Second Annual Week at Rockcraft!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at Rockcraft and we once again had a fabulous week! The house continues to be absolutely perfect, and the the new porch furniture really enhanced the outdoors experience. Rockcraft is an ideal vacation home - perfect inside and out. The kitchen and furnishings are fabulous, and all the rooms are spacious. We rented kayaks and SUPs for the week (Sebago Kayak) along with a small sailboat (Sebago Sailing). We ordered lobsters from the lobster place 3 minutes away, and Italian from a restaurant in Portland. Truly a wonderful family vacation!

WE had the most perfect, peaceful week

  • 5 of 5

We had our wedding at Rockcraft on Aug. 6th. I can't tell you how hospitable Karen and her staff were. We walked in to the home with a beautiful bottle of wine waiting for us. The house is so spacious and our whole wedding party was able to stay comfortably (23+) adults with plenty of privacy and common space. We had a beautiful spot for our reception on the stone porch and a beautiful grassy area overlooking the lake for our ceremony and a tent for our reception. It was an unforgettable evening and a perfect week to follow. We had access to what I think is the most beautiful part of the lake. We had a beautiful dock where we could hang out and swim all day. It is the perfect spot to connect to nature and with your friends/family with the ability to have privacy when you want it. It was the perfect wedding week filled with everything I could have possibly wanted. Boat rentals are close by, the water was crystal clear and warm, the fire pit is gorgeous, lawn games galore, quiet reading spots, golf course next door, late night fires under beautiful starry skies, outdoor grill and outdoor eating spots, just beauty everywhere inside and out. I wish I could relive that magical week over and over. You can't go wrong with this place.

100% Fabulous!

  • 5 of 5

We just wrapped a week at Rockcraft. The house and grounds are truly spectacular! Not only are all the finishes and furnishings top-notch, but the house is extremely comfortable and livable. Most nights we cooked in the huge kitchen for all 16 of us, and also had lobsters and Italian food brought in for a couple of dinners. We rented kayaks, SUPs and a small sailboat for the week, so we were able to take advantage of the spectacular lake front setting. We also did several different hikes, which were all only a short drive from the house. Karen (the owner) was very helpful answering our questions throughout the entire rental process. All in all a fantastic experience, and one we hope to repeat!

Wedding and Vacation week extravaganza!!

  • 5 of 5

We rented Rockcraft for a week in August, for a combo wedding and vacation. We held our rehearsal dinner on the grounds in front of the boathouse on the Friday we checked in, the wedding was held under a tent on the lawn overlooking the lake on Saturday, and then we had the rest of the week to relax, have fun, and enjoy! Karen (the owner) was so helpful to us from the moment we contacted her to visit Rockcraft as a potential venue for our wedding right up until the Big Day. Karen kept the lines of communication open, and allowed us to visit Rockcraft a few times before our rental to view the layout of the property to better help plan out all the details of our wedding. She worked with us throughout the time leading up to our wedding/rental about any questions/concerns we had and was so pleasant and accommodating through it all. The beauty of the estate and it’s location on Sebago (our favorite place) still takes my breath away. We knew the moment we stepped out on the stone porch overlooking the water that this was the very place we wanted to say “I do”. The home and the grounds are so superbly maintained and pristine, they made such a wonderful backdrop for our wedding and photos. We held our first look in the Japanese garden, and did group shots in front of the stone fireplaces in the Great Room and out in front of the carriage house. Our ceremony was held right on the edge of the water, and we had a large tent set up for our reception on the lawn. Cocktail hour was held on the stone porch and the side lawn with lawn games. We had so many compliments from our guests on the beauty of Rockcraft and how it was such a perfect location and set up for our wedding. One of our goals for our wedding was to have an all encompassing feel to it. The size of the home allowed our immediate family and bridal party to stay with us, and we loved being able to share every moment of our wedding with them and to allow them to stay the rest of the week with us to keep the celebration going. The house has been meticulously restored, we loved the amazing kitchen and huge dining room. The master bedroom was open and airy, and a great place for all the girls to get ready for the wedding. The guys loved the carriage house's game room, and it was a hit for late night entertainment. We cannot say enough great things about this home/property...it really was a dream come true! Would highly recommend to any bride and groom looking to have a wedding on Sebago Lake!

1-10 rating scale, this vacation was a 15

  • 5 of 5

This was our best vacation ever. The views were breathtaking and the home was spectacular. The owner was very easy to communicate with via email and responded quickly We were met by the caretaker who was very friendly and personable, showing us around the property and the home. One of the highlights for the adults was the chefs kitchen All of a sudden, everyone was offering to cook. There were children ranging in age from three months to 15 years old. There was something for everyone, pool tables, poker, zip line, floating dock and fire pit to name a few ( we never did play croquet or bad mitten ). We rented a ski boat for the week which was great fun. We went into town to go to the grocery store and get ice cream but never did make it to the restaurants. We took a hike at the state park and learned about geocaching. I felt like I actually took a vacation. I was relaxed and rested and the kids had a blast. We can stop talking about the vacation and I can't say enough about the experience. I would like to keep it a secret, if I could. You will not be disappointed vacationing at Rockcraft lodge!
