Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 1 Baths, (Sleeps 6-10)

Our Owner is a Maine Outdoors Enthusiast Professional of 30+ Years. He takes a personal interest in every guest who rents the property to ensure that they get to experience Maine as it should be... We make every accommodation necessary to make sure you will come back again and again!

Imagine your own secluded hideaway located in the heart of more than 400 acres of undeveloped forests, ponds and streams, yet still within an hour's drive of all the best that Maine and New Hampshire have to offer... Hike, bike, swim, fish, enjoy the coastal beaches, local seafood, pick some strawberries or blueberries and so much more!

Conveniently located only 2.5 hrs outside of Boston and just over 6.0 hrs from NYC, this hidden gem offers a peaceful and serene experience with plenty of opportunity to take in the natural beauty that will surround you. Enjoy the rustic atmosphere in this beautiful log facility made from lumber harvested from the property without sacrificing all of the comforts that you need. Take advantage of boating, canoeing or fishing in one of the many ponds, lakes, rivers and streams, go for a hike on the Appalachian Trail or on just one of the closer and less traveled mountains, take a short drive to Mt Washington or to one of Maine's many coastal beaches and seafood eateries.

From the first hint of spring through the lazy days of summer, Maine is an outdoor wonderland. You can explore the coast, mountains, woods, rivers and lakes by kayak, bike or boat. Enjoy culinary treats that can only be found locally like blueberries and strawberries to Maine's clams, shrimp and lobster. Get to know the locals at a summer festival. With 17 million acres of Maine forest, and 400 acres at your fingertips, you are sure to experience all the outdoors has to offer.

It is JUST YOU AND NATURE! This wood cabin is located down a remote dirt road (approximately 1 mile from the main road) and is the only rental unit on the entire property, so you can be rest assured of a safe and quiet one-of-a-kind experience. The main building boasts an open kitchen and living area with commercial gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, cookware, utensils, full bath, heat and electricity. There is also a utility room that is equipped with a washer and dryer. A recreation building is available equipped with ping pong, professional pool table, air hockey, foosball table, darts and archery in case of a rainy day or slow evening. There is also a horseshoe pit set up adjacent to the picnic area. There is a queen bed in the main bedroom, a full-sized bed in the second room and 2 sets of bunks in the room off the kitchen. For parties of 10 or more (or those just seeking additional space), there is an adjacent bunkhouse house that can sleep eight (4-bunks) and is complete with its own fully functional bath (additional fees apply).

Enjoy on-site access to all non-motorized water sports equipment (paddle boats, canoes, kayaks, row boats, etc.), picnic and camp-fire areas, or outdoor recreational sports activities such as volleyball or horseshoes.

We have Registered Maine Guides on-site available to provide Day Hikes, Canoeing, Kayaking or Fishing Day Trips, as well as Nature Tours and Outdoor Survival Skills Training Classes (for an additional fee). We request that these requests be made in advance so that we can make sure there is a guide available to take you during your stay.

Very unique Vacation rental

  • 4 of 5

Rented this property for my family to attend my sons wedding in the area. We rented the bunk house along with the main house. It also has a detached building with pool table, ping pong and foosball. The property is rustic but clean and well equipped. There main house can sleep 10 in beds and has one bathroom. The bunkhouse sleeps 8 in beds and has one bathroom. The owner Ron is very attentive and was always working on the property nearby. I gave it 4 stars only because of the road into the home. It is about a mile long rough, bumpy, rocky road. My niece actually left her Misubishi Eclipse out at the end fearing it would bottom out. All and all a great weekend.

Local Family Wedding

  • 5 of 5

Our daughter's wedding in Parsonsfield led us to our four-night stay at Ron's lodge. Sunrises, with morning mist rising up through the meadow into the hills beyond, made for memorable photos. The accommodations were perfect for our family, which included three generations and an active toddler. The spacious kitchen/dining area easily allowed us to invite extended family and friends to a morning-after-wedding brunch. We were able to prepare and serve 24 people with room to spare. The outdoor area, nearby stream, and game room was a huge hit with our guests, and Ron's lessons in hatchet-throwing and archery were really enjoyed. Ron is a remarkable coach -- just ask the ladies who experienced instant success throwing those hatchets. We especially appreciated his kind attention to our 6 year old granddaughter, who loved all the activities. Ron is experienced and knowledgeable, a gracious host and kind man, and staying at the lodge was a family and kid-friendly experience. We highly recommend it.

Peaceful, family fun!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was wonderfully accommodating and very clean! Lots of amenities including the game room, and plenty of land to explore, left everyone tired by the end of the days. It'd be hard to get bored at Ron's cabin. But if what you want is rest and relaxation, that's feasible too. Our extended family including adults as well as small children really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely recommend this rental to others looking for a fun family get away.

You wont be dissapointed!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great week of weather for our stay in late June - the house was in great shape and Ron was really helpful in showing where things were and how to use certain things (i.e. propane stove). We ended up having a few extra guests and Ron was willing to open the bunk house for us for a small additional fee which was really helpful.

Tons of activities to do on property - we didn't utilize the pond (about 1 mile from the house) and hardly utilized the game room during our short stay because there was just so many other outdoor activities going on.

This is a different feel from other rentals I've had - this is a business for Ron and he really wants you to have a safe, enjoyable vacation.

Beautiful setting and friendly host

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay with Ron. The cabin is great, its a nice comfortable space set on a huge tract of forest land. We had a good time letting the dog explore the area while we ate lunch or dinner at the picnic table that overlooks the field and pond in the distance. The town of Limerick is close by and has a couple good restaurants but honestly, if you pack some groceries you wont need to leave the farm. The kitchen in the cabin is big and has everything you need for food prep.

The only sounds we could hear all weekend were the frogs and birds. It was a nice escape from Boston.

Also, Ron is awesome. We booked his place on less than 24hrs notice and he still had it cleaned and fully prepped for us. We chatted with him for a bit when we arrived and before we left. Just an all around friendly and welcoming guy.
