Thank you for your interest in our home.
Although we live in England, our connection with Boothbay Harbor goes back a long way, more than thirty years, in fact!
We worked here as students, many decades ago, married and brought our three children back for frequent vacations over the years.
Spencer and Sam our older boys began their working lives in and around the Harbor...as busboys, waiters, barmen and their happiest employment as Camp Counsellors at YMCA Camp Knickerbocker!
Our youngest son Joshua has a learning disability/autism and he spent eight truly wonderful summers with his brothers at Camp.
We were fortunate enough to finally buy our own place in 2004 and regard Boothbay as our summer 'home'.
All the stuff there is ours... it is immaculate. It was completely remodelled a few years ago..new kitchen, new appliances, new bathrooms and mostly new furniture. The linens and towels are upgraded every two years, with the exception of the bed pillows which I buy new every year.
It's not your typical rental...............we close up fully for at least seven months a year and rentals are only available approximately ten weeks per year. Sorry....no children, no animals and no smokers.
You will enjoy the views from the deck and balcony..we have herons, osprey, ducks, shags and a multitude of wildlife visiting the water.
The small marina is a two minute stroll through the gardens. You can swim from the little rock beach (if you're very brave! We do all the time but then we're used to cool water!)
Town is a five minute walk away, with great restaurants and lovely diners.
If art is your passion, the town has some superb galleries to visit.
Take a sunset cruise around the islands, go whalewatching or take a sail on one of the antique windjammers!
Go fishing for striper, bluefish or mackerel.......even shark if you're very adventurous.
Golf at the now amazing local Country Club.
And of course.........
Eat Maine lobster inexpensively at the Lobstermans' Co- Op.
Why cook, when you can have takeaway seafood, burgers and fries at the 'soon to be world famous' Dunton's Doghouse............tell Gary we sent you!!..it's one minute walk away.
The nationally recognized Botanical Gardens are a must ........
Walk along the water's edge at Ocean Point and see (and hear) five lighthouses at once!
But most of all, do relax and enjoy our home.

About Maurice Healy
Hello Welcome to our home. We are Valerie and Maurice Healy. We grew up in Ireland, and now live in England........when we can't spend time in Boothbay! We first discovered Boothbay Harbor in the 1970s when we were students, working many happy summers in the town. We just could not get enough! As our family of three boys got older, we just had to re-establish our Boothbay connection, first renting, then buying this lovely property. Our home in Boothbay has been such an asset to our family life; our young adult sons truly look at Boothbay as their second home, not just a vacation place.
Maurice Healy purchased this Condo in 2003
Why Maurice Healy chose West Boothbay Harbor
It is so tranquil, yet convenient. Is at the water's edge, a short stroll to town shops and restaurants, We did a full refurbishment just a few years ago including a very smart new kitchen and all new bathrooms and appliances. It has a clean uncluttered feel to it, over 2,000 sq. feet for your use....... We just love it!

Amazing Condo, Absolutly Perfect!
This condo has everything you could possibly want. Gorgeous view, close to restaurants and shops, amazingly clean, and wonderfully comfortable beds! Just perfect!
Good location. Had everything needed for the perfect holiday.
We have visited BoothBay for the past 20 years, but this was the first time we actually stayed in one place for the whole week duration. This home allowed us the freedom to explore not only BoothBay, but many of the surrounding towns as well. And we knew each day that we would return to this beautiful, comfortable home. This condo is incredibly clean, well appointed and stocked with just about everything. We so appreciate the Healy's trusting us with their beautiful home and it's contents. We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our 52nd anniversary. We love BoothBay and the Healy's home just made it more perfect.
Wonderful stay in Boothbay Harbor
My wife and I stayed a week at this property and had a great time. The property is well maintained and kept extremely clean by the staff person. Ever changing views in the tidal basin and a very private and quiet setting, plus close proximity to town are great pluses. The unit is just a short stroll to everything Boothbay Harbor has to offer. The unit has a fully equipped kitchen and top notch washer and dryer. The owner is great to work with and leaves detailed instructions on all facets of the unit. Highly recommended.
Cheery and Great Location
The four of us loved the condo. When we arrived, the lights were on, and there were flowers, candy, and wine on the counter. We loved the location since it was right on the cove and near to the shops. We were given four pages of directions and hints about places to eat and things to see. We enjoyed everything about the condo and Boothbay Harbor.
Extremely clean, well appointed, lovely setting.
We spent 2 weeks here in late June, early July. The condo is an airy and open floor plan with lots of windows and sky lights. The view of Mill Cove is stunning, with the shoreline less than 50 feet from the deck. It was immaculately clean, well maintained with a homey feel. Instructions for electronics were very helpful, made settling in quite easy. Local contact was excellent and readily available. The location is perfect, a short 5 to 10 minute walk to town with many restaurant and shopping options. It is definitely a solid 5 star, that we plan to repeat.
Boating, whale watching and charter boat fishing. Nature walks. Is very close to the acclaimed Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. And of course, those wonderful autumn leaves to enjoy. Daytrips to Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland. Antiqueing in Wiscasset and Hallowell. One hour from L.L.Bean and so many outlet shops in Freeport. A short walk to the boat that goes to Monhegan Island daily. Close to Barrett Park, a lovely park right on the water with great swimming and relaxing. Southport Island is a short drive and there you will find Hendrick's Head Light and a small beach. Fireworks over the Harbor for the Fourth of July and Windjammer Days (end of June). The historic Opera House in downtown Boothbay Harbor has an amazing line-up of concerts and shows all year long. Oh yes, and the food....great variety of food, many places to have lobster and other seafood as well as Italian, Vietnamese and the very famous Dunton's Doghouse is just up the street.
