Guestbook comments from the owner

We have finally returned home after a great vacation in Paris and Nice.

We would like to thank you and Marylyn for a wonderful stay in your apartment in Paris. Our daughter felt at home while away from home and that makes all the difference!

Much appreciated!

Anniversary Trip to Paris

  • 5 of 5

i can't begin to say enough good things about this property and the way Albert and staff made us feel welcomed. The unit is older but has been updated and well cared for along the way. The mini kitchen is completely stocked with whatever you may need to cook a quick breakfast or bring something back in the evening from a local eatery or one of the several supermarkets located right around the corner . Refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave all worked great The location of this studio flat is perfect-we loved the bustling neighborhoods of the Latin quarter. Located just off a pedestrian alley it was very quiet and extremely safe. Lots of quaint restaurant options in the neighborhood or across St. Michel or down St. Germain. We walked to Champs/Arc, multiple museums, gardens, Notre Dame and so many other points of interest without having to grab an Uber. The unit has brand new windows which completely blocks any outside noise late at night. This property offered reliable wifi and cable if you needed it. The bathroom had ample linens, strong water pressure and plenty of hot water. The unit also had several areas to store your clothes and luggage. Looking to really immerse yourself in all things Paris-this studio flat is perfect for that .

We will definitely be back and recommend to our friends! Thanks again Albert!

Great location and value in the latin quarter

  • 4 of 5

The location is on an extremely small street closed to traffic. We picked it for the price, location and roominess. Not many places were available when I looked that were this big and had a queen bed (I am not used to double and was sleeping with a friend) as well as an optional pull out that made an extra single mattress on the floor in case sleeping together didn't work well. The windows were nice. Very small kitchen tucked in the cupboard but we didn't need much. Lots of storage which I really liked. There were 2 sinks in the bathroom and 2 desks/tables for computers etc, so that was great. People were nice to deal with although expect you may have to wait for a bit to meet them at the door of the apt but we didn't have to wait too long. During the day there was always a scuzzy drunk sitting in the next neighbouring step, however we didn't have any incident and they weren't there at night when we returned. Doors lock securely anyway. This is close to the seine and a bike rental station (Velib) and numerous tourist restaurants, but also close to better French restaurants, including in St Germain. A bit of restaurant noise was audible as they cleaned up to close at the end of the night but nothing too serious as we went to bed late anyway. Free calls to north America and within France. We would go back! My friend forgot her hat there and the cleaning lady very kindly made arrangements so we could pick it up from her. Thanks Albert.

Very centrally located. Extremely well equipped. Excellent service .

  • 5 of 5

My son and I independently looked at all the choices , and we both picked this one. It was an excellent choice, and I will certainly recommend it to any of our friends, who have plans for visiting Paris. The owner had a list with instructions - as well as very helpful hints re anything one might need - especially for people staying a week or more.````J. Nielsen

Wonderful apt and location!

  • 4 of 5

We didn't have any problem finding the apartment, but had a good laugh lugging our suitcases up the spiral stairs after a long over night flight. We were met in the apt and shown around and told how to hook up to wi-fi. It was clean and comfortable. The homeaway listing was very accurate. We were here for 3 nights and everything was great. We felt very secure.

The immediate area is full of shops and lots of restaurants, but the apt was quiet. I would stay here again if I return to Paris!!

Communication was great, before, during and after our trip. Thank you!

Great Location and Nice & Clean Apartment

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was in a great location, as we preferred Latin Quarter to any other neighborhood. Convenient to everything. Very clean. Bed was very comfortable... for my husband and myself. Very quiet...easy to sleep. Albert and Marylyn were wonderful, too. You can tell this apartment has been well taken care of. We give it 5 stars!

outstanding Left Bank location

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent two weeks here during an abnormally warm period in July, 2015. Other than several nights of discomfort caused by the heat wave, our stay here was wonderful. The apartment is exactly as represented in the information and the photos provided by Albert, the property's owner. Albert was a pleasure to deal with--always helpful, friendly, and professional--as was his assistant, Marilyn.

For us, this was an ideal location: in the 5th, close to the 6th, near the intersection of Boulevards St. Germain and St. Michel, and a very short walk from the Seine. The apartment is only about five minutes from Notre Dame, ten minutes from Luxembourg Gardens, and fifteen minutes from the Louvre. It is located on a sidestreet just off an extremely busy stretch of lively eateries. The sound of nearby conversation, laughter, and music can be quite enjoyable (several afternoons, we were even treated to piano pieces played by someone in the building across the street); but, if such sounds are unwanted, the windows are airtight and provide a very quiet environment. While the immediate neighborhood provides endless opportunities for enjoyment, enrichment, and entertainment of various kinds, it's worth noting that the Cluny metro stop is right down the street, making it very easy to get all around Paris.

In short, we would highly recommend this apartment and this owner to anyone looking for an affordable, yet well-maintained, property on the Left Bank.
