This quaint little bungalow is perfect for a get-away, family vacation, or retreat. Conveniently located to a treasure load of local attractions and majestic views.
The bungalow itself is located just one walking block from Lake Tomahawk which features a walking path all around the lake where you can visit ducks and geese, enjoy the scenic views along the path or bring a blanket and a picnic and sit on the lawn for the Lake Tomahawk summer series Thursday night concerts.
If relaxation and rest is your objective, settle into our comfy deck chairs with a good book and a tall glass of ice tea or a cold drink and let the rest of your crew walk across the street and play tennis. You have a great view of the courts from the deck so you can relax and still monitor their play safely.
Downtown Black Mountain offers many quaint shops for purchasing clothing, kitchen knick-knacks, antiques, specialty items, children toys and more. There are many restaurants to choose from including wood-fired pizza and fresh pasta, Thai, sushi, authentic Mexican, local delis and a chocolate shop. The surrounding areas boast hiking, walking/running and mountain bike trails. Check out Montreat College's campus for easy to difficult climbs including the Lookout Trail which boasts a 360 degree view of the Swannanoa Valley.

As advertised. Which is important to me. Great location, short distance from anything one my want to do, or see in the mountains. Exceeded all expectations! Great food, walking, scenery, history, and shopping. All within a short walk, or drive. Clean with all you could want or need. For me, it felt like home away from home. Patty and Randle are great host's, respected our privacy, but were there if I had any questions, or asked for any suggestions. I will definitely be back, and looking forward to it!
My elderly dad and I met here for a mountain getaway. The place was perfect! It had everything we needed and plenty of space. We really enjoyed sitting out on the spacious deck. Patty and Randy were such nice people. Can't wait to go back!
The house was clean and neat and comfortable with all the amenities. Patty and Randy were very helpful in suggesting local restaurants and attractions. Patty also invited us down to the lake for the summer concert series. The band was excellent. We also enjoyed chatting with them and loved seeing the different crafts Patty is doing. We will definitely be back for a visit and stay here.

We loved this place! 2 Adults and one teenager... We had a friend close by and town is close by so the location was great! I walked down to Lake Tomahawk every morning to walk and pet dogs :). The cottage itself is cute as a speckled pup! Very clean, light and airy... Homey decor... It felt like we just lived there. I talked with Patty and Randall during my visit and they were such gracious hosts. I hope to visit with my husband on another trip and stay here again!
My wife, daughter, and son all enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The cottage was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The owners were kind and hospitable - making sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Lake Tomahawk was very close by and we enjoyed the beautiful scenic views the walk around the lake offered. And the kids enjoyed some playtime at the playground at the lake. The cottage location was peaceful and was close to activities we had planned in the Asheville area.
Thanks for the enjoyable stay!
This was my second visit to this charming cottage and it did not disappoint! The cottage is located just steps from Lake Tomahawk and super close to downtown Black Mountain. The owners are so welcoming and helpful and they make you feel completely at home.
It is a cottage that is great for romantic couples vacation, girls getaway, or for even elderly folks that want a place that they can manage or maneuver around easily. I will be back!
