Get away from it all in my quiet and very private country home near Elkhart Lake, WI. You'll be minutes away from Road America, the scenic Kettle Moraine State Forest, great bike trails, the Sheboygan Marsh and lookout tower, a public beach, three world famous golf courses (two PGA Women's Open tournaments were held in nearby Kohler), a thriving nightclub scene, and some amazing restaurants.
One of the most picturesque cross country ski trails is only a few miles away, in Greenbush, where you'll find the trailhead to the northern Kettle Moraine State Forest. There are trails for beginning skiers and veterans alike.
A well-groomed snowmobile trail, the Northern Kettle Moraine - Corridor 3 - is even more convenient. You can sled to the trail right from our driveway, as it runs along the northern edge of our property, about a third of a mile from the house. .
My cozy three-bedroom home sits on a rural five-acre lot surrounded by 95 acres of fields and forests. There are only three other houses in the vicinity, and none of them are within shouting distance. The only creatures you'll see out the windows are deer, sandhill cranes, geese, turkeys and the occasional owl.
The house has three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a three-car garage, a full basement with washer & dryer, fully equipped kitchen with granite counters, Dish TV, Keurig coffee maker, wireless Internet, digital keyboard, and an attractive loft overlooking the living room. It sleeps five very comfortably, and our three comfy sofas could accommodate a few more. If you have children, we'll set out some toys, games and books for them. Outside, there is plenty of space for walking, wildlife watching, or meditating. We'll cut firewood for you if you are interested in having a bonfire in our fire circle. Look out any window and you'll see nature's beauty.
I've posted a 90-second video about the house online. You can see here at the end of all my photos, or you can find it elsewhere by doing a video search for 'Rental House in Elkhart Lake.'
Come and visit. You won't find a quieter, more private place to stay for miles.
