19th Century Classic building located in a calm private street and overlooking the Museum of Modern Art, with a view on the Eiffel Tower and river Seine. 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed. 2 bathrooms, one with a shower and sink and one with a bath tub and sink. One additional separate toilet. Equipped kitchen. Living room with 2 large windows overlooking Museum of Modern Art, Eiffel Tower & river Seine.
Phillipe's apartment is located perfectly for sightseeing. We have been to Paris before and agreed that the central location is perfect. The food choices are close as well. You can sit on the couch at night and watch the Tower light show. The building and street are VERY secure (gated street with access codes), two locked doors to enter the building (one coded, one keyed). Its on the 4th floor (fifth for Americans) with a cute small elevator.
The unit has 2 bedrooms (one with 2 twins joined, the other with 2 twins separated), one full bath ensuite, the other has shower and sink ensuite with the toilet room in hall before the bedroom. Both bedrooms have wardrobe closets. A dining table is in the largeroom with the couches. The kitchen was quite large for Paris. A 4 burner stove, oven, full size refrigerator, dishwasher AND clothes washer and dryer! The washer dryer were paramount to keeping our packing light.
Negatives- I believe it's a fair review if there are pros and cons- that being said, I would stay here again for certain. The apartment is 120 meters from Ave de New York so there is some street noise and sirens which we enjoyed being from a city. You can open the gate and you are 250 feet from the princess Di memorial (crash site). There was no AC which wasn't a problem for us.
Well worth the stay and value.
Our family of four (2 adults, 2 teenagers) stayed in this apartment for two weeks July 2015. This is a perfect location; close to transit (the RER takes you to the Louve, Musee D'Orsay in a short time), the best street market is two blocks away (3 days a week) for all your fresh groceries and souvenirs (the vendors were delightful and very helpful with my limited french), running along the Seine is just outside the door. One of the highlights for us was seeing the Bastille Day fireworks exploding off the Eiffel Tower. We had front row seats sitting on the banks of the Seine across the street from the apartment. The beds were very comfortable. Having two bathrooms was a huge plus. There's lots of storage for your suitcases. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The laundry facilities are helpful. Phillipe was always available when needed and very easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone wanting to soak in the Parisienne feeling.
This apartment is a perfect location for those who want to reach many of the popular attractions that Paris offers. It is perfect walking distance to many sites, museums, local eateries, and shopping. We enjoyed several evening walks along the river and to the Eiffel Tower. The evenings we were ready to rest, after a long day of touring, we could still enjoy watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle on the hour right from the living room windows. The apartment was perfect size and met all our needs - it added to the feeling of soaking in the European experience. Phillipe communicated wonderfully and gave us clear directions as to how to reach the apartment. Nicole was very gracious in showing us the apartment and ensuring we understood the codes and how to unlock doors etc... We loved our time in Paris; this perfect little apartment had much to do with how much we enjoyed our time there.
We were very positively surprised how lucky we have been to book this apartment. It's located just steps away not only from Eifel tower that could be seen through the window, but also from many other known attractions including Champs-Elysées and the arch de triumph. There is a metro station just 100 meters from the building so travel around Paris shouldn't be an issue. The apartment is very spacious and our family of 4 felt really comfortable. Everything is nice and clean. The communication with a host was great. We had a fantastic time in Paris and one of the reasons was this wonderful accommodation!
This property is exactly as it is pictured, a beautiful Parisienne apartment with old century charm and modern conveniences. It is roomy and comfortable with plenty of towels, blankets and all the necessities. My husband and I stayed in the apartment for one week and thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. The location is in an upscale neighborhood which is nice to return to after a day of touring. There are many interesting streets to discover with little restaurants and shops nearby. The Eiffel Tower as pictured is actually closer in reality and is glorious to view out the window at night when it sparkles. The River Siene is across the street and has a fascinating nightlife to discover under the walkway. The Bateau Parisienne will take you on a boat ride during the day or a dinner cruise at night (very lovely and romantic) and is just a walk away across the bridge. The Eiffel Tower is within easy walking distance where you can sit in the park and eat a lunch, or catch the hop on hop off buses there to tour the major monuments and attractions of the city. Also, just around the block is the metro line to take you anywhere you want to go. Phillipe, the owner, is a most gracious host who was easy to talk to and always available. I would recommend this apartment to anyone.
This was a wonderful apartment, very spacious, clean and bright. The Eiffel Tower sparkles in the window every night - what could be better? We loved it! It is an older building but there is a tiny lift so you don't have to walk up unless you want to. It was great having two bathrooms even though there were only two of us there, plenty of closet space and good reading light. We never turned on the TV so can't say what the channel choices were. The kitchen, though small, had everything we needed to cook a little breakfast. The location is perfect, close to restaurants (the ones closest to us were closed for the August exodus from the city, but there were others that were open and nice), metro, Seine & Eiffel Tower. We walked most everywhere but did take the metro to Latin Quarter and some areas further out. Our host was responsive and it was easy to book.
