Apartment, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)

Now with central air conditioning! This is one of two carriage house apartments next door to my home (see 2-bedroom/2 bath listing #368828), in the heart of the Santa Fe historic district. Both apartments are newly renovated inside by one of Santa Fe's leading architects, but retain the charm of an historic building on the outside.

Turn off a quiet neighborhood street into a long drive to off-street parking in front of the apartment, nestled among lovely old trees. This unit is on one level, with a bedroom, bath with large shower, living area, large gourmet kitchen and dining area, looking out to the trees through light-filled windows. Apartment includes its own washer/dryer.

Enjoy the charm of living in a real Santa Fe neighborhood but with the convenience of a few short blocks to the Plaza or Canyon Road art district. Though so close to dozens of shops, galleries and restaurants, this apartment is in a calm and quiet setting.

This was an great location. We had a great stay

The Unit was very centrally located. It was a few blocks from the plaza and also a couple of blocks to Canyon Road. We parked the car at the Unit and hardly used it all weekend. The Unit was very clean and modern. Very comfortable and very quiet. I would highly recommend this rental and will stay there again, the next time I am in Santa Fe.

Location, location, location

Ideal location, especially for walkers! Close to the Plaza, cathedral, museums, shops, and restaurants. Small but efficient , with a full kitchen. Owner lives next door, and was very hospitable and helpful. We'll stay there again (if we don't buy a house in Santa Fe, our favorite place).

Location Location Location !! Walk to everything!

The location was great! Close to everything Santa Fe had to offer, only used the car for day trips out of the area. The accomadations were great for our weeks stay, pictures are true to reality. Craig was very personable and helpful with recommendations. Hoping to return for a much longer stay

as a week is not long enough to enjoy all that New Mexico has to offer.

Location, Location, Location...

This one-bedroom unit exceeded our expectations! It's located in a quiet neighborhood away from the main activity of Santa Fe but don't be fooled. It's only a 5 minute easy, direct walk to the Plaza and several restaurants and cafes are even closer. Off-street parking is private and secure with high adobe walls surrounding the entire property, providing for an even greater sense of privacy. And, with the wonderful owner, Craig, just steps away there is no property management company to deal with--you're dealing directly with the owner who's main concern is the satisfaction of guests. We stayed in Unit A, which has been fully remodeled top-to-bottom and it exceeded our expectations. The fully equipped kitchen with stainless modern appliances has everything one could hope for if you have the desire to prepare meals. Speaking of which, Kaune's Market is an easy 3 minute drive and will meet and exceed the needs of even most discerning individuals. You can, also, visit Capital Coffee, which is next door to the market for a high quality local espresso! A full-sized coffee maker along with a hot water kettle for those of us who prefer tea was a nice touch and a testament to Craig's attention to detail regarding this rental. The full-sized bathroom had a wonderful, large, over-sized walk-in shower and higher end finishes. And, we slept solidly in the comfortable bed. One of my pet peeves in rentals is a lack of lighting. That was NOT the case here! And, I really liked the under counter lighting in the kitchen with additional natural lighting provided by two skylights. The heating unit in the living room provided more than ample heat during the cold night, even though there is an additional radiant heater in the bedroom operated by simply pushing a toggle button. We did discover a full-sized washer and dryer exists in the unit, but didn't take advantage of them due to our short stay. As someone who has stayed in several places over the years, this was one of the best one-bedroom rentals we've experienced. We'll definitely be back!

Great stay, again!

This was my 5th or 6th stay in one of Craig's two rentals, and it was excellent as always. I had booked another casita for my break, but because of ants at the other place, I left after one night. Luckily Craig had vacancy in this flat, and I was able to salvage the rest of my Santa Fe stay. A kind and laid-back host, a clean, bright, and fully-equipped apartment, a terrific location with off-street parking . . . . what's not to love?
