Overview

Winter Park Area Townhome Rental Photos and Description

Townhome, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 4 Baths, (Sleeps 8-12)

This 4 bedroom, 4 bath townhome is located at the top of Winter Park Ranch, giving it some of the best views in town! It is on the bus route to Winter Park Ski Area and not far from Ski Granby Ranch. The idlewild trail system is right out the back of the neighborhood, so the location couldn't be better for snowshoeing, cross country skiing, hiking and biking. There's a hot tub, game room with darts and foosball table and multiple living rooms. There's a Wii with big brain challenge, sports, play and family game night. For the summer, there is a great yard with two sets of horseshoe pits, ladder golf and washers and a grill for great BBQs. The Pole Creek, Granby Ranch and Headwaters golf courses are a short drive away. The Headwaters of the Colorado river provides great fishing, as do Lake Granby, Shadow Mountain and Grand Lakes. There is also great deer and elk hunting in Grand County, with an owner willing to point you to the sweet spots.

There is a new organic cotton King bed in a spacious master with a sitting area and desk. The master has it's own deck with unbelievable views of Byers Peak. 2 Queens and a full plus a day bed with trundle makes room for 12. 13 if you count the crib that is provided. The kitchen has service for 16 and everything a gourmet cook could need. There is Directv with all the movie channels, NFL Sunday Ticket and a couple big screen tv's. High Speed Wireless internet . On the Fraser moose migratory route!

The second living room in the basement has a large sectional and a big flat screen with a Wii. Shared hot tub.

Wonderful Place! Enjoyed hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. Saw all sorts of critters and had a great time on the alpine slide at Winter Park. Alda

Moose Crossing Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We found Moose Crossing exactly as advertised. It is a very comfortable unit with lots of space for family and friends to gather. The beds were very comfortable with nice linens and great towels. The unit was clean and well stocked with supplies. Mike was very friendly and easily assessable. We would definitely come back again.

Convenient, spacious and great for a weekend getaway

  • 4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience staying in Moose Crossing during our 4th of July weekend gathering with friends. Enough rooms to accommodate the group and plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the property. The backyard is by far the highlight feature of this property offering horse shoes and plenty of room for yard games and other group activities.

I would highly recommend this place for a small gathering for family or friends.

Moose Crossing Experience

  • 5 of 5

Mike,

We loved staying at your place and the grand kids really loved the horse shoe pit, games, hot tub, seeing the bull moose go around the house on Sunday morning, and all of the TVs and bathrooms in the facility. The towels in the bathroom were resort quality and the beds were great and a very well stocked kitchen. During the summer it would be great to have a screen door on the master bedroom door to the deck to allow for outside air during the warmer evenings as the windows are fixed. The other bedrooms have windows that open which helps for the ventilation. The basement sliding screen on the door probably needs to be replaced at some point as it sticks in the frame. These are small things but your place was great and these items will help future stays. Look forward in staying in your place again. Thanks.

Owner's Response: Les, thanks for the input. I ordered a new slider for the basement today and should have a screen door on the master by the next weekend. Sorry about that and I hope to see you at the Moose Crossing again, Mike

Many things we liked about this property.

  • 5 of 5

We shared this home with several of our extended family members. There were many things we liked about this property. First of all, Mike was a pleasure to work with and was prompt with any concerns we had and we even met him on the last day of our stay. This home is in a beautiful area, just five minutes away from a Safeway and is surrounded by trees and mountains - wonderful setting. My husband and I read reviews to a fault when choosing a property to stay in, so I want to lay out some things that may help future renters to see if this is a place for them. I'll do the con first since there is basically only one. There are quite a few stairs in the home. You initially walk up 7 stairs on the outside. You also can walk around the side of the home to the back yard and come in the basement with zero stairs. Once you get up these stairs there is the kitchen, the living room area with a large tv and lots of seating, a deck, a bathroom and a queen size bedroom. It was nice that all of this was up only 7 stairs. I had an unexpected knee injury right before we came - so it made it challenging. To get to the downstairs there are, I believe, 14 stairs from the main level, and the same is true with the upstairs. That being said, the downstairs was very nice!! My husband and I took the downstairs bedroom and one of our sons took the day bed in the downstairs living room. There is PLENTY of room to spread out. The downstairs bed was the most comfy bed I've slept in for quite a while. The washer/dryer and a 3/4 bath are downstairs, as is a large TV, wii system, and large couch for all to enjoy. It also leads to the back yard where my family and I played games that were provided and took advantage of the hot tub. Mike seemed to spare no expense with thick & heavy towels and new pillows. The home was warmly heated - we didn't have to worry at all about being too cold. We did have a plumbing issue - but it didn't dampen our stay and Mike was very attentive to any needs we had. This is NOT a brand new home - but it IS a very COMFORTABLE AND VERY clean home. The upstairs is also spacious and comfortable. While, the stairs were an issue FOR US - that's how you get the tremendous views we had too. We would stay in this home again - baring any other knee injuries - but honestly - even with the stairs issue -we enjoyed ourselves. We would recommend this home.

A beautiful location and a very comfortable place to stay

  • 5 of 5

The kitchen had plenty of supplies for cooking and serving. There were plenty of rooms so everyone could spread out and have their own space. When the snow came in hard, Mike helped push the car out so we could get to the slopes.

Great Location, Space and Views!

  • 5 of 5

We were pleasantly surprised with the many upgrades at the Moose Crossing when we arrived. Mike had replaced a lot of the furniture and it was much nicer than the photos we viewed when booking the unit. He had a leather sofa, over-sized couch, new bedding and beds (or at least it seemed.) Even the towels were brand new, very heavy and great. Oh.. And he had flatscreen TVs everywhere. Rooms and living rooms.

The unit accommodated our large group perfectly. With 3 levels, everyone had their own space. The main level and walk-out basement both had large living rooms with plenty of seating. We sent the kids down stairs ;)

Mike was more than accommodating. We will be back.

Stays that are longer than 7 nights and include two weekends do not get the average nightly rate applied. The second weekend would be the weekend rate added to the weekly rate. VRBO doesn't allow me to uncheck that average rate beyond 7 nights.
