Michelangelo Buonarroti himself use to live very close to this area and his house is still there. The important archaeological museum with Etruscan objects is only 4 blocks away.

Twenty metres away you have one of the few organic food shops and restaurants of Florence. If you do not feel like cooking, this is an area with plenty of charming little restaurants of all sorts. The world-renown Gelateria Veneta and Vivoli (ice cream shops) are only e few block away.
Possibility to rent a private parking for 25€/day.

Shops of all sorts are only a minute away and on the last week-end of each month the Flea Market is 250 metres away. Yet, the area is very quiet. And if you want to climb on the hill of Piazzale Michelangelo is a 20 minutes walk to get on the top.
Confortable and cosy: The Ugolino golf club with its beautiful swimming pool and tennis is only 15 km (8 miles) away.
The property is very nicely decorated with a lot of art throughout and has three bedrooms all with high end comfortable beds and mattresses, two baths with showers and a large living room. The kitchen is large and fully equipped with fridge, freezer, stove, oven, dishwasher and wash and dry (!) machine. The apartment also has hi speed Internet for your convenience. Great apartment, great location
Our family stayed for five nights at this apartment and loved it. The apartment was cozy, clean and accommodated eight people including three children. The apartment is situated in a very nice residential area with a park/playground within a two minute walking distance. Walking to the Duomo and many other attractions was easy. We would like to thank Guido for providing this apartment for our family. Guido is always easy to contact.
dear Constanze and Mission,
many sincere thanks for taking the time to write such a nice review about my apartment
Comfortable, quiet, spacious, wonderful!
I really loved this flat. There were 4 of us, but could have comfortably had 6. I loved the big kitchen, laundry and comfy beds. My 8 and 10 yr old loved the little attic type room off kitchen with twin beds. The elevator was a nice touch for the luggage. Guido was a great host and has furnished the apartment very thoughtfully. Though I appreciate an espresso, I never got used to a small thimble of coffee; I appreciated the American coffee maker even more! The location was on the edge of the tourist route, but only by an extra 10 minute walk. It took about 20 mins to reach Duomo, but walking down the alley streets with all the shops was enjoyable. I knew going into this that it doesn't have an outside terrace or view, but it's fair trade for a very quiet and comfy place to sleep and reenergize after touring all day. There's a wonderful trattoria or bistro on the same block...wish I could find the name, but it's just around the corner from front door. Delicious Florentine steak, away from tourist traps. I highly recommend this place as part of a wonderful Florentine experience.
Great family apartment
This apartment was perfect for our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenagers). It was within walking distance to everything and had great restaurants near by. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We didn't use the kitchen but it looked adequate. Walking the stairs to the apartment was easy but there was also an elevator if needed. We used it for luggage. We loved Florence and will return, renting this apartment again without hesitation.
many sincere thanks for this nice review.
Quiet apartment with large kitchen
This is a very nice apartment with a large kitchen and sitting room. The washer/dryer is brand new, the refrigerator is full size and the the kitchen offers plenty of space to prepare/serve meals. The apartment is a 15 minute walk from the main attractions of Florence.
dear Ann, many thanks for this nice review.
You won't be disappointed
If you're looking for a great place to stay in Florence, this is it! It is within easy walking distance to everything (or a quick cab ride, if you're tired from all of the walking) and in a quiet part of town. Walking up the stairs was not a big deal and it was nice to come "home" to air conditioning and a quiet apartment. We are a family of 5 (3 teenagers) and there was more than enough space to spread out. We discovered the cute little restaurant around the corner (to the left if you're facing the building) and ended up going back multiple times. Guido could not have been more responsive or helpful! We were 100% satisfied.
many sincere thanks fio this very nice review. Just allow me to add that there is an elevator (as shown in the photos) to the unit so the stairs are just an option but not a must.
thanks again and kind regards
Nice apartment and nice hosts!
Enjoy the stay in Guido and Elena's property very much, Elena is very helpful answering all kinds of questions we have. The location is great, it's away from downtown Florence, but it's very close to several bus stops that can take us to anywhere around Florence, even if we decided to walk it's only take 20 mins to walk to downtown. It's a residential area so you can find great food and nice groceries around, and even very good coffee and ice cream. Our family enjoyed the time we spent in the house. The only minor down side that I would say is the living room not equipped with A/C, so it's kind of hot to sleep in that area. Anyway, will definitely come back again!
many thanks for your nice review.
Please let me say, for the sake of precision, that to the Duomo, downtown, is 0,7 miles if you take the right road and therefore about 10/15 minutes walking. Concerning the air conditioner in the living room, i must say that the 3 air conditioners in the bedroom are much oversized and when they are on, they are perfectly cooling also the living area. As a matter of fact, none of the previous 72 reviews report a problem. Also i would like to add than you have stayed in july 2017 when the hit was at an exceptional 109 Fahrenheit!!! and you had none the less a confortabke sleeping also in the living area. Thanks again and kind regards
