Fontainebleau is ideal for Food and Wine lovers (bakeries, pastry shops, cheese shops, wine deals, bistrots, gourmet restaurants), Historical site lovers (chateau, theater, churches..), Rock climbers, Hikers, On (bicycle lanes) and off road (immense forest) bicyclists, Adventure seekers, Sight seers, Tourists without a car, Explorers of Paris (45 minutes by train), Visitors of Disneyland Paris, Open air market lovers and for those who are just looking to experience the ambiance and pace of a beautiful and proverbial French town.
I was born and raised in Evansville IN and then became a chef and travelled to various places. I always wanted to live in France and accomplished my dream by working with Disneyland Paris for 12 years which began prior to opening in 2002. My husband is French and we enjoy taking our two Golden Retrievers for long walks in the forest, which is a 15 minute walk away. We'd be happy to answer any questions you may have and welcome you to our lovely Fontainebleau and comfortable well located apartment. We hope to see you soon.
Robin de Lafforest purchased this apartment in 2013
The aparment is centrally located in Fontainebleau with easy access to the train station.
Highly recommended. The suite was free from any odours (e.g. tobacco) when we arrived. Windows on both sides give complete cross-ventilation and the inside temperature was always comfortable in July.
The location is within walking distance of the chateau and a grocery store. For those with a car, there is first-come, first-served parking which always had space for us. We found Fontainebleau an easy place to drive in.
Unlike many rental suites in France, this one has a dedicated laundry room with separate washer and dryer, both of which worked efficiently. For North American guests, this is a major plus.
Robin is friendly, efficient and easy to work with. We would certainly come here again ourselves.
