We had a great time. The place was just what we wanted. One suggestion wolujld be to make it more obvious in the pictures that there is a staircase to the lake. In the pictures it was unclear if it was level with the lawn. Also, if you ever want to sell the boat picture I love it (same with the camp!). We loved the place and will definitely come back, thank you. You provided everything we needed for a warm, cozy weekend.
I stayed for the holiday weekend and it was warm and toasty. House is in a great location and all needed amenities are provided for. We went to the Timeless Tavern for dinner. We loved the master bedroom balcony which looks out in the lake.
A nice touch was having two window A/C units. We didn't need them most days, but they were great the one night it was really hot and humid. As it was throughout the lake, the dock was an adventure to launch kayaks as the water is immediately deep, so keep your life vest on.
We rented this house last minute for a 4 night stay over July 4th weekend. The owner Bryan is extremely accommodating and even followed up to see if we enjoyed our time there. The second story deck and down at the dock is where we spent most of our time. The only negative thing I would have to say about our weekend is how close the camp is to the neighbors and we felt like they were watching our every move.
On the plus side the house is on a quiet road and less than 5 minutes to Stewart's and the grocery store! We would definitely go back again!
The websites description of the property was accurate and the pictures placed on the website matched the house. The property was clean but a little rundown, but it was basically loved and used a lot by this family. We did not see the owner, but there were no issues so privacy was nice. The neighbors are very close, but so quiet you would not even know that people lived on both sides of the property. I would recommend this property to friends and neighbors in a pinch and only in the summer months. Some friends from NYC came up to experience ice fishing and had a blast!! The only thing really disappointing was the price/ too expensive / but we needed a place and this worked in a pinch.
We had a lovely long weekend visit - it was very cold outside but inside was warm and cozy with the propane fireplace doing much of the work. The home is lovely - a great layout with a good sized kitchen and comfortable beds.
Thanks for having us!
The cozy camp is the perfect retreat for all seasons! We enjoyed our stay in November and loved the light snowfall over the beautiful Great Sacandaga Lake as well as visiting the quaint town of Northville. We look forward to vising again in the future!
