Meticulously renovated, Liberty Farm's 3 story farmhouse has comfortable contemporary decor, perfect for relaxing, entertaining, and even working...if you must. The kitchen is spacious with slate floor, granite countertops and stainless appliances, but maintains a country kitchen feel, while the beautiful oval dining table will clearly be the setting for many a late night gathering.
There are plenty of comfortable seating areas in the house, with tasteful white slipcovered chairs and dark wood furnishings. Even the second floor has its own bright living area/den. There are two bedrooms on that floor including the massive 400 sq ft master, with wall of built-in closets and drawers. Up to the third floor converted attic where a long white room with queen bed sits up in the eaves. There is also an alcove up there, with a fourth queen bed, but there is no door separating the alcove, nor is there a door on the third floor bathroom (there is a partition wall), so this space is better suited to family members or really good friends!
The second and third floors have wonderful new white bathrooms, one with a clawfoot tub (and separate tiled shower). The house gets cable TV (there is more than one in the house) and has satellite internet access if you choose to bring your computer. There is a gas grill, washer and dryer.
Located just about 5 minutes from exit 100A of Route 17 (Liberty), this house is about 2 hours from NYC. There is a farmer’s market every Friday, and with private acreage, long walks, peace and tranquility can easily be found here.
This renovated farmhouse boasts a large lawn, picturesque barn and a sunny deck along with private acreage. This property is perfect for long walks and whether you stay for a week or a weekend, peace and tranquility can easily be found here.
The house itself is quiet and private, which is what we were looking for. Very nice kitchen - enjoyed cooking and hanging out in the welcoming space. Few shortcomings unfortunately. The bed in the master bedroom needs replacing. The mattress was collapsed and uncomfortable (only on one side oddly enough, so you find yourself rolling to the right all night). The bedding had a bad order. Lastly, there was a fly problem in the house, both living and dead. The number of dead flies found throughout the house made it clear that the house was not serviced properly before we arrived. These few items aside, it's a cool house. We focused on the good and enjoyed it. It served the purpose of getting out of town for a few nights, but we were not completely pleased.
