About George and Laurie

Laurie is proud to be involved in local town politics and works to ensure the rental properties are Legal and approved by the town. Laurie sits on the Accommodations and Tax Committee for the Town of Mount Pleasant to dispense tax funds. She is also proud to have been chosen to be involved actively with HomeAway/ VRBO on the Owner's Advisory Council. In February of 2017, Laurie won a National Contest based upon Marketing the Rental by showcasing improvements in Rental Properties. Laurie is a part time travel specialist for international all inclusive resorts, and European River Cruises. Laurie brings professional hospitality flair into the rental properties.

Laurie happily lives in a waterfront property with her husband, George. About George: After a high powered corporate career, and then owning a successful retail chain, George now is thrilled to welcome guests to our Charleston rentals. George ensures that your visit is comfortable and smooth. He oversees the maintenance and improvements of the houses, and keeps the grounds manicured. George takes pride in seeing that your rental meets, or exceeds, your expectations. You will find George out on his boat in the waterways of the neighborhood, or walking our Pomeranian dog, Gus. We love Charleston and have lived here nearly 25 years. As the town grew, we chose to be close to downtown, and settled in this unique and changing neighborhood of Remleys Point. We feel grateful to have more than one house to share for others who wish to visit the great LowCountry area, or are here with family or friends.

We love this large one level house with lots of bathrooms and close to downtown and the beaches. We have lived in this neighborhood ourselves for over 15 years! ...and when the opportunity came available to own a 2nd home also....we were thrilled. We have enjoyed improving the property, and decorating and landscaping it, and offering it now as a family style rental.

What makes this house unique

This eclectic and interesting neighborhood and its waterfront docks, plus the closeness to Historic downtown Charleston and the Beach, makes this a perfect base for visitors. For any groups in town for a wedding, or an event, or just a vacation .....this is a great spot. The in ground saline pool is a wonderful addition for summer visitors.

Owner's Response: We are very pleased that your large group of women chose this house, and enjoyed it. The one level floor plan, with 4 bathrooms and extra sleep space is very guest friendly. The house is unusual because it is large and long inside,.....yet appears as though a small cottage from the outside. Thank you again and also for being great guests!

This house is even more beautiful in person than the pictures represent. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, the bedrooms are all very comfortable and the backyard is amazing! I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking in the Charleston area. Until next year...

Amazingly relaxing and peaceful!

Laurie and George were so kind as to let us bring our dogs to their rental property. It was such an amazing experience and charleston is so dog friendly there was not one day we didn't all come back exhausted. To come home to such a welcoming place was incredible. The only downside is that the house is booked so far in advance that we happened to get lucky and got in with short notice. This place is well worth working into your plans and we would love to stay again! George was very accessable to help if we needed anything.

Beautiful Home with every amenity!

My daughter held her wedding in Mount Pleasant on Saturday at a resort. I wasn't interested in the rooms there. I rented this home for a few family members and the bridesmaids. We were thrilled to find this beautiful home to be as lovely as described. Every amenity was available. Located close to shopping, restaurants in Shem Creek. My daughters used Uber and the water taxi to get into downtown Charleston. My parents who are in their 80's loved the flow of one level living spaces. Everyone enjoyed their stay. Quiet neighborhood, nice walk to the water, docks. I highly recommend George and Laurie. They were attentive and responsive and made our destination wedding memorable for all the right reasons!
