Overview

About the property

3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Camp with 100 ft. Private Sand Beach

Pine Beach Camp in the Adirondack Park of New York sits on one of the most exclusive sand beaches in the Champlain Valley. The quarter mile beach is bounded by the mouth of the Ausable River to the North and a cliff to the South and is only accessible by a private gravel road. The lake bottom is sandy and most residents walk around and enter the water with bare feet. Boats can be moored offshore within walking distance or pulled up on the beach. There is plenty to see and do from this location. Float a kayak, paddle board or row boat out on the lake or up the lazy Ausable River, go swimming, fishing or just relax on the patio or beach. At night, sit around a campfire on the beach and roast marshmallows. The location is also a perfect base from which to explore the ruggedly beautiful Adirondack Mountains. Lake Placid, site of the 1980 Olympic Games and in the heart of the Adirondacks is 39 miles away. Downtown Burlington, VT is a 1 hour ferry ride from Port Kent, NY (ferry accepts cars). From Burlington, the most scenic vistas Vermont has to offer are only a short drive away. The Amtrack Train station in Port Kent also provides access to and from Penn Station in NY as well as Montreal. Three public golf courses are located with in 8 miles with the nearest course within 3 miles. Ausable Chasm, a popular tourist attraction is only 3 miles distance.

The camp is well equipped and includes a washer and dryer.

Pine Beach Camp

  • 5 of 5

Everything was great. Great views during the day and at night with the lights from Burlington in view. Having a private beach was fantastic. I was able to bring 2 toy poodles along who got to go in the water. A first! I loved to hear the trains going by and tooting! The weather was also co-operative. The camp was enjoyable. So spacious , not just a cramped space. A washer and dryer was a definite plus. The owners were helpful in every way. This is a place to definitely return to.

Idyllic Location

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful lake front home. Plenty of room for the six of us with our cat. All the boats and bicycles were used and enjoyed. We had a fantastic time and are looking forward to returning.

Beautiful view

  • 4 of 5

The view was spectacular. Karol, joe and John were fabulous hosts. The house was very roomy and clean. The paddle board was a hit with the children. They swam for hours.

There were some bees in the master bedroom and John came quickly to spray them. Over all a great stay. One recommendation is to up grade the furniture.

Beautiful beach

  • 4 of 5

Amazing location, beautiful scenery. Perfect rental for our family. Although a bit outdated, the rental is very well equipped for a life on the beach: kayaks, paddle, row boat, chairs, swing set, bbq, wood for the fire, etc. The owners are very friendly. Everybody had a great and time (even our dog who spent hours fetching his toy in the water). The only thing we found disruptive was the honk of the trains during the night, but apart from that the place is very quiet, perfect for a well deserved rest. We loved it.

Beautiful home with spectacular views

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was perfect from start to finish. Karol's home is clean, spacious and comfortable. It was only 2 of us and our 2 dogs, but it could definitely fit way more people comfortably.

The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook and it was also great to have a gas grill to grill on.

Our dogs loved running around on the beach and swimming in the lake. The beach and the water are really clean which is a plus. We loved using the kayak but didn't get a chance to use the bikes.

The views of the mountains are amazing and the pictures don't do it justice. It was great to wake up and have our morning coffee on the porch and just stare out at the lake and mountains.

Karol was an excellent host and answered our questions promptly. We even extended our stay because we loved it so much.

We had a couple days/nights where it rained and we didn't mind it at all because we had a great house to sit in.

We got the pleasure to meet Karol's brother, who flew in on a plane and landed on the water. Being from Boston, we have never seen anything like that and were amazed by it! He was really friendly and gave us some excellent recommendations for things to do in the area and restaurants to eat at.

We can't wait to stay at Karol's home again! Highly recommend this home if you have the chance! You won't regret it!
