About Cherie Pattishall

Cherie grew up in South Tampa and always had a love for the beach. Traveling the 20 or so miles to the beach every weekend when she was attending Plant High School. Eventually she moved to Madeira Beach where she also owns a real estate brokerage Engel & Völkers Madeira Beach. Finest Real Estate Worldwide!

Cherie Pattishall purchased this cottage in 1996

Why Cherie Pattishall chose Madeira Beach

I purchased this property from the long-time owner because I just love the classic beach cottages. I promised her that I would keep the integrity of the cottage, and not tear it down for a new home to be built. The bonus is the wonderful location. The Cottage by the Pass is the epitome of living the beach life.

What makes this cottage unique

Cottage by the Pass offers an opportunity to enjoy a visit to the Gulf coast while staying in a classic beach cottage. There are so few opportunities to enjoy our area the way 'used to be'. This comfortable cottage is located in the heart of it all - easy beach access, John's Pass Village, walk to restuarants, etc.

So convenient- so comfortable - so happy

  • 5 of 5

I’ll never rent a hotel or condo on the beach again .

Beds are very comfortable and conveniences like parking next to the door to the kitchen makes life easy . Will definitely stay here again !

Owner's Response: I'm so happy that you were so happy! I'm glad you enjoyed your visit and made note of how much nicer it is to stay in a great cottage instead of some regular hotel room. I hope you'll come back to the cottage again soon.

My daughter and I loved the charm of home. We were steps away from ocean/entertainment. Loved BR/kit

  • 5 of 5

Loved the kitchen and bathrooms. It was sparkling clean everywhere. We ate a meal under the umbrella in the fenced garden in front. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The kitchen is exactly what I would love to have at home. If you love having folks at an island or cooking together you will love it. The ocean was so beautiful. I really enjoyed communicating with the owner. She is a lively person. She wants folks to really enjoy her home. She is very fast to communicate. I loved, loved it. Robin

Very enjoyable week

  • 4 of 5

The Cottage on the Pass is a great getaway! Close to the beach and across the street from Johns Pass. Once there, we never had to drive our car. The cottage is very clean and mostly comfortable, the memory foam bed was good, but could be higher off the floor to accommodate the elderly better. The air conditioning units in the bedroom were noisy as well. Our one rainy afternoon was somewhat boring as there is limited direct tv stations, a DVD player- but no movies, and no board games. We loved the kitchen which provided everything you would need, washer and dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator at first would not get cold, but seemed to get better during the week. This was our second time staying and would definitely book again! A sweet little place!

Owner's Response: Thank you for letting other know about your visit to the Cottage by the Pass. I'm so happy you came back for a second visit. Also, thank you for letting me know about the air conditioner. I've already addressed the issue. Also, there are now some board games to help out on a rainy day.

Nicely Situated Unique Beach Bungalow

  • 5 of 5

I received plenty of kudos from my family for securing the bottom floor of this delightful vacation rental home. Its location is impressive, and I believe that the bungalow is situated on one of the best sites in Madeira Beach. My family and I enjoyed easy access to John’s Pass Village, and we loved the fact that the entrance to the boardwalk was right across the street. For the few times we needed to get around town by car, upon returning, parking was made easy since the assigned space is located right next to the home’s entrance. This made it convenient to unload and load luggage, groceries, etc. Also, the layout of this home is terrific since the bedrooms are a good distance from the kitchen. This is nice for early risers like me who don’t want to disturb those who are sleeping. The first day we arrived, we had a couple of questions for management, and the response was prompt. I’ll definitely rent this bungalow again should I return to Madeira Beach, FL. Thanks so much Cherie!

LOVE it! Third time staying at the cottage

  • 5 of 5

This is our third time staying at the cottage and we have already booked it for our vacation for next year. The place is just perfect in so many ways with it's decor, cleanliness, being well stocked with everything you need and within steps to John's Pass and the beach. The owner is quick to respond and it is obvious they take pride in making sure everything is perfect.
