This country road retreat has a master bedroom with a queen size bed, a second large bedroom with 2 queen size beds, two bathrooms, a washer and dryer, eat-in kitchen, dining room, living room with gas fireplace, air conditioning and a fully equipped kitchen. The master bedroom opens to a spacious deck on the back of the house with western exposure. Enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch with eastern exposure. The house is set back on a large country lot with big trees and lots of privacy. A short drive or bicycle ride to the Village of Rhinebeck makes this location convenient to all Rhinebeck has to offer. The house is two miles from the center of Rhinebeck, three miles from the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, seven miles from The Omega Institute, and nine miles from Bard College.
The house provided everything you might need for a week's stay. The house is located only a short drive from Rhinebeck but in a quiet residential neighborhood. The house was very clean. The a/c and fans kept us comfortable during some hot weather. The stall shower is equipped with safety features. The Wi-Fi worked well even out on the front porch where we often sat late in the afternoon. Trish was great to deal with.
Some pointers: The kitchen and dining room lights have dimmers. Highly recommend having GPS for getting around. If you arrive from the Taconic and want to drive down to route 9 from the house you turn left out of the driveway and shortly left again at a completely unmarked intersection which is a continuation of Ackert Hook Road.
The property was exactly as pictured, cozy and quaint, and a nice quiet location. The property is well maintained. Our stay felt very much like being at home. Trish made sure our stay was comfortable and provided local information on entertainment and restaurants. We found our location to be very close to all our activities including a car show at the Duchess County fairgrounds, historical sights, museums, and river cruise. We experienced beautiful sunsets and shared the backyard with deer, and a groundhog sunning himself on the big rock. We highly recommend this property for a very enjoyable stay. We would definitely stay here again.
Clean, neat as advertised. Nice spot and well maintained. Comfortable seating areas both in and out. Would return and also recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in that area. Trish was very accommodating and pleasure to deal with. Gracious and timely with ideas, answering questions and all communication.
I do have a few suggestions.
1) Dine at Calico. Very nice and reasonable. Consistently Excellent. Great Hosts. Need to make reservations as seating is limited. You will be very Happy that you heeded this suggestion.
For the house.
1) A regular drip coffee pot would be nice
2) Matching set wine/drink glasses. Six of each.
3) Latch/Lock on 2nd bathroom door.

This house worked out great for our family who was gathering for a graduation. The house was as advertised - nice size, clean, well-maintained and comfortable.
We especially enjoyed sitting outside on the front porch or back yard. The kitchen was much better equipped than most rentals I've stayed at. We ended up having several meals with friends cooked by one of our daughters and her friend who are both culinary students at Culinary Institute of America.
Trish was easy to connect with. I would definitely stay again if I was in the area and would highly recommend it.
This review is long overdue. The home was perfect for the four of us (my wife and 2 kids). We traveled to Rhinebeck to visit family and this home had everything that we could need and more. The kitchen is well stocked, we even cooked the Thanksgiving turkey along with a few sides and transported them to our family party. The home has a great layout with plenty of room for everyone to do their own thing and not be in each other's space. The Adirondack chairs in the back yard were a great touch and we were lucky enough to take in a couple of sunsets from them.
Trish was extremely quick to respond and made sure our trip went off without a hitch. We have stayed at several vacation rentals on our trips to Rhinebeck and this easily topped them all. Thanks Trish!
Trish is really lovely and her home feels warm, is really clean and has everything you need. We had 3 kids with us and they loved the house and the outside garden. It's close to town.
Rhinebeck is in the heart of the scenic Hudson Valley, home to many historic mansions and grand estates open to the public. The music and theatre at Bard College, home of the American Symphony Orchestra, is world class. Upstate Films in downtown Rhinebeck is a wonderful arts cinema.
