Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
So we are already planning our return trip to this lovely, comfortable home house - with the amazing location and unparalleled view. The house is very well set up for a group such as ours - two families with teens. Plenty of space to get away from each other and come together as well. The hot tub was well used, beach was very easy to access and downtown was a 15-20 min walk- and less than 5 min drive.
Wonderful place with everything needed for a great vacation.
Lots of space, great location. One bathroom does not have a shower. Plenty of sleeping space, books, games, dishes, etc.
We loved the house and its proximity to the beach and ocean. The house met almost all our expectations. It should be clear to others that there are a lot of stairs (we found it more convenient to go through the garage). Crossing the main road was a bit scary with children. We hope to come back soon!
We stayed here with 4 adults and 2 kids (a 3.5 year old and 8 month old) and two dogs. The house was spacious and plenty of room for everyone to spread out in privacy. The working fireplace was great for the November colder weather (you can buy wood and starter kindling at the new local Fresh Foods store about 5 minutes away). We were a bit hesitant on getting to the beach based on prior review comments, but it was quite easy and only a 5 minute walk. Once you walk out of the house, you cross S Hemlock (carefully, but it's not too dangerous if you pay attention) and then just walk straight on the dedicated wooden beach path. The 3.5 year old loved the carpeted red-room secret play area full of toys and Lincoln Logs. The dumb-waiter was super helpful to load luggage or groceries from the garage up to the kitchen area and top floors. We had 2 cars and they fit fine in the garage. The kitchen is well equipped, although with an electric stovetop and electric oven, I wouldn't call this a gourmet kitchen - it worked completely fine for us, but it wasn't top-of-line. Our two negatives both are understandable and were dealt with fine. The first was a broken hot water heater - when we arrived there was zero hot water anywhere. I called the 24 hour Vacasa rental hotline on a Sunday morning and within 10 minutes the local property manager had called me back and came out to the house personally. He stayed there on site and arranged for an emergency plumber to come and repair the leaking tank. Within a few hours we were up and running for the week. So other than the issue itself, it was handled extremely well, especially for a Sunday. We also were there during a torrential rain and wind storm and noticed a few places where the skylight was leaking and dripping onto the floor and kitchen countertops. It wasn't horrible, but it was enough to move the table a bit and put towels down to catch it. Luckily the leaking was only at night during our stay, so there wasn't an impact to our experience, but there could have been under different circumstances. We let the managers know about this also and they are looking into it.
The bottom line is that we had a great week's stay and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The views absolutely can't be beat and I would have been happy to stay inside the entire time, just drinking coffee and watching Haystack Rock and the ocean views. We would certainly consider staying here again without hesitation.
