About Katie Roberson
Hi! We are a family of 6 from SE Washington. We run a couple of campgrounds/RV parks: Tamarack RV Park in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Beach RV Park in Benton City, Washington. We love traveling, camping, and sailing.
Katie Roberson purchased this House in 2004
Why Katie Roberson chose Benton City
We own Beach RV Park behind Wine Country House, so it was natural to own this home, and offer it to guests. The house is very solid and well-built, and very quiet.
What makes this House unique
This home is between Tri-Cities and Yakima, making it uniquely situated for boating/hiking adventures in the valley, living in while work contracting at Hanford Nuclear Site, or enjoying a wine-tour weekend with friends.

Clean and spacious
The home was spacious and super clean, there were five of us and we had plenty of room. It is conveniently located to the freeway and many major wineries in red mountain which was a huge bonus for us. It was also nice having two showers in the morning, just don't run them at the same time. The bbq needs to be updated, this one has been well used and was behaving intermittently for us, but the property manager was always prompt to respond and indicated she was in the market for a new one. The kitchen was pretty well stocked and we were able to put together two dinners and a breakfast with out too much effort as well. We plan on staying at this property again next year.
Good place and affordable
This house is the same as the last time we were in town. Its clean, comfortable and easy access to where we needed to be.
The home was perfect for what we needed
In town for a wedding.-met our son,a groomsman.w e stayed for wine tasting which was fun! The size of the home is great. Decor A bit dated, but fine for us.
Comfortable and adequate
House was clean and very comfortable. Only negatives were lack of basic kitchen supplies (towels, scrubbers, spices), no laundry supplies and VERY POOR control of water temperature in showers - scalding to cold in an instant with extremely low water pressure. Still really enjoyed our stay.
Thank you for your comments. One of our managers just died, and we apologize for the lack of re-stocking kitchen supplies. Our ad for the house clearly says bring your own laundry soap. We will investigate the fluctuating water pressure. Glad you had a good stay.
comfortable and cozy, great for families
Just what we needed for our weekend trip to Tri-Cities for a wedding! Our two small boys loved the backyard and there was plenty of room for three adults and two toddlers to spread out and relax. The house was conveniently located to stores, parks, and wineries. Thanks for sharing your home!
Great plaice to stay in wine country
The house is spacious and well located for access to the local wineries and walking trails. With all the creature comforts we felt at home cooking and relaxing with an assortment of entertainment options. The park is quiet and having the owner/manager on site was a plus. The only disappointment was that the hot tub was out of service.
Red Mountain wineries are located just north of Benton City, WA at the east end of the Yakima Valley AVA and just west of the Tri-Cities. The official Red Mountain AVA is home to 18 wineries.

Bring your own laundry detergent to use in our wash machine. Please tell us at the time of booking if you wish to use the hot tub. We're very happy to scrub it and fill it up with clean water and heat it just for you, for a modest one-time fee of $25. Two night minimum stay required for Fri and Sat nights. This online reservation software system has a glitch, in that it charges for extra adults, but not "children". For each guest over the limit of two, we charge abit extra per night, and last we checked, children are guests! When making your reservation, please count each child as an "adult"...that will give you the correct price for your stay. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. Cancellations anytime up until 30 days prior to your stay will be cheerfully refunded minus a $10 processing fee.
