Space 500 sq ft
Property type cottage

About the property

Peaceful 1 bedroom riverfront that feels secluded yet is in the heart of it all

La P'tite Diable is a secluded waterfront chalet directly in Mont-tremblant village by the Diable river's old metal bridge, 7 minutes to Mont-Tremblant resort. Here you can withdraw from the hustle and bustle yet still be in the heart of Mont Tremblant QC. Our resplendent log-cabin style interior and private yard invite either relaxation or outdoor activities. Here is the summary of key amenities, read on for more: 1 room with queen bed, 1 washroom, indoor fully equipped for 4, Cable TV and free wi-fi internet, outdoor screened eating area with table and 4 chairs, 1 outdoor firepit, 2 bikes. This cute and cozy 500 square feet cottage is packed with everything you will need to enjoy your stay (a generous first supply of key supplies is included).

Relax while admiring the slow flow of the river and the crackling of an outdoor fire, energize your senses.

You will be just 5 minutes away from the Mont-Tremblant resort, 2 minutes from the Spa Scandinave and at walking distance to cross-country ski and snowshoe trails. These trails are included in the official Ironman Tremblant route on the P'tit train du Nord.

Enjoy a truly captivating vacation, year-round, on the Diable River. There are breathtaking views of the water, faun and fauna all within 15 meters from the house. This perfect waterfront property allows you to view the abundant wildlife from the open-plan dining and living room. Take pleasure in an incredible moment of rest without any immediate neighbours.

In winter, you are in the heart of Mount Tremblant's most popular activities.

In the spring, you can walk out to the front of the house and fish in one of the most renowned fly-fishing rivers in Quebec.

In summer, rest your chair riverside, or in the river, and let La Diable's water tickle your feet while reading your favorite book. Swim in beautifully clean and refreshing water flowing from Mont-Tremblant's National Park.

Bring your boat or your motor home. Our property features flat parking and you can dock your boat daily on Lake Mercier (details on the municipality's website). Lake Mercier is one of Tremblant's most sought out lakes for swimming and boat rides - it is only 3 minutes away from the chalet. In the same area, the old village of Mont-Tremblant offers shops, restaurants and grocery stores.

The perfect getaway for a couple! Sorry, no more than two guests.

Like many waterfront properties in Tremblant, our tranquil surroundings might be influenced by the vibrancy of all other activities a four-season resort destination has to offer. If you prefer pure relaxation, there are times of year best suited for that as well. Please, check out the Circuit Mont-Tremblant race schedule, Tremblant and Tourism Mont-Tremblant's web sites and book at other times. Most rivers and lakes directly in Tremblant experience the same temporary transformation as sound carries through rivers and lakes.

Zoya Girard purchased this cottage in 2012

Why Zoya Girard chose Mont-Tremblant

I settled in Tremblant after having lived in 5 other cities for a reason many of us 'Tremblanteois' share... for the summers surprisingly. Many people are first attracted to Tremblant for its internationally renowned skiing; they often decide to stay in Tremblant for its summers and the appeal it has 4 seasons out of the year. This property is the perfect mix of it all: in the center of all activities any season, yet withdrawn just enough... at the corner of the bike paths and waterfront of course.

What makes this cottage unique

Its just so cute, perfectly located close to Tremblant's favourite activities, no immediate neighbours and as a bonus its a riverfront. The sound of the river year round is soothing and so relaxing.

My wife and I enjoyed a two night stay at the end of April as a break from our usually hectic schedules and were looking for some peace and tranquility. Zoya's place was exactly what we needed! It is cosy but has plenty of space for a couple and is equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need. Having lunch by the river and a fire in the evening, you can happily escape from the world and enjoy the setting and nature. The location does also mean that if you want to head out to a restaurant, bike or hike the Petit train du nord, everything is close at hand. Look forward to heading back there again in the future.

  • 5 of 5

Zoya & Marc really offer a beautiful river front unique experience! That cabin was perfect for my wife, dog, and I. It was fully equipped with all we needed for making delicious meals with a fantastic view. We would highly recommend this place to anyone. We were able to walk to cross-country trails and to were very close drive to a number of other beautiful hikes, snowshoeing and the village.

Thank you so much for sharing your place with us!

Cozy, comfortable, convenient!

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I agree that it's one of the best holidays away we've had away in a while. Zoya and Marc's cabin is exactly as described and more: conveniently located & well equipped with beautiful amenities.

The river it is located on is shallow and clear, and made for a wonderful swimming spot steps away from the door. Our dog loved it!

The cabin has everything you need; even items we brought just in case were stashed away in a box as we didn't need them. The cottage comes well equipped to make roughly any meal you would like, not to mention starting your day with a delicious espresso.

Located just off the bike paths, we were able to quickly get to the old village for a sandwich and coffee or swim in Lac Mercier, or a 10 minute drive to Saint Jovite had us stocked for groceries. The area is beautiful and easy to navigate, senses kept sharp by the many many deer we had the pleasure of meeting! If we could recommend a few lovely places to treat yourself, the Quintessence hotel provided an exquisite dinner, and a day trip to Saint Sauveur had us very pleased in finding the sweet and savoury Lola 45 - a place you must try!

Zoya and Marc are available if needed, and were easy and helpful to communicate with. We loved our end-of-summer retreat at their cabin and look foward to returning next summer, or maybe in the winter for some skiing!

Cheers and thank you so much for a lovely stay.

Lovely cottage!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful winter ski getaway in this lovely cottage. Short drive to Mont Tremblant but nice to get away from the business to this tranquil spot on the river. Hope to return again someday!

Past Guests say it best… Here's how they've described it.

- The cottage is very close to many activities such as golfing at one of many high caliber courses, biking on the petit train du nord trail just up the road, and dining in Old Tremblant, new Tremblant or St Jovite. As much as it is accessible to these activities, it is also secluded, peaceful and away from the crowds. The river just in front of the house is perfect for relaxing.

-Very charming and calm settings, the location is very private, surrounded by nature and right by the river.

- Very well located, it offers peace, nature, silence, joy.

- We loved siting by the river listening to the water, having dinner outside by the river, going to bike rides and swimming in the river.

- Everything is exactly as pictured, from the idyllic setting to the clean, comfortable and well-equipped interior.

-Perfect location for us, just outside the village and resort area, with a rural and private feel that is truly relaxing. It was hot when we visited, so we cooled off in the river. Cabin is an ideal setup and great layout, especially the open floor plan for the living space. Outside back deck and backyard are great for lounging in the outdoor chairs and catching a river breeze. Bike path is right around the corner, and leads to the village (7-10 min ride).

- Ideal for a romantic getaway. We had all the necessary to sleep, cook and have fun! We thoroughly enjoyed being there next to the river. We even went cycling to the lake which was very close by.

-We appreciated a lot the closeness of the river and the sensation of peace close to the nature. The view (sight) was very appreciable in the evening around the barbecue.

-Absolutely beautiful setting,

-Woww! Zoya's cottage is a wonder! The perfect place to relax in the nature while being close to everything.

-The location is spectacular too - very private and green with mature trees and a beautiful river flowing by, and if that's not enough, at night fireflies lit up in the trees above!

-The view of the river is amazing, and we were lucky enough to witness a 'supermoon' the weekend we were there. Zoya and Marc were friendly, communicative, and accessible before, during, and after our stay. We really enjoyed the cabin's proximity to the town and all the little details at the chalet.

-The chalet is clean, cute, warm, has everything you need and is in a lovely picturesque, private and quiet area. It's close to Mont Tremblant resort, St-Jovite village and Scandinave spa, but away from everyone else!

- Great location, close to the mountain, yet far enough from the crowds.

- Feels very remote but only minutes drive from Mont-Tremblant and Spa Scandinave.
