Beautiful Waterfront Home, roomy/convenient, on the edge of Boothbay Harbor cove

Bedrooms 2
Property type condo
Minimum Stay 7 nights

About the property

Accommodations: 2 Bedrooms/2 Baths, Sleeps 4, VERY spacious, bright, convenient.

Townhouse condominium in a fantastic location, a beautiful relaxing and very spacious home for you to enjoy.

Over twenty VRBO 5-star ratings!

Year-round accommodation with easy door-front parking.

It is actually a large 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 2,500 sq. ft.+ home, but one suite is unavailable to renters.

Waterside location, with an easy stroll to the town wharfs, restaurants and stores.

Local amenities galore to make this your special vacation place.

Thank you for your interest in our home.

Although we live in England, our connection with Boothbay Harbor goes back a long way, more than thirty years, in fact!

We worked here as students, many decades ago, married and brought our three children back for frequent vacations over the years.

Spencer and Sam our older boys began their working lives in and around the busboys, waiters, barmen and their happiest employment as Camp Counsellors at YMCA Camp Knickerbocker!

Our youngest son Joshua has a learning disability/autism and he spent eight truly wonderful summers with his brothers at Camp.

We were fortunate enough to finally buy our own place in 2004 and regard Boothbay as our summer 'home'.

All the stuff there is ours... it is immaculate. It was completely remodelled a few years kitchen, new appliances, new bathrooms and mostly new furniture. The linens and towels are upgraded every two years, with the exception of the bed pillows which I buy new every year.

It's not your typical rental...............we close up fully for at least seven months a year and rentals are only available approximately ten weeks per year. children, no animals and no smokers.

You will enjoy the views from the deck and balcony..we have herons, osprey, ducks, shags and a multitude of wildlife visiting the water.

The small marina is a two minute stroll through the gardens. You can swim from the little rock beach (if you're very brave! We do all the time but then we're used to cool water!)

Town is a five minute walk away, with great restaurants and lovely diners.

If art is your passion, the town has some superb galleries to visit.

Take a sunset cruise around the islands, go whalewatching or take a sail on one of the antique windjammers!

Go fishing for striper, bluefish or mackerel.......even shark if you're very adventurous.

Golf at the now amazing local Country Club.

And of course.........

Eat Maine lobster inexpensively at the Lobstermans' Co- Op.

Why cook, when you can have takeaway seafood, burgers and fries at the 'soon to be world famous' Dunton's Doghouse............tell Gary we sent you!!'s one minute walk away.

The nationally recognized Botanical Gardens are a must ........

Walk along the water's edge at Ocean Point and see (and hear) five lighthouses at once!

But most of all, do relax and enjoy our home.

About Maurice Healy

Welcome to our home. We are Valerie and Maurice Healy.

We grew up in Ireland, and now live in England........when we can't spend time in Boothbay!

We first discovered Boothbay Harbor in the 1970s when we were students, working many happy summers in the town. We just could not get enough!

As our family of three boys got older, we just had to re-establish our Boothbay connection, first renting, then buying this lovely property. Our home in Boothbay has been such an asset to our family life; our young adult sons truly look at Boothbay as their second home, not just a vacation place.

Maurice Healy purchased this condo in 2003

Why Maurice Healy chose Maine

It is so tranquil, yet convenient. Is at the water's edge, a short stroll to town shops and restaurants,

We did a full refurbishment just a few years ago including a very smart new kitchen and all new bathrooms and appliances.

It has a clean uncluttered feel to it, over 2,000 sq. feet for your use.......

We just love it!

What makes this condo unique

Mostly the peace and quiet of Maine.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"We really enjoyed Boothaby Harbor. The stay at the condo was excellant. We say a lot of beautiful scenery and went whale watching and were lucky enough to see many whales. Food was wonderful. We got our fill of lobster."

Fabulous Condo

  • 5 of 5

We loved this condo. Clean, comfortable, airy and tasteful decor combined with an awesome view deserve 5 stars. The whole area is full of beautiful scenery and fine eateries but I could have spent hours looking out from the condo balcony at the ever changing Mill Cove. Canadian geese, Mallards, eider ducks and a myriad of gulls and wading birds were some of the delights.

WOW! This home has classy and comfortable furnishings, it is spacious and bright with an amazing view of the cove and great location for walking to all Boothbay has to offer. We cannot even begin to tell you what a great home and area this is. The people here are so friendly and we felt a great sense of community. After shopping for a coastal home for about a year now, we have settled on this area. The botanical gardens are a must, clam chowder at the World is Mine Oyster, Blue Moon Café, Pemiquid lighthouse and Seagull Restaurant and gift for (lunch overlooking the ocean). Live music at Robinson's dancing with the locals. We have already started recommending this home to our family and friends.

Fall Season in Boothbay Harbor

  • 5 of 5

We first rented this very comfortable and well outfitted condo for a week in October 2015. Our experience was so special that we returned for a two week stay this October 2016 with plans to return in 2017. We highly recommend this lovely condo for coastal Maine lovers. Plenty to see and do, or perfect to kick back to unwind.

The Best Place to Stay in Boothbay Harbor!

  • 5 of 5

This is the second year in a row that we stayed in Valerie and Maurice's gorgeous condo. We were fortunate to stay for the months of July and September this year, and it truly feels like home. Such a lovely view out on the cove. You couldn't find a more perfect location - walk to town, yet a peaceful, serene spot that feels very private.

Everything is spotless and completely updated. Incredible light fills each room. You'll love the gourmet kitchen and spacious rooms all looking out on the water. We have been visiting Boothbay Harbor for many years and this is our favorite place to stay- walk to all your favorite restaurants and shops, watch the boats going by the marina. So many wonderful nearby options like the Botanical Garden, Opera House, boat tours at the harbor, ice cream shops. Thank you Valerie and Maurice-you are wonderful hosts. So glad we were able to visit with you this summer! Thanks also to Cindy who always brings the beautiful peonies from her garden to welcome you.

In Love with Maine!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week staying at the Healy's beautiful, boothBay townhome - the property is just as pictured and better. The home is very clean and comfortable and provides plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The view off the deck was enjoyed many mornings over coffee as well as evenings over a cold beer or glass of wine. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a beautiful vase of fresh peonies and a nice bottle of wine - thank you Valerie and Maurice, very nice touch. We were on the go most of the week enjoying the Windjammer festival, the great selection of restaurants that are just a short walk into town (ate at Ports of Italy twice!) and we absolutely loved visiting the Botanical Gardens - it is a must do if you are in the area. While we have a lot of places to travel to on our bucket list, we think that Boothbay is a definite repeat! Thank you again M&V for sharing your fantastic property on VRBO!
