Minimum Stay 3 - 7 nights

About the property

3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Camp with 100 ft. Private Sand Beach

Pine Beach Camp in the Adirondack Park of New York sits on one of the most exclusive sand beaches in the Champlain Valley. The quarter mile beach is bounded by the mouth of the Ausable River to the North and a cliff to the South and is only accessible by a private gravel road. The lake bottom is sandy and most residents walk around and enter the water with bare feet. Boats can be moored offshore within walking distance or pulled up on the beach. There is plenty to see and do from this location. Float a kayak, paddle board or row boat out on the lake or up the lazy Ausable River, go swimming, fishing or just relax on the patio or beach. At night, sit around a campfire on the beach and roast marshmallows. The location is also a perfect base from which to explore the ruggedly beautiful Adirondack Mountains. Lake Placid, site of the 1980 Olympic Games and in the heart of the Adirondacks is 39 miles away. Downtown Burlington, VT is a 1 hour ferry ride from Port Kent, NY (ferry accepts cars). From Burlington, the most scenic vistas Vermont has to offer are only a short drive away. The Amtrack Train station in Port Kent also provides access to and from Penn Station in NY as well as Montreal. Three public golf courses are located with in 8 miles with the nearest course within 3 miles. Ausable Chasm, a popular tourist attraction is only 3 miles distance.

The camp is well equipped and includes a washer and dryer.

Great place !

We really enjoyed our stay. It is the second summer we rent and we still love it: the place, the beach, the view. Very calm in general. Cottage is well equiped. Owners are very nice. Thank you Karol and John !

Beautiful home with spectacular views

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was perfect from start to finish. Karol's home is clean, spacious and comfortable. It was only 2 of us and our 2 dogs, but it could definitely fit way more people comfortably.

The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook and it was also great to have a gas grill to grill on.

Our dogs loved running around on the beach and swimming in the lake. The beach and the water are really clean which is a plus. We loved using the kayak but didn't get a chance to use the bikes.

The views of the mountains are amazing and the pictures don't do it justice. It was great to wake up and have our morning coffee on the porch and just stare out at the lake and mountains.

Karol was an excellent host and answered our questions promptly. We even extended our stay because we loved it so much.

We had a couple days/nights where it rained and we didn't mind it at all because we had a great house to sit in.

We got the pleasure to meet Karol's brother, who flew in on a plane and landed on the water. Being from Boston, we have never seen anything like that and were amazed by it! He was really friendly and gave us some excellent recommendations for things to do in the area and restaurants to eat at.

We can't wait to stay at Karol's home again! Highly recommend this home if you have the chance! You won't regret it!

We had a wonderful time. Plenty to do but we spent most of the time on the beautiful beach. The whole family wants to come back again.

Beautiful location, great owner!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed spending a week in October at this camp, although I would call it more a house considering how well appointed and comfortable it was. On our first night, we were treated to a glorious full moon rising over Lake Champlain, right in front (or back?) of the camp.

The first floor contains the living area – kitchen (with all the amenities), dining area for eight or so people, large inviting living room and television room, and a bookcase with interesting reading material. The second floor made us feel that we were indeed at a camp due to the beautiful wood paneling and disposition of the bedrooms, with a lake-front room made to enjoy the view, let in the breeze and relax.

Although our trip was in the fall, we enjoyed walking on the beach and sitting outside, looking across the lake for long periods of time and disconnecting entirely from our regular busy lives. I can only imagine how wonderful this house can be in the summer, with all the activities one can do in and on the lake.

As others have mentioned in their reviews, Karen is a very attentive and friendly owner. In all my communications with her, she responded quickly and very pleasantly. I hope to have the opportunity to rent this property again, in the summer.

Great place to unwind.

  • 4 of 5

My family and I had a great time, from enjoying camp fires on the beach, throwing the ball to our dog on the sand, and brewery hopping. Ausable Brewery is close by and had some great beers and nice chill vibe. The camp had what we needed for cooking and plenty of games for entertainment. Some parts of the camp building were a little beat up, but overall we were happy with our stay and the beach property.
