Peter and Christine are a Canadian couple who love Mexico! We love the Mexican people, their traditions and culture. Through our travels we have found Mexico to be one of the most welcoming and friendly places. Not only do the people make us feel welcome but their country also provides a beautiful, warm, wondrous playground to explore.Tao is the only place to consider if you want a unique, well rounded experience in a tranquil, serene, setting. Peter and Christine enjoy everything the Tao Wellness Centre has to offer. While Christine spends time swimming or taking part in the fitness, yoga or meditation classes, Peter can be found walking briskly throughout the resort……or simply sitting back in a lawn chair enjoying a nice, cold cerveza, while watching people pass by our perfectly located, corner garden condo, Qi-G1.
We love the area of Tulum, Akumal, and Playa del Carmen. These areas offer everything imaginable from ancient ruins to underground cenotes. Tulum has the most pristine beaches and unique restaurants, while Playa del Carmen offers a great night life with plenty of shops. The quaint village of Akumal, on one side of the highway, offers hospitality, warmth, and a small taste of Mexican life. On other side of the highway the calm, warm waters of the bay provide world renowned snorkeling and diving.
TAO is the only place to consider if you want a unique, well rounded experience in a tranquil, serene, setting. Continue your active lifestyle while on vacation. This luxurious two bedroom two bathroom ground floor garden condo is great for families
TAO Inspired Living is located in the heart of the Riviera Maya, at the north east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, which features an array of attractions ranging from deserted beaches to modern architectural complexes, including hotels, marinas, sports facilities and gourmet restaurants. It has several small towns along its coastline; all of them located no more than 1.5 miles from the wonderful turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean. The most important towns in the region are Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras, Tulum and Akumal. At the southern end you’ll find the biosphere reserve, Sian Ka’an, a habitat noted for the richness of its flora and fauna.
The Mayan culture remains present throughout the area, in the many indigenous communities still found here. They strive to preserve their traditions, religion and social structure, although the real splendor of the ancient Mayan civilization is most evident in the numerous archaeological sites of this stunning area, such as Tulum, Cob, Chichen Itz, among many others. It is through the pyramids, playing fields, sculpted stone pillars, plazas and temples that some of the mysteries, still surrounding one of Mexico’s most important cultures, have been partially deciphered.
Jungle, diverse flora and fauna, archaeological sites, deserted beaches, a turquoise-colored sea with crystal-clear water that turns to silver under the moonlight, the fantasy and warmth of the tropics and the mystery of an ancient culture which lives on today, are just some of the qualities which have transformed the Riviera Maya into a world-class tourist destination.
