My family has lived in Vermont for 8 generations and a relative visited this house 30 years ago when it was a B&B. I looked for a Vermont house for a few years and was fortunate to find this 18th century gem. The house has an interesting history and lots of character. The grounds are lovely and I love the view of Mt. Equinox. I hope you enjoy my home as much as I do.
Great view of Mt. Equinox
Exposed antique wood beams
House has great flow with neat taproom
Private, wooded backyard with large barn
Close to Manchester, Arlington and skiing
We booked this house for us to spend Christmas with our children and grandchildren. We ranged in age from 1-1/2 to 62 years old. A wonderful, cozy house with plenty of room for all 11 of us with 2 dogs. Even the dogs had a blast playing outside in the snow! We had both fireplaces going constantly with wood that I preordered from Equinox Nursery. Paul was very responsive to all questions, and a neighbor quickly took care of the driveway when it got icy. All in all, a great visit and beautiful part of the country!
Had a great time with a big group including 4 toddlers. The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful.
Nice sized gathering spaces
Great internet connection
Easily accessible in snow
We had booked the 1780 farm house for our daughters wedding at the Equinox. The owner, Paul provided us with detailed instructions for the house which came in very handy. Paul always responded to emails very quickly and was very flexible with check in and check out hours. The house and property are absolutely gorgeous. We had 10 people staying at the house and there was more then enough room. It is located about 5 miles from Manchester. You can park in town and visit all the wonderful shops and outlet stores. I would highly recommend staying at the farmhouse as it served all our needs beyond our expectations. Sitting on the front porch having a cup of coffee in the am and a cocktail in the evening was beyond relaxing. We would no doubt rent this property again................Thanks Ed & Karyn
We had a amazing time staying at this property. Everything was just as pictures displayed. But I think it was better than the pictures. We were a party of 10, going to a wedding at equinox, and were thrilled with our house. All of the wedding party stopping over, we re amazed and loved how the house laid out. Would recommend to anyone who wants a very clean, nice bedding, updated bathrooms, good kitchen, laundry, and a fun environment.
Just booked our third visit to this wonderful house; this has become the favorite spot for our five families fall reunion in New England, with people coming from Boston, New York, New Jersey, and Canada.
Perfect spot - the fall is gorgeous; near the city of Manchester you can find anything from hiking trails and Bromley Mountain Adventure park for kids (and adults) to great restaurants and shopping in Manchester, including famous Orvis fly fishing center.
Then house itself is spacious and perfect for large groups with its seven bedrooms and three large gathering rooms; house was warm and clean every time we stayed; large kitchen accommodates several people cooking at the same time.
Needed a central location for a family reunion with siblings spread all over New England. The home was just right to accommodate our various needs. Lots of rustic charm, plenty of space, and a very responsive host. Downstairs bedroom was great for parents challenged by stairs. Lots of common spaces, but we still could not seem to get people out of the kitchen. If you are in search of shiny new, ultra modern, you should probably keep looking. This place is warm and inviting, but there is no denying the home's age, and the associated quirks. For our family this was part of the charm. Thanks for a wonderful week.
