Just amazing - worth every penny
It's hard to overstate what a wonderful property this is. The property is beautiful, the views are stunning, and it's so peaceful and relaxing. My kids couldn't have enjoyed the pool more, and I'll always have such fond memories of reading poolside, listening to the wind chimes and the laughter of my family playing in it. I will stay here again whenever possible, and have recommended the listing to several co-workers and friends. A true gem.
Wow!! It means the world to us to hear that our guests are happy. Your enthusiasm and appreciation is so great to know. We look forward to welcoming you back.
We had an amazing time in San Diego and this incredibly beautiful casita couldn’t have been any better. Our family had such a great time in the pool and playing tennis. Thank you SO very much and we can’t wait to return!!
Quiet, peaceful, relaxing
Great for a family of four with two teens. We were able to play tennis at any time of day and use the court as long as we wanted, jump in the spa at any time too. Plenty of places to eat nearby and enough of a kitchen to cook meals ourselves. Beautiful setting immaculately maintained.
Exotic tropical and nicely maintained property!
This Casita is amazing! The amenities are well maintained, we loved our mid morning tennis workout, followed by pool and jacuzzi, and some quiet time for reading and kids homework in the rose garden. The beds are comfortable and Ines takes care of the Casita very well. What we liked most is staying at a Casita like this vs. La Costa resort or other San Diego resorts is that you get to cook out pool side while kids enjoy pool and you don't have to reserve tennis courts, or make reservations and have your schedule dictated to you. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to experience San Diego as a family on your terms and time table and not the resort's! We will definitely be putting this on our short list of destinations to return to!
The house is perfect, the pool is perfect. Overall great experience.
This casita was the perfect place for our girlfriends getaway to celebrate a birthday!
Couldn't have discovered a better place to relax than in this small, comfy, and very private bungalow. Great view from all rooms to the patio outside overlooking our pool, spa, and hillsides beyond. The overall property is large as advertised and extremely quiet. No one else was there except for a daily appearance of very friendly and accommodating housekeeper, Ines, whom we saw only because we rarely left the property for any length of time! Why go anywhere else?
We did pack in some groceries and a birthday cake that needed refrigeration and found the two refrigerators to be small ones like those found in hotel rooms. We made do though. I mention only as an FYI for planning purposes. If I had thought about the cake beforehand, I would have asked the owner, Ellen about fridge space. I asked her other questions and received quick responses.
No hesitation in highly recommending this lovely spot!
The Neighborhood The community of Rancho Santa Fe was first established in 1928, and is commonly referred to as the "Covenant" by local residents. But the name "Covenant" actually came about because of how the community was created. At that time, a group of property owners entered into a mutual agreement to preserve and maintain the character of the community and its rare landscape features, and to uphold the quality of future architecture. This mutual agreement came to be known simply as the Covenant and now refers not only to the principal governing document, but also to the community itself. Today, the Covenant of Rancho Santa Fe encompasses approximately ten square miles or approximately 6,730 acres, and is home to around 5,000 residents. Near the center of the Covenant area is the Village of Rancho Santa Fe, with shops, restaurants, other commercial businesses and the historic Rancho Santa Fe Inn. The Rancho Santa Fe School District's new campus is located adjacent to the Village. The Roger Rowe School was specifically built for grades K-6th and middle school aged children. The Roger Rowe campus is state of the art, and includes a performing arts center, dedicated classroom labs, and a computer for every child. In the heart of the Covenant and to the north of the Village is the renowned Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club. The Rancho Santa Fe Golf Course is a Max Behr designed 6,940 yard par 72 course and is open only to Covenant members and their guests. In the late 1930s, the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club served as the original site for “clambakes” hosted by Bing Crosby, one the early residents of the Covenant. Surrounding the golf course and the Village, the majority of the Covenant is comprised of rolling topography with low density, large lot residential development where the average lot size is over two acres. A private equestrian and hiking trail network runs throughout the community. The private, secure, rural character of the community, combined with its proximity to the ocean and nearby access to world class medical facilities and cultural venues are what set the Covenant apart as being a highly desirable place to live.
