After the success of A Breezy Cottage, we set our sails on The Life of Reilly! The property was purchased in September, 2013 and it is ready to be enjoyed! A wonderful, nautically appointed cottage two houses away from our other rental and a very short walk to the charming beaches of Rockport, MA. It comfortably sleeps up to 7 people including a a queen sized master bed, a full size bed, a single futon in the loft as well as a pull out sofa in the living room. An airy and sunny cottage located on a quiet cul de sac just outside of town, this home is a peaceful retreat while being so close to the beaches and town. The yard is open for games, outside cooking and dining or just relaxing. In its prime location, guests are a short walking distance to scenic downtown Rockport. Rockport's main attraction, Bearskin Neck, is filled with restaurants, art galleries, tourist shops and much more. Guests can find activities such as kayaking to the Twin Lighthouses to sharing a stuffed clam from Roy Moore Lobster Co. The Shalin Liu Performance Center is the newest addition to our quaint town and brings in musical artists such as Paula Cole, Judy Collins and string performances by John Jorgensen Quintet.
Summer 2014 will be the first season for The Life of Reilly and we are very excited to meet new friends and share our adorable beach cottage! Be some of our first guests and we are sure you will make this vacation home your new summer tradition!

Everything was very clean and welcoming
Loved it! May return in future!
Was not comfortable
The main problem for us was that when we arrived, the weather was humid for several days. The air conditioning was in the master bedroom. There were ceiling fans, but only about three windows were able to be opened. We stayed for three nights. We couldn't feel a good breeze, unfortunately. We found the beds to be too firm for our comfort. Also in both the master and second bedroom, there was a window where the sun shone brightly through at 6 am, which made it difficult to sleep. Good location, but would not return.
The house was as described, and communication was easy and immediate. Liz responded to my very last minute (the night before arrival) booking request, and was available during our stay as needed. The house was comfortable, and set up perfectly for my family. The kids loved, loved, loved the sleeping loft and can't wait to go back to their house in Rockport!
The location was great- walking distance to Bearskin Neck, even for my older mother with limited mobility.
I really enjoyed my stay at "The Life of Reilly" in Rockport MA. The cottage was in a fabulous location. The ocean is within view from the deck, a short walk down the street. The very scenic "Bear Skin Neck" is within a short walking distance, with shops, restaurants, galleries etc. The cottage was comfortable and clean. If you like a vacation where you can park your car and walk to everything, this is the cottage for you. Enjoy!
Amazing beach cottage !
The life of Reilly is such a quaint and wonderful cottage. Elizabeth was so kind and helpful for all of our questions. Rockport is such a lovely beach town and a wonderful place to stay! I can't recommend the life of Reilly enough!!!!
Cozy cottage in a great little harbor town.
We are a family of 5 and really enjoyed our little getaway in Rockport. The cottage was clean and quaint - a little tight when we had guests visiting, but not overly uncomfortable. Liz was kind and very helpful when we had any questions. Rockport is a great little town. We loved Bearskin Neck, which is within walking distance (even for our four-year-old). We took the train to Salem for Halloween, which was a bit overwhelming for us country folk (from MT), but an experience none-the-less!
At The Life of Reilly, you can enjoy a very short stroll to either Front or Back Beach, Bearskin Neck, out to breakfast, lunch and / or dinner, listen to the Band Concert on a Sunday evening, kayak, scuba dive, take a train into Boston or just relax on the front porch with your summer read! All without your car! Oh, and don't forget to get the mandatory ice cream cone!
