The Grand Pavilion is a long boardwalk that starts just across from the Village and stretches down to the Ocean. In addition to swimming pools, the Grand Pavilion features a gift shop, ice cream parlor, Duney’s Café and a beach bar. “A Place-N-The-Sun”, will provide you the ultimate in accommodations while you enjoy golf, Charleston or the beach.

The Isle of Palms, like all barrier islands, has a dynamic beach near the inlet that separates the island from Dewees Island. The ebb and flow of the changing tides, through the inlet, creates and moves sand bars just off shore. These sandbars will channel waves between them, resulting in the massive buildup of sand along portions of the island where other areas may develop temporary erosional hot spots. These hot spots will feature a sand beach throughout the day outside an hour or so before and after high tide. Where a dry sand beach may be limited in these few areas at high tide, walking either direction will lead to an area where the sandbars have created an expansive beach to enjoy at any tide.

Great Location and not Overcrowded

  • 3 of 5

We stayed for 7 days and had a blast. The walk to the beach was minimal and lots of things to do.

Only reason for 3 stars is unclear policy for the pools. If your not an owner you have to wait til 3pm to use any pool.

This rule was not explained completely to us at check in. It also was not enforced until day 6 of our trip.

A very snobby blonde working the pool would not let us enter and said we were "more than welcome, to use the Beach".

6 days and multiple trips, 7-8 attendance and this is the only one who knows the rules.

I may not come back to unclear/dumb pool rules.

Tv in living room did not work. Clock radio in bedroom did not work. No cleaning service daily

We have stayed at the villages numerous times but never rented through beachside rip and tea. Probably would not read through them again.

We loved the property. The villages are a WONDERFUL place to stay. Condo met all of our needs and had such a close proximity to all our favorite amenities of Wild Dunes Resort. Would stay again in a heart beat!

Wonderful Stay in 304B!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in 304B for a week to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. It is the perfect size for two people and the unit was taken care of very well. The decor was beautiful and the balcony overlooks the main breezeway in The Villages. The kitchen was well-equipped and we were able to make several meals during our stay without any shortage of utensils or cookware. It was a nice distance to walk to the pools and beach and it felt very safe even late at night. We definitely plan to return here! Thank you for a hassle-free and relaxing vacation!

One of the best vacations we have ever had. Great resort, great service, great time.

  • 5 of 5

We have been visiting Charleston for the past five years and with our second child starting the College of Charleston we will continue. We typically stay in the city this year we wanted more of a resort community with pool, beach, golf etc... Wild Dunes has it all and it is only an easy 30 minute drive away. But with options in nearby Mount Pleasant and Sullivans Island we spent as many evenings in the city as we did out. The condo was in awesome condition with modern amenities.
