About Tammi Thomas

I am a single Mom with four great kids. This is very much a family business, and we all work together to make sure your stay is perfect. We all enjoy hiking and spending time in Ashford, so after a day of cleaning and maintenance we often end up at the river, or going for a hike/snow shoe depending on the time of year.

We started with one cabin in 2006 and have been adding cabins and remodeling them top to bottom ever since.

Tammi Thomas purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Tammi Thomas chose Mount Rainier

This cabin is great for family gatherings. There is a large yard, so kids can run around. The cabin is private, so if your group is noisy there is no one around to be bothered:). This cabin sits on top of a hill above town, and backs to the woods, so you really feel like you are isolated, but it's only about a 5 minute walk to town for groceries or some ice cream. It's really the perfect location to enjoy yourself while visiting Mt. Rainier. The view of the surrounding mountains is amazing.

What makes this cabin unique

There is a large basement with a second living room so the kids have their own space. Spacious kitchen, and huge dining table with space for a large group.

Great Rental

  • 4 of 5

Tammi has provided everything you could possibly need. The game downstairs game was a big hit with my grandson. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the beds were not great. The flannel sheets were a little unnerving and the bed itself wasn't great. However, don't let that stop you; this was wall worth the money. Thank you Tammi, we'll be back!!

Little Tahoma is a fun family getaway

  • 4 of 5

Our family of five enjoyed our escape to the snow to play here. Sitting in the hot tub in the snow was a blast and won't soon be forgotten. The driveway to the home is pretty rough (ripped the engine cover underneath our minivan off). I don't recommend driving to the top unless you have a higher clearance car (SUV or pickup).

Our kids (and their dad) loved the foosball table and everything we needed seemed to be close at hand. Tammi even took the time to mail some items left behind to our home. Thank you!

Owner's Response: Aaron, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. The driveway is actually perfectly smooth it just had two feet of snow and ice on it during your stay. Any other time the entire route is perfectly accessible, just a smooth, well maintained gravel driveway. Thanks, Tammi

Hiking base camp

  • 4 of 5

The cabin is located close to many area attractions. It was a great get-away for my family and I. My son summited Mt Rainier and the guide service is within walking distance to the cabin. The area has many hiking trails, so the rest of my family went on day hikes and enjoyed coming back each evening to a roomy cabin with plenty of activities to do (hot tube, fire pit, games, grilling, relaxing on the large patio). We even saw a deer eating some wild black berries on the property. We plan to return there again.

Secluded yet easy to access

  • 4 of 5

Had a great time at this cabin. Especially appreciated the grassy yard/clearing where the kids could run around a bit. Also like being able to walk down to the General Store for any last-minute groceries, etc. We will be back!

Great family weekend

  • 5 of 5

Excellent cabin! Great value for the money. So roomy. Plenty of room for 3 couples, a 4 yr old, 1 yr old, and baby. We're already talking about making it a yearly tradition.

An Amazing Stay

  • 5 of 5

Me and my family absolutely loved staying at this cabin. It was an easy drive to the park entrance and it was a great place to come back to after a long snowy hike. We had two elderly people staying at the cabin and it was a great place for them to spend the day when the rest of us went hiking. The cabin offered plenty to do - movies, games, books, a hot tub - all wonderful accessories. The kitchen was fully stocked and we were able to make a big family dinner every night for all seven people. I would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay near the park.
