About Leslie Gordon

I have been going to the Rhode Island beaches since I was a kid and also spent a summer in Mystic hanging out on a friends boat. I love this home because it is a great place for gathering with friends and family.

Leslie Gordon purchased this house in 2011

Why Leslie Gordon chose Connecticut Shore

Water access, biking, hiking right outside the door. Great patios with table for 12 on upper patio. Watch the boats go by, listen to sea chanties sung across the river at the Sea Port, and hear the Mystic River Bascule Bridge whistle. Lower patio is a great spot to read and nap on the teak loungers. Updated kitchen appliances including six burner gas range in 2014. Home is spacious, well appointed but comfortable. Watch Hill and its amazing beaches and The Ocean House only 25 minutes. Two world class casinos are 25 minutes away. Many activities in Mystic including day sails, kayaking and fishing charters. Private dock to make Kayaking and paddle boarding to the Mystic River Bridge or even to a new restaurant on the River called Red 36.

What makes this house unique

The view is incredible and the way the house is built into the hill side with a fifty foot rock wall behind it gives the home a feeling of a peaceful fortress. The upper deck is awesome and River Road is full of happy people walking, kayaking, sailing, running and just enjoying life. Private dock.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Our weekend in Mystic was picture perfect...from our initial contact with the owner, to the house and its comfortable, homey feel and exquisite furnishings, to the stunning view of the river...nothing could have been better. The owner is very easy to work with. He is helpful and courteous and very enthusiastic about his property. We felt at home in this beautiful space with the sunrise over the river every morning, tea on the dock, the beautiful walks into town, vineyards close by and dinner and giggles around the table each evening. Thank you for a perfect stay! We will be back!

Perfect Mystic Retreat

  • 5 of 5

This Mystic property is spectacular, from the location to its beautiful house. We have been vacationing in Mystic each summer for more than 30 years and would recommend this property without hesitation. Views of the Seaport from the house and patios are postcard worthy. Watching sailing classes while having morning coffee is ideal. Thanks for providing our family a perfect site to gather.

Girls trip!

  • 5 of 5

A group of us rented Kevin's beautiful home to relax, re connect and rejuvenate! The property and home is even more beautiful than the photos! We loved the home and setting so much we decided each night to stay in to eat and sit around the large coffee table and watch the sunset.. every morning we started outside on the beautiful stone patio. We loved walking into town during the day along the waterfront and how quiet the area is. A delightful trip that we look forward to booking again soon! Kevin was an absolute pleasure to work with.

Relaxing spacious house with wonderful view

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our week at Kevin's beautiful house on the Mystic River. We loved hearing the seamen chanties as they raised the sails on the Charles W Morgan every morning. Both indoor and outdoor furnishings were comfortable and tasteful--we spent many hours at the outdoor table eating, drinking and talking. We had just the kind of family gathering I had hoped for. Highly recommended! Thank you Kevin!

Owner's Response: Molly: I am glad to hear that it lived up to your expectations. You were fortunate to come when you did, as the Morgan just returned to Mystic Seaport. Look forward to seeing you next year. Kevin

Wow. Gorgeous. Home Interior Magazine Worthy!

  • 5 of 5

Home and property are just beautiful. The inside is out of this world. Light with calming river views from the many well placed windows. Lots of open space that just flows. Every room seems perfect for relaxing and enjoyment.Kitchen has everything you need. The deck gets a breeze and wonderful views of the river and town of Mystic, just a 5 minute walk away. It's quiet, with a small grassy space at the bottom of a huge rock for some privacy suntanning or "grounding". Loved the place. It made me think about moving down to the area permanently.

Spectacular!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful relaxing stay in this spectacular home. The house is beautifully decorated and impeccably maintained with an amazing view of the seaport across the river. We enjoyed watching the various boats and water birds as we sipped our coffee in the mornings. A short walk through a historic neighborhood brings you into Mystic with many great restaurants and shops. Kevin was very helpful with any questions we had and suggestions with things to do. This is home is an incredible value and we will definately be returning!

Walking distance to downtown Mystic which is full of local restaurants and bars, ice cream shops, antique stores, and more. You will hear cannons being fired at the seaport, the steam whistle from the Mystic River Bridge and can see the action going on at the Sea Port, with occasional fife and drum corps that you can hear from the house. River Road is a sleepy street that is heavily traveled by walker, bikers and joggers and very few cars. Short ride to the Mystic Aquarium. Don't miss the Ocean House for lunch, dinner or just cocktails. The Ocean House is in Beautiful Watch Hill Rhode Island which is worth touring for its natural beauty, unbelievable pristine beaches and historic mansions. The Ocean House is located high on a bluff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Taylor Swift's 25 million dollar mansion is a few houses away. Foxwoods Resort Casino and Mohegan Sun Casino are approximately 25 minutes away with dozens of world class restaurants, entertainment and gaming. There are excellent Vineyards nearby too. Jonathan Edwards Vineyard in North Stonington, Stonington Vineyards and Saltwater Farm Vineyard are all very close. Don't miss the Historic Ship Nautilus and Submarine Force Museum and the Mashantucket Pequot Museum, both within 25 minutes.
