With similar needs, I would see if this property is available for rent without checking other properties. The description seemed pretty accurate to me. The owner was very helpful and friendly on the few questions I had.
Incredible Experience--Perfect for large groups
Laura's place is the perfect location and has everything you need for a large group. If you and a large group are planning on hanging out on the river with RiverRiders, I wouldn't recommend anywhere else. Laura and her team were so helpful throughout our stay. Will definitely stay again!
80% good, 20% not
I stayed here with my 2 young children and both sets of grandparents the week of July 4th.
What we liked:
* Very spacious! Great family room and dinner table for entertaining and cooking your own meals (We were surprised how big it was as the pics don't do it justice)
* Hot tub was nice and clean (it was 90 degree weather so we didn't use it much...)
* Nicely located by River Riders if you want to enjoy the activities, and the house was well stocked with family games and activities
What we didn't like:
* Poor appliances - dish washer didn't work and the coffee machine took 30 minutes to make a pot (would recommend bringing paper plates / cutlery, etc. otherwise be prepared to hand wash)
* The bedroom on the ground floor was musty, the airco didn't work properly, and the window had a huge gap in it (easy for break ins and releasing cool air)
* Although the linens and bed sheets were clean, the floors, walls and windows of the house could have been cleaner
* No umbrella outside on the patio or blinds in the kitchen window where the sun shines 75% of the day - we ended up going to WalMart and buying a cheap one for the week
Great Adventure Weekend.
We loved this property for our Fathers Day getaway. Tubing, hot tubbing, fire putting and wonderful space. All good. Special thanks to Laura Knott for her accommodation of our special requests. And- a shout out to Rackelle for her delightful welcome and orientation. Five stars.
Beautiful house and property! Not one complaint - we loved our stay here!
House was beautiful!
This property was perfect for our large family! It has plenty of space and was spotless!
