We are two professionals in our mid-fifties who enjoy everything about the outdoors during all seasons of the year.
Anne-Marie Chapman purchased this house in 2007
This location provides us with an activity center for our hiking, quading, swimming, kayaking, rafting, water skiing, snow skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and ice skating. We are surrounded by golf courses which our friends use, but we are too busy with other activities to have time to golf.
We are avid skiers and snowboarders who frequent Kicking Horse Resort in winter. We use our boat on Lake Windermere, and enjoy bird watching in the Columbia Wetlands. We regularly go to the Saturday Farmer's Market on Main Street through July and August. We walk our dog 1.5 km down Walker Lane to the lake. One of our favorite eateries is Ray Ray's, a lovely lakeside restaurant with outside seating, excellent food and great service.
We had a great trip. All the communication was excellent and timely and the location itself was spacious and clean. It had everything we required and more. We really enjoyed being able to make eggs benedict. It was so nice to have space to spread out and enjoy the feeling of staying in a home rather than a hotel. The neighborhood was very quiet and a quick drive to anything we needed with lovely views.
We just had a fantastic stay at this Invermere property. It was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Views were incredible with lots to do around the town. The landlords were brilliant and very accommodating to every request of ours. All in all a great trip!
We had a great time on our trip to Invermere. This rental was ideal and had everything we needed plus more. Everything was clean and comfortable. The town and area has a lot to do, and we enjoyed how dog-friendly it is. We did a lot of cross country skiing and enjoyed the restaurants in town. We look forward to exploring this area in the other seasons and will definitely be back. This was my first time booking a home rental and this owner was more than helpful through the process.
Our family of 5, including a dog, just had a very comfortable 4 night stay. The house is 5 minute drive from centre of town and has a lovely green space behind for dogs, although not an enclosed garden. The kitchen was fully equipped and had 3 large bedrooms upstairs. I am very particular about cleanliness and I would certainly not hesitate in renting this house again.
We enjoyed our weekend at the house. Found it a bit far from town, definitely need a car. Backs onto a field which is nice for the dogs, but no fenced yard so when you let them out you have to go out with them. Another place we have stayed is closer to town and has a nice yard...but the prices is higher. So you get what you pay for. This is a nice house at a decent price.
Family with two under two and a dog and it was great. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable. Views were spectacular and location was good. Owners were very accommodating for any questions we had prior to our arrival. Can't wait to come back int the summer to see more sides of Invermere.
Invermere is nestled in the Columbia Valley surrounded by the Canadian Rocky Mountains to the east, the Purcell Mountains to the west, and features the sandy shores of Lake Windermere. It's the place for all season recreation!
