Best-At-The-Sea – California Dreamin’ – One House to Ocean

Located at the quiet end of the Golden Peninsula, (but close to all the activity), with its separate and private entrance on a beautiful tree-lined walk street, with open views to the golden sand beach, you simply cannot find a better location to spend your well-deserved vacation. Swim, sunbathe, take long beach walks at sunset, bike rides, boogie board, bodysurf, kayak, fish - your choice - it’s all right here. Or just relax on the serene deck while absorbing the beauty surrounding this romantic, enchanting get-away for two.

This 2-story 1 bedroom Loft home was designed for light and for having an outdoor feeling. The entire front side is glassed. The unit includes hard wood floors, an electric fireplace, and contemporary living space.

With its art deco flair and light flooding into every room, this vacation rental is fully stocked with everything one could want or need. For those who wish to dine elegantly at home, the gourmet kitchen is equipped with all new stainless steel appliances and also includes spices, cooking oils, and a pantry of condiments. Use the gas BBQ for that “at-the-beach/on-vacation” ambience. All you need to do is supply your favorite fresh foods and drinks. A fireplace adds to the romantic touch.

A 5-minute drive brings you to shopping in Marina Del Rey and Venice Beach. Santa Monica is next door. Visit the nearby farmers markets or enjoy eating Italian, Mexican, Thai, seafood, pizza or local dishes in quaint Marina Del Rey, Venice Beach and Santa Monica.

If you wish to keep in touch with the world outside, we provide wireless and wired high-speed broadband Internet (printer connection is USB only) and a 46” flat screen TV. For your recreation pleasure, there are 2 bikes, 2 boogie boards, and beach towels.

Why Noi or Jamie chose Los Angeles

The location is very close to the Airport. Yet it is along the ocean, at the very quiet end of the Marina Peninsula, on a serene walk street on a corner lot. The building is open, light & airy.

Bicycle on the Sand to Venice Beach Boardwalk, Farmer Markets, restaurants, etc... Boogieboard, swim, walk & relax on the serene part of the Beach. Two bicycles are provided with the rental. One reserved parking space comes with Best-at-the-Sea.

My husband and I has such a wonderful time here. It was all so centrally located. We visited Venice Beach, Disneyland, Dodgers game.

This was a great place to relax and unwind from our busy schedules. We enjoyed sitting out and drinking wine.

This place had everything and more!!

My husband and I are both cat people. We enjoyed our daily visits with 'Bella', our rental cat. We will miss everything about this place.

Excellent stay - wonderful location, beautiful :)

We spent a wonderful week in Marina del Rey! The home is wonderful and has excellent EVERYTHING. The furniture, the tv, the china/silver/crystal, the bed linens, the bikes - all was wonderful. This home met and BEAT every expectation I had. They thought of everything. From every kind of cooking utensil, to every kind of bath item. The space was quiet and peaceful. The parking is great and we loved the location - close to the ocean, and close to the main canal, mother's beach, the Venice canals. It is an easy ride up to Venice Beach proper and the Santa Monica pier. Whether you stay and relax inside or on the porch, or go into town or the beach. This home can not be beat. We had a wonderful time. Thank you again Noi and Jacqui.

Comfort by the Sea

Best-at-the-Sea in Marina Del Rey contained everything essential with unanticipated bonuses. Comfortable bed and couches made the visit more pleasurable than a Hotel in the neighborhood. Family was able to come and visit. We were able to serve food and wine on nice plates, silverware and glassware. Everything was clean and well laid out for a long or short stay at the beach.

The extras made the stay memorable. Our first bonus was that Noi and Jacqui think of little items. We arrived by plane and found nice shampoo and bodywash in the shower. Coffee and a bottle of wine were in the fridge and a bowl of fresh fruit on the counter (thank you). Things like condiments, spices, dish soap, and a new sponge in the kitchen. They even included a customer card for Ralphs, the local grocery store. Sometimes it’s these little things that make a vacation easy.

The luxuries included the bikes, beach towels and chairs, and in that neighborhood, the free parking. You can park your car and ride or walk to many fun eateries in the vicinity. One of the memorable bonuses for us was that Wednesday nights and the weekend had sailboat races off the coast. We sat out on the deck with a bottle of wine and watched the start line.

Thank you both for a lovely stay. We will definitely come again.

Location was great for beach vacay but wait until construction ends

I would give this a five except that the owner did not inform us that there would be construction noise from 7-5pm. We booked Best-At-The-Sea for an anniversary trip because we wanted to be near the beach. The location is great with views of the beach from the front patio and the owners thought of everything: beach chairs, bikes, cooler. The apartment was spotless and very well equipped. It was the perfect rental for a getaway except that construction noise started at 7a.m. and did not stop until 5p.m. That meant there were no lazy mornings of sleeping in or afternoon siestas. We felt that Jacqui should have conveyed this to us before the rental or at least offered a discount. Her response to my complaint was that the new construction is a Frank Gerhy design. Great for her but meaningless for us since we were not able to enjoy the peace and quiet that we paid for.

Very nice house by the ocean

My husband and I stayed at your house for 7 days. What a wonderful place to stay, away from the hustle and bustle of LA. We took walks on the Pier every morning and evening (the sunsets were wonderful) and then sat out on the deck with a glass of wine each evening too. The house has everything you could want. We really enjoyed staying at your home and if we do come back to LA, we will certainly book this home again.
