Bremerton Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Cottage, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

This is a chance for a unique Pacific Northwest experience. The property is a rare opportunity to experience living on the Puget Sound....It is truly one of a kind. Professionally decorated beach house sits out over the Puget Sound. Wake up with the sun light filtering through the many windows. Walk out on a private deck over looking the expansive view with a hot cup of coffee. Just a few steps down to a very private beach. Search for crabs, go clamming, dig for oysters, or build a rock collection. At night snuggle up on the deck, and listen to the tide come in or relax by the indoor fireplace in the bedroom on those chilly NW nights. Beach house has expansive windows for sweeping views, fully stocked kitchen and linens, washer and dryer, 52in t.v., and WIFI if you really need to be connected but we have a feeling you won't.

Minutes away from the Bremerton downtown area with fountain park, naval museum, and eateries. Catch a ferry to downtown Seattle for a day trip to the markets, museums, theater, and so much more.

Close by is plenty to do from golf, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, bowling, breweries, camping....most of all RELAXING.

About The Owner

We are a family of 4 who work hard and are dedicated to loving our boys. Our home is something that we take exceptional care of and if we are not working to make it just right for our visitors, we are working on our main residence to make it just right for us. We love to be on the water, travel, and be together.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2001

Why The Owner chose Puget Sound

The Kitsap area is a beautiful region that is close to so much but still remote enough to feel that peace and relaxation we forget to take time for. This home is truly unique, one of a kind, and an amazing NW experience.

What makes this cottage unique

Quiet relaxation in a beach atmosphere. This homes sits steps away from the water. It is truly a rare home that even people in the NW have never experienced. We love 'End of the Point' and are excited to share it with you.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We don't want to leave. This cottage is charming and peaceful. We all loved it most especially your responsiveness and the scenery. We couldn't have asked for a better place to vacation. We will be back. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

View is unique and pleasant, but cozy and comfortable it is not!

  • 2 of 5

The Cottage was misrepresented by no gas fireplace and the photos are deceiving. A lot of mirrors to disguise the place as larger. The furniture was small and uncomfortable. The place was uninsulated, thus making it cold, then warm, then cold again. Beds need upgrading. The view was good, with the water right outside the window. Viewing all the marine life was pleasant.

Wonderous winter stay!

  • 5 of 5

Hands down, the most unique, fun, relaxing "waterfront" accommodations you will find in the Puget Sound area. I italicized waterfront because basically this home is in the water during high tides (not to worry; it’s anchored by a massive concrete foundation). The home is well-kept and clean with all the amenities needed for a comfortable visit: updated, efficient kitchen, hip yet vintage interior decorating throughout, comfortable living and bedrooms (like sleeping on a cloud), well-appointed and roomy bathroom (with soaking tub) and a large plexiglass fenced deck with covered sitting area. Just about every window in the house provide beautiful views of the sound but it’s the smart interior decorating touches that provide the feeling like you are staying at the guest house of that rich, intelligent, well traveled Aunt-with-no-kids that everyone wishes for (well, for those of us who don’t actually have one…). Outside the front door you will find a truly magical place. Framed with nice stone work and solid carpentry the outdoor covered sitting area (with classy teak furniture) forces you to let go and unwind with the ebb and flow of the tide as a kaleidoscope of sea birds, jelly fish, otters and sky come into detailed view. This is where my grandson and I spent most of our time. It was a bit cold and damp but I never felt it. Instead, I just basked in the fountain of youth wonder of this place and by nightfall I was thanking my lucky stars to have stumbled across the “End of the Point”. To the owners and your views on life: Bravo! I will definitely be back again and again and again!

A lovely little cottage on the water

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I decided to stay at the cottage for our anniversary weekend and we were very pleased. Mike and Rachel did an amazing job at providing a cozy getaway. The decor is charming and everything we needed was readily available. Winco was a short drive for convenience as well. We loved being able to look out over the water to see ducks swim by and even saw some jellyfish during high tide. Our stay was truly magical and we will be back!

A nice coupla days

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I take regular getaways for the sake of rest and relaxation. The Cottage was perfect. Pretty much everything we needed and nothing we didn't. The interior is comfortable. The bed was excellent. The 52" TV was welcome as were the big picture windows where we spent most of our time, when not out on the deck. We're Northwest locals but we do love looking out at the sound. And we're bird watchers so the bufflehead, grebes, mergansers, yellowlegs and scoters were all very welcome, as well as the fat harbor seals. One of the best things I can say about the Cottage is that while you are in a fairly suburban, even congested area, the Cottage is right at the end of the point so all of that is behind you and it seems like you're alone in this beautiful place. My one complaint is that the coffee pot is SO SMALL and a place like this requires lots of cups of coffee over the course of a long morning watching the shifting tides. [One other small alert: the incredibly convenient Winco grocery store does not take any credit cards- just FYI].

Unfortunate

  • 1 of 5

We had a bad experience with the owners not the place . One night we came back in the dark and the slippery stone steps were pitch black and my husband fell on the last one. No harm.We left early because my husband's father was dying. I guess they thought it was something else because they gave us a guest rating of 2. Very silly. We rent from VRBO a lot and for extended periods of time. It is always wonderful. We've never run into people like these. Too bad. The place is cute.

Owner's Response: To address the situation with the lighting. When you mentioned that the path was dark and that we should have a light, I explained that there is lighting on the path and didn't know why it wouldn't have been on. I immediately went down to take a look at it and found that someone had unplugged the lights. I fixed it so that the lights can not be unplugged anymore. The reason I gave you a guest rating of 2 was because of your attitude from the moment we met you and not because you left a day early. We have always gone out of our way to make sure our guests have a great experience and have met many wonderful people and families in the years that we have been doing this.
