Clarks Hill Lake is the southeast's largest and most popular public recreational lake. The lake is large, deep, clear and is considered Georgia’s Fresh Water Coast. Clarks Hill Lake is 120 miles long, encompasses 71,100 acres of water and has 1,200 miles of shoreline. The state record for largest striped bass was caught at Clarks Hill Lake and weighed in at 55 pounds and 12 ounces. Many of the national fishing tournaments like the Oakley Big Bass Tournament take place just 4 miles up the road at Wildwood Park. In the heat of the summer, swimming, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, and rafting can cool off the body and lift the spirits. This property’s deep water dock offers the perfect perch from which to cast a fishing pole or cast off in an inner tube. Enjoy all four seasons: this lakeside property is the perfect cure to the winter blahs. Use it to melt the stresses of everyday life or as an adventure playground. Or do both!
Simply excellent service all around, very clean, great place, highly recommend.
We stayed here April 4 - 11. The house was very, very nice. Very roomy. Comfortable furnishings throughout. Very comfortable beds. The property is in a wooded area, edging on the lake... very quite and relaxing. All amenities provided as in the listing. We found nothing lacking. The house and property were very clean and well-maintained. The property agents/managers (Nanie, Lora, and Jessica) were very friendly and professional... responded to all our questions and requests very promptly... 5-Star service! Most restaurants, grocery stores, and other services, were a bit of a drive away (20 minutes) but, after picking up groceries and other supplies on the way back from watching golf, we spent most of our time at the house, enjoying our home-cooked meals in this beautiful setting... many relaxing times on the deck, with a drink and BBQ. We all really enjoyed it and would recommend this to friends and relatives.

When we travel we always check for a home rental close to our destination. Our trip to Augusta was to see our son graduate from AIT training at Fort Gordon. The drive was a quick 30 minutes from the base. If you are looking for somewhere to sit back and unwind, this is it. We have rented houses now for over 15 years and this one is at the top of our list for rentals. Nanie and Lora were absolutely awesome to work with. There was not one thing wrong with this rental. It had virtually everything we needed and Lora was so kind to make sure to see if there was anything else she could get us. She even dropped a paper off at the door each day for us during our stay. How great is that!! It was great to have our son stay with us for 2 nights to get him away from the base and enjoy a home away from home. The price we paid for this rental was the same as we would of paid for a hotel room at the some of the higher end hotels. Why have just one room, when you can have a full house! If you have a soldier graduating and are looking for somewhere to stay for a few days, this is a super option. Thanks again Nanie and Lora for everything. We are hoping to book the same house over Thanksgiving so our son can enjoy Thanksgiving at his home away from home! He loved this house!!!!
Beautiful home, great and very helpful property managers from the booking to the last day. Our family really enjoyed the home, the deck, the lake. My son loved the fishing and watching the deer in the back yard. The home is very well equipped right down to the fishing poles ready to go in the garage. Beautifully furnished, very quite and easy to relax. We hope to return. Thanks to everyone!
Beautiful, loved the home and dock. The house had everything, even a birthday cake waiting for me. Loved the location, very quiet. Would I return, yes, in a heartbeat!! Lora was wonderful to work with as well as Nanie. You can trust them. We ate all our meals outside and enjoyed the beauty. Watched bald eagles while we ate. Absolutely wonderful weekend.
This house was an answer to our prayers! We're locals but our home was undergoing repairs due to water damage. For the first week our family of five stayed in a two bedroom cottage because I thought it would be "quaint". Cabin fever is an understatement. Upon finding out we had to stay out of our home for an additional week we were all at our breaking point. Finding this house and moving in for the last week of our dislocation was such a relief!
The house is beautifully appointed yet comfortable, the kids loved it, we felt right at home and it had all the amenities we needed. I love to cook so having a well-equipped kitchen was a huge plus as well!
We were on pins and needles waiting to move back into our own house, but being there was such a breath of fresh air that we almost didn't want to leave! The darts and foozball table in the garage kept the kids entertained and they really enjoyed fishing from the dock out back. It made beig away from home so much less stressful and we were incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to stay there. We're even thinking about renting it with family for a little summer get away! We only live 15 minutes down the road but it genuinely felt like a home away from home. Great stay and wonderful memories. Thank you!
This home sits approximately 20 minutes from Augusta National Golf Course - home of The Masters Golf Tournament and from the quaint and historical downtown Augusta. There are local stables where you can go horseback riding. There are off road ATV parks nearby. The Savannah River provided plenty of outdoor entertainment with hiking, canoeing or biking.
