We are full time Vermonters who love Vermont's beauty and outdoor activities. We live nearby, 1/2 mile away, and are a great resource for area amenities and activities.
The Owner purchased this cabin in 2006
We originally purchased our cabin to be used as a guest house and our guests loved it so much they wanted to have their guests stay there as well ! We are now offering it for others to enjoy.
You will be hard pressed to find a more comfortable, relaxing escape in a most enchanting setting.
We came to Vermont to celebrate my 6oth. birthday, and it could not have been more perfect. The cabin and surrounding area were more beautiful than the pictures. Everything you could possibly need was provided. Cabin was charming and the bed was so comfortable! Sue is the best.
What a magical place! So welcoming and comfortable, with every little detail carefully thought of by the owners. Beautifully furnished and with such character. A secluded and romantic getaway in the woods, for just lazing in the hammock, reading books, watching movies and eating all of the wonderful local produce to be found in Woodstock. Don't hesitate to book!
This was our second time staying at Sue's beautiful and most welcoming cabin. We could think of no other place to spend our 15th anniversary. Tranquility and serenity are abundant... just what we wanted, and knew we would once again be fortunate enough to have. The cabin is so well equipped and has everything you could possibly need, we call it our "home away from home". There is so much to see and do around the gorgeous Woodstock area, so for us there is no other choice for a vacation. We hope to return a third time... there is always something new to be discovered.
.....the other part over rules and wants to send tons of KUDOS to the owner and her property!
2nd time staying at the cabin in as many years for my fiance and me. From the welcome message, to the lights being on and music playing, all the way through our entire stay, it was a welcoming, revitalizing and intimate getaway! We even received gentle snow fall for a picture-perfect end to a picture perfect weekend.
Woodstock is a lovely town, too. Perfect speed for a wind-down weekend from the mad holiday frenzy. Yes, we'll be looking to go back year-after-year. We are totally sold :-)
My husband and I spent a week this fall in this magical cottage; we've travelled a lot and stayed in many VRBO homes (most quite lovely), but this has spoiled us for anything else. Privately, picturesquely situated, beautifully appointed, cozy and full of the most thoughtful touches in each and every delightful nook and cranny. The owner, Sue, has a gift for making guests feel as though they've arrived home; her kindness and multiple courtesies made us feel like long lost friends. Combine that with the cabin's proximity to town (about 5 minutes), and you have the recipe for perfection. The only downside? We couldn't stay forever.
Thank you, Sue, for providing such an exquisite place.
Spent three wonderful nights at the cabin in July and can't say enough great things. The pictures are true to life, but still don't do it justice. The owner has thoughtful touches throughout the cabin and has compiled quite of a bit of area information as a resource for guests.
The kitchen has everything you would ever need and a testament to this is the fact that we had three breakfasts and three dinners at the cabin. We simply didn't want to leave and nowhere else would have the tremendous mountain views of our own table or deck.
The location is great for exploring the area and is very close to Woodstock, yet perfectly secluded. We didn't see another soul near the cabin.
The bed and bedroom were comfy and the cool evenings were great for sleeping with the windows open. The bathroom was nicely appointed. The living areas were ample and the furniture was perfect.
If you have stumbled upon this cabin, do yourself a favor and book it.
