We are both designers and love creating warm, inviting spaces for our guests— a home away from home we'd love to stay in if we were traveling ourselves. It's always a pleasure to meet our guests and to give them tips on interesting places to visit.
This is the perfect place to stay. Our family of 2 adults and 4 kids were very comfortable. We felt safe walking to and from the metro. The market was so nice and close and we were able to find parking easily on the street.
Quick responses from the owner/management if we needed anything. We would definitely stay again!!
Very nice property located in a nice neighborhood in Brooklyn.
Just a few minutes walk to the subway and then close to Manhattan. We did not spend much time in the apartment but when we did we had a TV with Netflix access so we watched a couple of movies.
Kitchen was fully complete.
Bathroom is a little small but has what you need.
With 2 teenagers it was also nice for them to have their own room. The fact that you had to walk through the rooms to reach another leaves very little privacy but that was a minor inconvenience.
We had a great time.
We greatly enjoyed our stay in this roomy, comfortable apartment. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and were perfect for the pickiest of us. All the amenities we required were there for us. The a/c was great to have, and cooled quickly and evenly. The groceries, eats, and subways were an easy walk. For New York we found the apartment quite quiet. The neighborhood is family and we felt safe.
We drove to N.Y., and neglected to pay attention to the owners' parking time recommendations. We had to park three blocks away when we were out until 10:00 p.m. After that we used other transportation in the evening, and always found parking nearby, out front of the building.
All of our emails received quick and courteous responses. We did not have any problems or questions during our stay though we did receive adequate contact information if assistance was needed.
We wholeheartedly recommend this apartment and would check availability for a return trip!
We visited NY for the first time with our 3 daughters ages 14,12 and 9. This location was great for us. We felt safe, were able to get our bearings quickly, and had everything we needed for a week away from home. Subway and grocery store nearby and kitchen well equipped for meals at home or packing a lunch to head to Manhattan. Neighborhood quiet and owners there if you need them but not intrusive. If we ever make it back we would stay there again. Thank you!
Our family stayed in the Rose Garden Suite on the lower level which was comfortable for 5. Nice clean apt and neighborhood. This was our first time staying in Brooklyn when vacationing in NYC. We found the amenities of the neighborhood, subway, grocery and restaurants near by. Every thing was as appeared in the photos and explained by Katie the manager. Even the car service recommended was prompt and courteous! Most certainly would reserve the property again. A great home away from home!
Our second stay at this VRBO. It worked wonderfully again for our family with 4 adults & 2 kids. Regarding the floor plan, the bedrooms are all connected/in a line. Not a big deal if you are traveling with family or close friends, but those who need more privacy, take note. Great communication from the property manager from the start and we were even able to check in a couple of hours early. Parking on the street was easy. We parked right in front of the rental & didn't move the car for entire visit. Easy walk to the subway with a supermarket en route if you need to pick up any groceries. The apartment was clean and well appointed. Highly recommend this place as a great alternative to staying in Manhattan.
Straddling the neighborhoods of Bushwick, Brooklyn and Ridgewood, Queens, the apartment is 5 blocks away from the Dekalb Street 'L' train station in Brooklyn—one of the best subway lines in the city. Union Square, the heart of downtown Manhattan, is only 15 minutes away via a direct subway ride; Williamsburg, Brooklyn's stylish boutiques, bars and restaurants are only a 7 minute train ride away.
Ours is a quieter, more residential neighborhood, but it is in an exciting stage of growth. In the last 5 years there has been a huge influx of artists and creatives in our immediate area. As a result, there is now a solid (and rapidly growing) number of stylish cafes, restaurants, wine bars, art galleries, yoga studios, and a great 24-hour gourmet/organic grocery store all within a 10-12 minute walk from the apartment. There are also local Italian bakeries, Halal butcher shops, Equadorian bodegas, Polish food markets and the best tasting Mexican tamales we've ever come across. All relevant information can be found in our Guest Welcome binder in the apartment and we hope that you will explore these local gems during your visit.
