The Isle of Palms, like all barrier islands, has a dynamic beach near the inlet that separates the island from Dewees Island. The ebb and flow of the changing tides, through the inlet, creates and moves sand bars just off shore. These sandbars will channel waves between them, resulting in the massive buildup of sand along portions of the island where other areas may develop temporary erosional hot spots. These hot spots will feature a sand beach throughout the day outside an hour or so before and after high tide. Where a dry sand beach may be limited in these few areas at high tide, walking either direction will lead to an area where the sandbars have created an expansive beach to enjoy at any tide.

We have stayed at the villages numerous times but never rented through beachside rip and tea. Probably would not read through them again.
We loved the property. The villages are a WONDERFUL place to stay. Condo met all of our needs and had such a close proximity to all our favorite amenities of Wild Dunes Resort. Would stay again in a heart beat!
Excellent place to stay, very modern, nice location, easy walk to the beach and pool. The Villages, where this unit is located, is very upscale, nice and clean. Lots of beautiful picture spots on this property.
We stayed in 304B for a week to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. It is the perfect size for two people and the unit was taken care of very well. The decor was beautiful and the balcony overlooks the main breezeway in The Villages. The kitchen was well-equipped and we were able to make several meals during our stay without any shortage of utensils or cookware. It was a nice distance to walk to the pools and beach and it felt very safe even late at night. We definitely plan to return here! Thank you for a hassle-free and relaxing vacation!
We have been visiting Charleston for the past five years and with our second child starting the College of Charleston we will continue. We typically stay in the city this year we wanted more of a resort community with pool, beach, golf etc... Wild Dunes has it all and it is only an easy 30 minute drive away. But with options in nearby Mount Pleasant and Sullivans Island we spent as many evenings in the city as we did out. The condo was in awesome condition with modern amenities.
This unit was lovely and convenient to the beach and had many nighttime amenities for children. We also had a wonderful time biking all around the island from this central location.
