I have just added new photos that show the fresh new paint, new kitchen table and chairs, new LED, cool, bright and clear lighting in the Kitchen, both bathrooms, new curtains in both bedrooms and living room, new Porch style swing on the back patio and new 40" TV in the master bedroom just to name a few.

This is the Vintage Floor plan with 1,177 Square Feet, 2 Master Bedrooms, I completely gutted and remodeled it from end to end.

The Palm Desert Resort Country Club sits on 150 beautifully landscaped acres with an 18 hole, Championship Golf Course. The property is spaciously laid out with lots of beautiful mature trees, Ponds, waterfalls, desert landscape, Rocks, and gorgeous lighting at night showcasing the property in a different There is a 24 hour Security gate staffed by 2 guards and a constant Security there is no nitpicking and the guards and staff are very nice and pleasant. There are 21 seperate pool and jacuzzi area's that you can visit, the pools and jacuzzi's are large by todays standards and have shaded area's, a clock, and lounge chairs, tables and chairs at each pool. There is a spacious Clubhouse with a Bar, Restaurant, lounge area with 2 widescreen TV's, and huge outdoor back patio that has numerous tables and chairs on a covered patio along with a large gas firepit that overlooks 2 beautiful ponds that have a is framed by lots of open green space, towering Palm Trees, and a 180 degree view of the huge San Jacinto Mountains in the background. Private Streets with golf cart lanes allow for fun golf cart rides, (including on the golf course, lots of fun!, at the clubhouse you can rent Golf Carts by the day), easy bike riding and walking/jogging.

All units are single story and duplex complex didn't 'build out all the way' and has a lot more open space than built in 1981 it has a much more open feel than crammed, newer Country allows for more 'Sky View', Sunshine, Star Gazing, and overall quality of life.

I wanted a unit that was close to a swimming pool and had a good view of the mountains......I also wanted the patio to face the North and that's exactly what this unit ideal in the sense that its 40 steps to the pool which makes it one of the closest units to a pool in the Country Club but not too close for noise purposes. Its a straight shot from all 3 sets of sliding glass doors.......8 foot sliders in both bedrooms and the living room that share the patio in the back that spans the entire length of the this unit and floorplan the most popular floorplan in the Country Club. All in all the property is just gorgeous, you feel extremely safe, I call it 'The Park', it feels like a small town in a fairy tale and has a feel of the 70's to I don't recommend it I have left my laptop on the kitchen counter with all the lights on, sliding glass door in the living room wide open, not just unlocked, front door unlocked, and been out on the golf cart with friends enjoying the beauty of the night for hours and have had no problems........I don't do this on key weekends when there are a lot of out of towners from LA around and I don't recommend it but I am being what its worth. :)

The unit I bought it, it was in the 1980's......I had it completely remodeled from end to is the main list of changes.......New Tile in the Kitchen and Living Room, New Carpet in both Bedrooms, Ceilings had the popcorn scraped off, refinished all ceilings and walls in the entire unit, added 3 ceiling fans, 1 in each bedroom and one in the living room, knocked out a wall in the kitchen and opened it up, put in new granite counter tops in both bathrooms and the kitchen, ran the granite up the wall to the bottom of new cabinets, new sink, and faucets in kitchen, both bathrooms, new vanity's in both bathrooms as well as new mirrors, lighting, toilets, new appliances all the way around, new door frames, doors, quality top of the line mattress's (very important to me) from Costco, all new towels and linens from Costco, new quality furniture from Costco, this unit is a second home unit more than it is a 'Rental' was skimped or skipped. The laundry room was re-arranged and a stackable washer and dryer was added along with a stainless steel bakers rack from Costco for storage. New silverware, pots,pans, dishes, everything. The Bedrooms are large, spacious, and have lots of closet space. The last thing I can think of is I recently added a screen door to the front door so you can leave the front door open and enjoy the sunshine of the morning hours without worrying about children or pets getting outside.

The outdoor patio is spacious and has a great view of the night its beautiful looking at the landscaping lights light up the trees from underneath as well as the median that is land and light scaped looking towards the views at night are as pretty as they are during the day.

There is a new gas grill, glass table top patio table, lots of chairs a rocker/glider, a wood fire pit, and two patio, gas firepots that put off an olympic style torch flame to look and feel great at night.

I used to go through a local Vacation Property Management Company and have priced my unit at 10% less than they used to charge while providing an upgraded and modernized unit in a prime location. If you are looking for a spacious, modern, comfortable single story condo in a beautiful park like setting (I need at add more pictures of that), in a safe, laid back atmosphere with lots to see and do then this is won't be sorry. Why Dana chose California Desert

I love the big, Mature Trees and landscaping, the fact that the units are very spacious, great floorplan, duplex style, single story, 150 acres to walk, bike ride, lots of golf cart paths to ride on, private streets for walking/biking/golf carting, 24 Hour Security Guards, Gated, Patrolled, Large Swimming Pool, Close to Swimming Pool, Tennis Courts, Close to Shopping, Grocery Stores, Gas Stations, Post Office, Freeway, Airport, all that Palm Springs and Southern California has to offer, just a beautiful property that has a lot of open space, Excellent landscaping with plants, flowers, rock, excellent lightscaping at night, just beautiful.

Notes:
New Ceiling fans with lighting were added to both bedrooms and the living room........Unique Paintings and a few Antiques compliment the unit.........a screen front door was recently added to keep pets from wandering outside and to allow the North Facing unit some sunshine and ambient light coming in from the South, especially during Winter Months. There are two Propane fueled Fire Pots on the back patio that put out a lot of heat and put off an Olympic Torch type flame........flame is adjustable, very cool and beautiful to look at. Lightscaping........one of my favorite things is to sit on the patio at night and watch the transition from day to night as the lights come on illuminating trees and desert plants from the ground up creating a completely different look..........lights are used a lot in the desert as its so dry and clear and they make for a beautiful lightscape you will not see anywhere else.

Great paradise stay

We stayed at Dana's condo for 2 months and had a great time. She was a gracious host. She even let us arrive a day early! This is a great location with all the amenities of home!

Comfortable stay

The condo met our needs. The beds are comfortable, location by the pool is a plus, and the kitchen is well equipped with needed tools. Good central location in Palm Desert, close to everything. Property owner is friendly and responsive with questions and needs.

Desert Trip Stay

We rented and stayed at this property during the second weekend of Desert Trip. I'll echo many of the things written by Lloyd who looks like he stayed there during the first weekend of Desert Trip. We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. The information we received prior to arrival and the arrival itself was very smooth. The condo itself was clean and everything was in good working order. Proximity to the pool and hot tub was a huge plus. Having breakfast out on the patio each morning with a view of the mountains was great.

Perfect place to stay in Palm Desert

We had a great stay in Dana's condo during Desert Trip. Everything was in good order and was comfortable for myself and brother. Really enjoyed the hot tub and pool and the cono's amenities made for an excellent getaway. Special thanks to Dana for being a great host. We had a wonderful time and would not hesitate staying there again.

Just what we wanted

We had a wonderful, restful time at the Palm Desert condo. Your instructions were clear. The description and pictures on the website were accurate. Everything we needed was there. The grounds were lovely and the pool was indeed steps away. The 2 bedrooms being on opposite sides of the living space was perfect for the 3 of us and it was really nice how each bedroom and the living room had access to the patio. It didn't feel like a hotel, but like staying in someone's home. Thank you, Dana!

Not renting again

We just stayed at this condo over Memorial Weekend and I can assure you that the pictures on VRBO website do not reflect the actual condition of the condo. Both TV's didn't work and while the owner was responsive to my calls he was unable to get this resolved. I don't know what furniture was used in the photos because the inside of the condo is shabby. Extra mismatched furniture everywhere, carpets were stained in both bedrooms, and cheap curtain panels on both sliding glass doors. Obviously his place was staged when the pictures were taken. We ended leaving the condo for most of the day (family stayed at a very nice condo a few streets over) and the night (wanted to watch Sharks and Warrior play). I would not rent this place again. Overall too shabby for my taste.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately both TV's were not working during the time frame of this visit all thanks to the horrible meltdown with the hand off of Verizon to Frontier Communications. If you google it Frontier bought the book of business from Verizon for the states of Florida, Texas and California......since then its been nothing short of a Corporate Disaster.......I did all I could to get the TV service working again but Frontier was not responsive and as of the writing of this response I still have no TV Service. The Palm Desert Resorter HOA has a deal with Verizon, now Frontier, to provide Mid level service to the entire community, this is rolled into our HOA fee's........when I called the HOA Office to inquire how to get this resolved as Frontier was not taking action or responding they informed me they had to open a "ticket" with our account Rep........one week later nothing......this is very unfortunate but an issue completely out of my control and I did my best to resolve it........If Frontier continues to provide this type of service I will have no choice but to switch to Time Warner and essentially pay double to insure I have dependable TV service. I had several tenants rent that chose not to place reviews leading up to this with no complaints about carpet stains.......as far as the Furniture goes, I have made numerous improvements over the years including replacing the vertical blinds with what everyone else thinks are beautiful curtains......I also have beautiful furniture most of which came from Costco, top quality, along with the sheets, linens, and even Costco's great cookware........all lighting has been switched to LED, the unit was recently painted including all doors, bathrooms, trim, no one else has said anything about these issues before. They chose to leave out the fact that upon check in they left the key on the kitchen counter and on a Friday afternoon leading into the Memorial Day weekend I had to ask my caretaker who is local in case of emergencies (I also have a handyman on call as well) to go over and let them back in.......while I answered, responded to all calls regarding the TV issue I would call and text to find out if Frontier had done anything, made progress only to get no response, then 24 hours later questions that made no sense........it was apparent at that time a review like this would probably also be in the works.
