About Sheila Muldaur
I live on Martha's Vineyard year-round. I built my house in 1989 for myself and my two children. Since then, my girls have grown and had children of their own. Now we all enjoy the house and are happy to share it with you and your family!
Sheila Muldaur purchased this House in 1989
Why Sheila Muldaur chose Chilmark
Chilmark is the number one town on Martha's Vineyard! From this property, it's a short drive to beaches and you have immediate access to walking trails on many conservation properties.

Private and peaceful getaway
We had a relaxing and delightful stay in this eclectic and secluded home. The owner thought of everything for days at the beautiful Lucy Vincent Beach, so no need for beach chairs or umbrella. The location is perfect for daily walks on trails accessible from the house. We loved this part of the island with its close proximity to Menemsha, Alley's, and the Chilmark store where you can pick up a sandwich to take to the beach located right around the corner. It was delightful!
Peaceful and beautiful
It was our first time on the Vineyard and we were totally dazzled by the setting and seclusion of this property. We were here for 2 weeks for our son's wedding and fell in love with Sheila's beautiful home. We enjoyed having coffee in the morning on the enclosed porch while viewing the beautiful gardens and wild turkeys strolling by. Sheila made sure that we had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay . Her home was immaculate. Groceries, fish market in Menemsha, Lucy Vincent Beach, Farmers Market in West Tisbury (Wed. And Sat. ) were a short ride away. We are planning to come back again next year !
Great vacation house!
This is a wonderful vacation home. We love visiting this side of the island, Sheila takes great pride in her home and it shows. The home is clean, fully furnished. The greatest part of this vacation home is the access to the Lucy Vincent beach. Can't wait to visit again this year!
Perfect vacation home
lWe have enjoyed many August vacations in this Charming secluded setting with great light, hardwood floors, and relaxing enclosed patio. Beautiful garden. You can hear the ocean gently at night. Easy drive to Lucy Vincent Beach, Chilmark Store and Alley's.
Gorgeous, peaceful and classic Martha's Vineyard!
Love this place!
This was the perfect getaway for our family to spend time together, explore the Vineyard, hang out at the beach and rest and relax.
The house is nestled in a magical sea of hydrangeas, and the whole property is the epitome of peaceful, natural beauty.
Impeccably maintained bright house and garden with plenty of space and light, an incredible outdoor shower (!!) and comfortable, generous living space.
We had an amazing time cooking and eating together in the well equipped kitchen, and hanging out in the beautiful garden after a long day at the beach.
I cannot wait to come back soon!
Cute house, lovely property, 5 min drive to beach
Next year will be our 4th time renting this very clean and well maintained house. It really is as nice as the pictures, and the owner is meticulous about everything. Secluded, with beautiful views of the countryside. You need a car, but easy access to wonderful Chilmark beaches (town beach pass is pricey but worth it), trails and restaurants. Downstairs bedroom is just fine for two people, while upstairs extra bedrooms are small. We plan to go back every year that we can. Perfect for a middle-aged couple seeking a laid back vacation. Can't wait to return!
