We enjoyed our stay all was nice a few points the cleaning was not available immediately we had to call also not enough pans to cook and the bbq grill too close to property smell of the propane and cooking
the cottage was clean would be nice to be updated overall a nice experience
Authentic, rustic cape cod cottage which is very hard to find these days. Although rustic, it was very clean and charming. The best part is that you get the best of both worlds with a nice cottage with nice grounds but with two pools, a hot tub, and a sauna that actually works! We were very impressed and happy with it all.
Beach is super close and we biked easily with a family of four (including a seven year old girl). Dennisport is a great location central to everything and the water is very warm.
Kitchen was missing a few key things but the owner was happy to hear of it so he could make sure things were replaced (he explained things slowly disappear and he doesn't always know).
Double bed only in master is a bit of a problem when you are used to queen or king, but just takes getting a bit of use to.
We were very happy with our stay.
This was our second time vacationing on Cape Cod and once again we were not disappointed. This was our first time here at Colonial Village. We stayed at the cottages, and our overall experience was very positive. We were in the Milly PIcher cottage, right next to the indoor pool, so it was a short (very short) walk to use the indoor pool, hot tub and Sauna. Both the pools and hot tub were always immaculate and I can truthfully say that I have been to brand name hotels with pools that were not as clean as these pools were.
The cottage itself was rustic, which is something that we loved and well cleaned. The only complaints that I had was the faint smell of natural gas when first entering the cottage and also in in the bathroom. We remedied the problem by keeping the windows open. I also found the twin bed mattress to be slightly too hard, but that is a personal preference and in no means a negative against the property at all.
The front staff was very friendly and helpful, so kudos to them, especially at such a busy time when there were all those weddings going on.
Over all we loved our time at the Cape and if given a chance, we would stay at the COlonial Village again.
Overall, we enjoyed ourselves immensely and if given a chance will return again.
This place is classic Cape Cod. Beautifully maintained and operated, it boasts the cleanest cottages on the Cape, meticulously kept grounds, crystal clear pools, and a minutes walk to the warmest water and sandiest beaches in New England. My family has been staying here for 30 + years, and will continue to do so.
No pets, kennels near by.
