My name is Kathleen Ford and I am the property manager for Serenity Falls Cabin. I recently spoke with a Guest staying at the cabin, and she mentioned that when she arrived at the Cabin, she was very pleasantly surprised by how comfortable, serene and totally private it is. She said she almost did not book it because there were no reviews, but was very happy that she did!
This cabin is new to Vacation renting and the Grand Opening was July 2014. Please stay tuned for future reviews!
Really nice cabin in the woods. Perfect for two. You have neighbors but you don't really know it.
Not ideal if you are bringing a motorcycle though 1.2 miles of gravel road to get to payment. Driveway up to cabin is really gravely and really steep with a really sharp curve in it. Scary with the motorcycle.
We really had a nice quite stay, just what we wanted.
The cabin was very nice - the manager was quick to respond to any issues we had (couldn't find the internet password - but just didn't look in the right place for instance). The cabin is close to everything we wanted to do - the smokies, fishing, bryson city and cherokee. Nice creek for everyone to enjoy as well. The kitchen was stocked with equipment to cook all of our meals and we enjoyed the fire pit very much as well. Great property.
Perfectly serene location. Absolutely loved the rustic cabin with fantastic stonework. The creek was perfect entertainment for the kids and my husband and I loved listening to it while rocking on the front porch. The hot tub definitely enhanced the relaxtion experience and the proximity to the shops in Bryson City make it the perfect getaway location. It is right up the road from the trout farm. We had a great first fishing experience with the kids and enjoyed trout over the campfire with smores for our Memorial Day. Absolutely loved Serenity Falls and hope to book there in the fall to see the leaves change. Can't wait!
The wife and I live in the Asheville area, but wanted to spend the weekend farther West in NC at a cabin with a wood burning fireplace. The trip was very last minute, so I wasn't confident we'd have much luck booking a place. I found the Serenity Falls property, which looked like what we wanted and had the option to book online, but I had some questions. I called Kathleen, got VM, but she called me back in less than 5 minutes. She answered my questions and confirmed the property was available for the weekend. I booked it and got all the information I needed within a couple of hours. When we arrived, the property was easily accessible in our 2WD vehicle and well maintained. The cabin was very clean and matched everything that the listing outlined. I'm a big Black Bear fan, so all the bear decorations made me smile.
I got the fireplace going within 10 minutes of arrival (had to get creative with kindling, since there was a lack of small pieces of wood or newspaper) and kept it going almost the entire time we were at the cabin. Sunday was a beautiful day, we enjoyed the hot tub and listening to the creek rolling down the hill from the tub and the front porch. The kitchen is well equipped, so we did all our cooking/meals at the cabin. Our dogs were very comfortable at the cabin as well. We took them for several walks along Cooper's Creek road almost up to the trout farm. Some neighborhood dogs barked at them and some cows were curious, but no problems.
We had a very enjoyable stay and plan on booking this cabin again in the future. Great place!
My boyfriend and I stayed at Serenity Falls for a week in the middle of September. The cabin was peaceful and secluded, but only 5 miles from Bryson City . It was clean, attractive, and had ample firewood and lots of towels. The washer and dryer were extremely handy. I am not sure you could get up the driveway without a 4 wheel drive vehicle in the winter. Lovely appliances. I would suggest a couple of extra blankets for chilly nights, a fire extinguisher, a working dvd player, and some sugar and powdered creamer since there is a Keurig. I would certainly recommend this property and hope to return next year. In the area, we enjoyed the
Cork and Bean restaurant in Bryson City and also the Natalahala Microbrewery. The owner was quick to respond when my boyfriend had trouble locating the cabin. One other point I would make is that I think the number of the cabin needs to be displayed at the driveway entry. It would be very easy to miss the turn otherwise, especially at night. All in all, a relaxing, enjoyable stay.
This cabin was perfect for my husband and my Labor Day adventure. The road to the cabin follows a beautiful flowing creek and passes a waterfall. The driveway is gravel and steep, but we made it up in a non-4 wheel drive truck hauling a motorcycle. So, any vehicle should be able to make it.
The cabin had ore than enough space for 2 adults. The decor is dated, but we were there for the outdoors, not indoors. And the outdoors were indeed serene! I loved the little creek, both for exploring in the day and listening to through open windows at night. We enjoyed to hot tub and fire pits too! We also had a pleasant walk down the gravel road to the trout pond. It was a pretty property and we'd consider fishing there if we return.
This cabin is convenient to Cherokee, Bryson City, and the Smoky Mountain National Park. We recommend heading toward Bryson City and the park entrance there rather than Cherokee.
We hope to return in winter!
Helpful hint: There is a Kureig, but no coffee Kcups (only tea), so bring your own!
Serenity Falls Cabin is located in a very private setting along side a noisy Creek just below fabulous Water Falls! A few minutes up the road is a stocked Trout Pond, so catching your dinner is minutes away!
