Since this is my home away from home, the furnishings and amenities are designed for comfort and convenience during an extended stay. The full kitchen is appointed with granite counters, cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, oven, full refrigerator with icemaker, toaster oven and coffee maker. The dining table easily expands to accommodate from 4 to 6 people.
The beds are very comfortable. Soft Egyptian cotton sheets cover the King-sized bed in the master, and twin beds in the guest room. Master bathroom has double sinks and a glass-enclosed tub/shower. The guest bathroom has an over-sized walkin shower. A full supply of towels includes sumptuous beach towels.
You can be as busy, or as lazy, as you wish. Because of the ease of shore diving off our private beach, there's no need to rush to catch an early morning dive boat. A full-service dive shop affiliated with Buddy Dive is available 300 meters south at Belmar. We have a great house reef, with no dive buoy. That means no dive boats tying up and no gang of divers.

My name is Jan. My life as a Periodontist in Dallas keeps me on a pretty tight schedule. There are also 2 Yellow Lab dogs demanding my time for frequent walks. So, when I go on vacation, it's great to be able to kick back and relax. (No, I don't take the dogs to Bonaire!!)
My open water dive certification was in 1997. I was looking for a safe dive location for my first trip and accidentally discovered Bonaire. It was love at first sight, and I've been coming back at least once a year since then.
I started looking at real estate sites many years ago, but I'm pretty picky. At first it was more like day-dreaming, but it kinda took on an obscession quality after awhile. It just took a long time to find that 'just right' spot.
I feel very lucky to have this place, and am excited about sharing the experience with others. My hope is that those who stay here enjoy it as much as I do.

The reason I chose Bellevue #3? LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
After lurking on the real estate websites of Bonaire for years, the pre-construction sales notice for Bellevue came up.
It's such a perfect place. Close to town, but away from the crowds. The Belnem area offers great ocean access. Bellevue even has a beach, which is unusual for Bonaire. I don't have to walk across the street to be in the ocean. I have direct access to the real ocean, not a canal or back-water area.
My preference is being on the ground floor. Bellevue #3 allows me to walk right off my patio onto the oceanfront deck. Now that I'm not 16 years old anymore, my knees are not happy about going up and down steps. I like to be able to go straight in and out of the apartment without steps or an elevator. That's really helpful when I forget my mask, or want a refill, or just want to wander out and meet folks at the pool. The shallow lounge pool is particularly nice as a congregation spot in the evening. Lots of good fish stories.
By buying during pre-construction, I was able to add an A/C unit in the livingroom, and get the comfortable furniture I wanted. I don't often use that A/C unit because we leave things open to the sea breeze. Still, it's nice to have when we want it.
The best part of staying at Bellevue #3 is forgetting what day it is. I can be connected if I want, but prefer to let the rest of the world get along without me. We can catch some sun on the deck, nap on the patio lounge chairs, do as many (or as few) dives a day as we want.
It's been fun having the privacy we want, when we want it. It's also fun being able to walk off the patio and strike up a conversation with folks from all over the world. Because Bellevue is a small community, we see repeat renters and owners mingling on the deck and enjoying stories of the great dives and creatures we've seen.
It doesn't get any better than that!
My wife and I decided to make a quick trip down to Bonaire for a week and, though we usually stay at Belmar, we decided to try Bellevue, since we had admired the location for several years... we couldn't have been happier with our decision. First, the condo is wonderfully stocked and makes eating in a breeze (unlike a lot of vacationers, my wife and I love to shop on-island for our week's food and cook for ourselves). The bedrooms were very comfortable and the unit stays nice an cool during the day. The patio is quite comfortable and the sun shade makes it usable all day long. My wife and I are divers, so the storage facilities and house reef were an added bonus. Sunbelt Realty was an absolute gem to work with in renting at Bellevue (Thank you Kittie!!!) and helps us arrange car rental (Caribe Car Rental... Absolutely wonderful) and diving (Dive Friends were simply wonderful people, consistent Nitrox fills and ample facilities to swap tanks). Overall, I would highly recommend this unit to anyone considering a holiday on Bonaire!!
I'm sitting in the Curaçao airport writing this on the trip back from Bonaire. My wife and I were on Bonaire at Bellevue #3 for a week and had a great trip. The condo was exactly as you see in the pictures. Very clean and well provisioned and very quiet while we were there.
We got to the island late, but there was someone from Sunbelt waiting for us with the key. AB rental took us to get the truck and finding Bellevue was simple. I can't say enough about AB. Simply the best rental experience we've had in the Caribbean. Be prepared if you arrive late, the markets will likely be closed.
The condo is in a near perfect location for divers. It's on the north side of all the southern dive sites which is convenient. Even the house reef is fantastic. It's just a 2 min drive to Dive Friends at Port Bonaire where you can swap out your tanks. We saw no reason to dive north so I can't speak to those apart from driving by them and finding them generally harder to access, more crowded with less parking.
The dive facilities at the condo are great and just outside the back door. It has a nice rinse tank, shower and locker.
We did have some issues. First, the Internet only worked cumulatively for about a day and a half the whole time we were there. Sunbelt sent a kid out to look at it, he called the provider and it came back on for a few hours before the second issue came up. Our next issue was, unbeknownst to us, Bonaire scheduled our area for an all day rolling power outage. This knocked out Internet out for the rest of the trip and spoiled all the food in the fridge. This brings us to our last issue. The fridge never got cold and the freezer never froze. We moved our food from the fridge to the freezer because it was cooler, but the power outage did it in. We called Sunbelt and even stopped by to try to get it resolved, but they never did anything about it. So, we incurred a HUGE international data bill to find places to eat out every meal. Not good.
Overall, we loved Bonaire and will definitely be back. But we'll be prepared for less than reliable amenities next time.
Bellevue #3 is a really nice place. Hopefully they can work out some of the little issues.
We stayed in an upper unit in Bellevue one night, before # 3 opened up. We had a wonderful stay, quiet end of the island. We snorkeled every single day in Bonaire in multiple locations, sometimes right off the porch of the condo. Enjoyed watching pelicans dive for their dinner, cruise ships go off into the sunset, and sailboats cruise by from the porch. The condo. was clean, nicely decorated and had a nice kitchen and several air units (previous unit only had air in bedrooms). Lots of bath and beach towels. Good wifi. Really nice bathrooms. Washer and drying rack.
Great deck chairs and a set of chairs just off of the porch overlooking the ocean. Even had a cooler and ice packs. I loved the pool! Nice place to wash off and store dive equipment outside securely. We drove 5 min. into town to eat dinner, rented scooters to snorkel from roadside and to see the island, and sailed to Klein Bonaire to swim with the sea turtles. The beach is small and you can't put a chair on it too early in the day until the waters pull back, but still nice to have some sand on an island with few sand beaches (but great snorkeling, diving, food, wildlife and culture!).
Our favorite things were renting MACHO scooters (the red ones are the fast ones with some storage under the seats, the black ones are slower, smaller gas tanks but have a milk crate storage on the back-- so we did one of each) at the Plaza Resort. It was fairly cheap for 24 hours rentals. Loved snorkeling at the Plaza's beach and eating lunch at their Coconut Crash Bar and Lobster at their Tipsy Seagull.
A MUST is going on the Woodwind sailing to Klein Bonaire, it loads at the Divi Flamingo Resort, make a reservation online. It was the best thing we did. Swam with 8 sea turtles and saw much sea life and a professional photographer took photos of us and the sea life and we purchased that DVD, that was incredible (compared to our little water proof kodaks).
Visit Lac Bay (we scootered there), beautiful and full of wind surfers and a nice resort ($5.00 to get a chair and an amazing view). Other good places we ate: At Sea, The Sunset Grill, Paradice Moon, and Rum Runners (where a 2.5 long iguana ran across my feet in flip flops under the table!). We also toured the back streets of the village Rincon, on scooters, really interesting. We saw uniformed island school kids taking a walk as a big group and singing, it was awesome.

Our main advice: Just read the property description and look at the photographs. It's accurate and for real. The location south of Kralendijk is excellent -- nearness to airport is not a problem. Sand beach is another plus. You will need a car or pickup. Rental agency was helpful in correcting any minor problems; note that they are closed on weekends. We were snorkelers, not divers. A snorkel trip to the reef off Klein Bonaire on the Woodwind was the highlight of the vacation -- be sure to take the Woodwind -- they are exceptional. We also did the National Park, kayaked in the mangroves and visited the donkeys. Enjoyed it all. For restaurants, plenty of good seafood. "At Sea" was excellent, as was panko shrimp at Rum Runners. One minor complaint -- we avoided the pool at Belleview -- way over-chlorinated. Overall, we found Belleview #3 well worth the money.
