We love our home because you truly feel like you are in a tree house and away from it all but still close to everything. The location of the hot tub is great because you are surrounded by trees and can look up to see the stars. We also enjoy sitting in the rocking chairs and eating our meals on the covered deck. Guestbook comments from the owner

This mountain getaway was absolutely perfect. The cool mountain air felt so great on the screened-in porch. It was late May and we even used the gas fireplace for a while. This place has all the comforts of home and is located in a beautiful setting with lots of hiking and other activities nearby. There's a binder on the coffee table that was very helpful to us when planning our day out. But the place itself is nice enough to just stay in! The home is well built and VERY clean. If you like a quiet mountain getaway, I highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful house!

  • 4 of 5

I loved this house! It was just the perfect size for myself, my spouse, and niece and nephew. We all had our own space, with my 8 year old sleeping in the loft area. Very cozy! Up to date appliances, and the hot tub was a bonus that everyone enjoyed! The driveway is extremely steep, so be aware that you WILL NEED a 4 wheel drive, or all wheel drive vehicle to get to the house that is near the top of the mountain. It took us about 2-4 minutes to get to the house, once we started up the steep incline off of the main road that runs through Maggie Valley, and I used the automatic hill decent breaking system on my 4 wheel drive to get us safely off of the mountain every day. Once at the house, it was nice and quiet. The beds were comfortable for us, and the house was clean and cozy. We came up for the weekend to go snow tubbing at "Tony's Tube World," which was a 5-10 minute drive from the house (depending on how fast you go down the mountain), and it was also close to Cherokee (which we took a day to explore), and a short 30-40 minute drive to Asheville. I will definately stay here again, if I return to the Maggie Valley area! Great place!

Owner's Response: I am glad you loved the house and all the amenities...I do my best to make it feel like home. Just to clarify a 4WD or AWD vehicle is ONLY needed during the winter months in the event of ice or snow. If there is no ice or snow ANY vehicle can make up and down the mountain. I have personally driven my wife's Honda Odyssey minivan as well as a variety of rental cars including a Hyundai Elantra, Kia Optima, Ford Explorer and even a Mustang once- all vehicles make it up and down just fine. Thanks for your feedback and staying at Fernbrook Treehouse!

Fernbrook Treehouse

  • 5 of 5

We had the pleasure of staying in the Fernbrook Treehouse in Maggie Valley, NC. Everything the owner, Brandon, promised in the description was accurate. It was clean, very well stocked with essentials, the hot tub was awesome. It was very convenient for traveling to and from the cataloochee ski resort. You must have 4-wheel drive in case of snow. The owner answered all my emails in a timely manner and we would definitely consider staying here again if we get the opportunity to come back to Maggie Valley

Hot tub allicious!

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our time in Brandon's place. It was very relaxing. The house had plenty of space for the two of us. We could've brought a few more. The hot tub was great! We used it everyday! The fireplace was a nice touch too. The view from the hot tub and back porch were nice since it was winter! The only thing we wish was a bit different was if the house was a bit more open to the outside. If the living room had bigger Windows or something like that. But that's a small thing. Our Kia Soul navigated the climb to the cabin fine, though it is the 2.0 mind you. Overall very happy with our stay!

Owner's Response: Thanks for taking the time to review your stay. I am glad you enjoyed the house and the hot tub. The hot tub is a favorite of mine, my wife and all 3 kids. Doesn't matter the time of year or temperature outside, life is good sitting in that hot tub!

Loved loved loved it!!! 💗💗💗

Fernbrook treehouse was everything I was looking for and more. Close to The Great Smokey Mountain National Park, The Blueridge Parkway, The Great Smokey Monutain Railroad, Down Town Waynesville, Barbers Orchard, Mingo Falls and Soco Falls. The house had everything you needed to cook a meal or just relax by the fire or jaccuzzi. I had the pleasure to meet the owner Brandon. He's a great guy and was prompt to assist with any questions or rental needs. Book your stay now you won't be sorry! I can't wait to stay here again! There's nothing like autumn in the mountains!

This home is very much a Treehouse . My family and I loved being so high up in the trees. It was clean, comfortable and cozy. We did have one question for the owners and they very quick to respond. We would like to stay there again in the future.
