Stayed june 2015 for 8 nights family of 5 with teenagers. Location Location Location close to most of the best attractions and the view really cant be described. The villa is older but has worn very well and has got alot of character. The vegetation is remarkable housekeeping very good and owners available for any issues. Rent a 4 wheel drive and explore. truly is an exceptional area and the ability to do things all day long was never an issue because of the location. Remember to tip well and go to anse chastenet beach and snorkel to the right wow. The sounds at night are surreal with the piton and moon view.
This villa was absolutely five stars for us. The view is absolutely stunning, the house has beautiful stone and woodwork throughout. All of the bedrooms are large and comfortable and all face the incredible view. The placed is incredibly private, you feel like you're on your own estate although you're only a minute or two from two of the best restaurants on the island and only about ten minutes from town. You also have your own almost private back road - less than a minute - to the drive up volcano where you can take mud baths - we did it every day. Amazing for the skin and lots of other ailments.
The staff was great, there we you needed them and not when you didn't. They would bring fresh fruit daily, picked from the grounds of the estate.
The owners, Myrna and Sylvia, were fabulous. They helped with anything we needed, they even arranged a car for us with a great rental company. The rental company, And's (he also goes by Andy) was very helpful. He replaced our first car when it started acting strangely, we didn't even have to leave the house, he had it driven right to our doorstep.
Myrna and Sylvia and Andy also came through in an emergency for us. We made it to the airport, almost an hour away and realized we had left our passports in the safe (make yourself a checklist now!). We didn't have time to make the return trip back and then back again - although Andy had the car brought back to us instantly for that purpose. They arranged to have a motorcycle driver zip to the villa, grab the passports and bring them to us at the airport. Lifesaver!
Overall, fantastic experience. We got to experience the food and the beaches at the best resorts but we had better accommodations at a better price with our own PRIVATE pool and a kitchen. We had a harpoon fisherman (we left his number in the guest book) bring us fish caught an hour earlier, filleted and ready to cook. When we go back, we'll do it the exact same way.
My wife and I had a wonderful time on the island. The villa was beautiful, peaceful and relaxing to say the least.
Sylvie did a teriffic job coordinating every aspect of our arrival: arranged for complimentary taxi service from and to the airport, delivery of the rental car to the villa and was there when we arrived (be sure to ask for an automatic transmission...driving on the left and sitting on the right is quite an adjustment). She met us at the villa and introduced us to everyone.
Mary Ann is the housekeeper and she was fantastic and most helpful in telling us the ropes. She even made us her island famous banana pancakes (you just need to give her the ingredients). Yummie!
We’ve traveled to different spots each of the last three years, and Coco Pitons is a definite return in the future. Thanks for having us.

The Coco Pitons Villa is located about an hour from the airport, not too difficult to find once heading towards Soufriere, and the road leading up to the villa is diagonally opposite the 5-Star Ladera Resort. A rental car is recommended - one with good tires and brakes! :)
We were greeted warmly by Sylvia and as she gave us the 1st tour, we were impressed by the beautiful foliage, the well-appointed kitchen, the lovely local artwork that decorated the villa, and the size of it with all its nooks and crannies to relax, nap, read. The bedrooms were comfortable, all with mosquito nets and ready access to bathrooms. None of it - however beautiful - could compare to the view of the Pitons. Breathtaking. Truly felt like we were one with nature. Every morning we woke up and just stared as if we were seeing it for the first time.
With nature comes...bugs :) Don't forget your bug spray. Housekeepers, Mary and Patricia, came daily and did a great job of sweeping up bugs, cleaning the kitchen and cleaning the rest of the villa from top to bottom. They were never intrusive and always announced their arrival. We had access to cable television and wireless, and while we didn't turn on the television too often, it was good to know that we still had access to news/the outside world if we wanted to. The villa also came with a local cell phone so that we could make reservations and plans.
This villa allows for you to be "ground zero" for access to nearby sites: The sulfur pits, Diamond Water Falls, Fond Doux Plantation. A must is the beach at the Jalousie Resort which is just down the road from the villa. $20 US for all day use of each blue beach chair. Their Rainforest Spa is the best I've experienced anywhere. Dinner at Martha's for scrumptious local cuisine is a must - also 10 to 15 minutes from the villa. Our sons' favorite trip was to Rodney Bay for the Pirate Ship evening sail and horseback riding. It's an hour and a half drive from the villa, not because of the distance, but more so because of the road conditions. The view along the way, however, is worth the trip. Castries Market was also a great excursion.
One word of caution: it is not an ideal villa for young children - the upstairs balcony, the pool, and the drop down the hillside all do NOT have barriers to prevent small children from falling.
I would rent this villa again in a heartbeat ( without my kids, of course) :) :) and would highly recommend it to others.
My family just returned from a 10 day stay and we were thoroughly impressed. The house was exactly as the pictures portrayed. The housekeepers were very friendly and willing to answer any questions that we had. The only suggestion we have regarding them cooking for us would be to have some kind of food options. We wanted local food, but we had a hard time figuring out what they could make for us. The food that they made was awesome and we had enough for next day leftovers. As for the bugs, I really didn't find them to be a nuisance, but our 7 yr old did get quite a few bites, then again, we didn't really use a lot of bug spray on her. I do wish there were fans in each room though. I think that would've helped because it wasn't always breezy at night. The pool was a great touch especially around 4:00 when the sun was blazing and we had just come back from a day of touring around.
The location of the house was PERFECT! We were able to go zip lining (Morne Coubaril) and sightseeing (Diamond Waterfall, Piton Waterfall, Botanical Gardens & Fond Doux tour) all without having to drive more than just a few miles. You definitely need a decent all wheel drive vehicle or an SUV because some of the roads are tad rough (not the main road). One recommendation would be to offer guests a detailed list of what is so close by. Especially, since the directions we were finding online were sketchy and vague.
The initial drive into Soufriere was a tad stressful, but once we got the hang of it and got the lay of the land we were very comfortable making our way around. We did have a few folks follow us around wanting to see if we needed their assistance, but with a few polite "no thank-you's" they would just walk away. Everyone that we met was so very friendly and helpful. A few times we had to ask for directions and each time they folks were very helpful.
We weren't impressed w/Jalouise because the non-guests were sort of pushed off to one side and even though we could eat at the beach bar we still felt odd. Make sure you tell the folks at the guard gate when you get there that you're going to eat so they'll give you a ride down the hill and keep your receipt so you can get a ride back up...trust me you'll be thankful that you did.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this house to others. But you have to have an open mind and be willing to expect some bugs & humidity...remember, the back of the house is totally open. We loved it and had a great time!
My husband and I just returned from a 7 night stay at the villa. The view was more beautiful than pictured. The villa is nicely decorated and was clean upon arrival. My suggestions for improvement would be adding ceiling fans to the bedrooms and the living room, updates to the bathrooms (the showers in particular), and instructions on how to use the oven and washing machine for those who do not wish to have the housekeeper on site. The insects are abundant here, so don't go without PLENTY of bug spray to and be sure to use it 24/7.
We highly recommend Dasheen, the restaurant at The Ladera Resort, as well as Boucan, the restaurant at Hotel Chocolat - both within minutes of the villa (and both which were suggested by our driver Bobby - who was great). The beach at Jalouise Plantation is amazing - it's not to be missed! The only issue with Jalouise (as well as other resorts, I imagine) is that there are limits on the services they will provide for "non-guests"...for example, don't expect to dine in their restaurants - but there is a beach grill that will serve you food and drinks.
Coco Pitons Villa is located in Rabot Estate, a former cocoa plantation on the hillside overlooking the famous Pitons Mountains. The villa is surrounded by lush tropical plants and trees, making the location feel like one of the last untouched tropical settings. The villa is not far from some superb restaurants, as well as the town of Soufriere and the beach between the Pitons.
Other Activities: Jungle biking, rainforest tours, day-sail tours
