Starfish is located directly across from Gimbel & Sons Country Store and has Queen size bed, futon in living room, Internet and DirecTV, and a fully stocked kitchen. This apartment has been completely renovated in 2014 and is bright and comfortable.
The location is right in the heart of the downtown just steps away from shopping, restaurants and the waterfront activities. It is on the second floor and has access to a washer and dryer in the hallway.
The harbor offers many activities including kayaking, paddle boarding, whale watching, harbor tours, the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, many preserves for hiking, antiques, and lots of restaurants and shopping.
Mark & Dianne Gimbel are the property owners. We own a few stores in the heart of the downtown and live above one of them which is across from this property. We were summer kids, Dianne from the Boston area and Mark from the Cleveland area, and we ended up moving here after college and working in the family business which was expanded into mail order to make it a year round business. We are still at it 32 years later and renting the apartments on Home Away is our newest adventure. We look forward to meeting you and sharing out beautiful harbor with you.

This building was in the family and by luck we ended up owning it. We have all lived in the apartments at one time or another including our grandmother for 10 years and now our children off and on. We have many great memories!
The location of this building is perfect! You are right in the midst of everything while still being able to hop in your car and head to the Botanical Gardens or to see Ocean Point or hike a trail.
We stayed for 7 days and had a wonderful time. Perfect location if you're looking to be steps away from everything. The car stayed parked all week and we walked to everything because it was so close. The apartment was very clean and recently remodeled along with being dog friendly it's the perfect spot to spend some time. The Gimble family are super nice people and easy to deal with and I would recommend staying in any one of the locations they have all in the same building.
Very clean, open space with all the amenities. Great kitchen and pleasant staff helped us get settled. Fun to watch the busy street from above. I would suggest guests plan on packing efficiently for this second floor apartment. It was a bit tricky to unload our luggage at a busy time of day and then move our car. Safe parking is provided about 2 blocks away.
I just loved this little apartment; I felt like I was a Boothbay resident for a week. Right away, I was uplifted by the coastal decor. It has all the amenities you need to include a shared washer and dryer downstairs. It's right 'downtown' Boothbay but amazingly is very quiet especially after 9pm. The owners live right across the street and are available to help if you need them. The entire Boothbay is within walking distance so once you get parked, you dont really need a car. I would stay there again!!! Just note that the max capacity is 4. 4 is cramped, so if you cant stand being in close quarters its not for you. But if you like cozy charming spaces, you will love it! A special thanks to the owners who accepted my reservation last minute. This spot was exactly what I need!

Meticulous and brand new everything. Perfect spot to hang ours hats and see the town without needing our car. Trolley service stopped right outside the building. Love Boothbay Harbor, Pete and Mary
