This charming house is located a scenic 10 minute stroll down to Perkins Cove. The cottage offers kitchen with butcher block counter top, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, and dining area. Living room with stone fireplace on the first floor, as well as, a half bath. The 2nd floor has 2 bedrooms and one full bath. The master bedroom has a queen bed and day bed. The other bedroom has 2 twin beds with trundle. The garage has partially been converted to an awesome bonus room, "bunk house" as we call it. Another great place to hang out watch movies, play a game or just to get away from it all and read a book. The large yard is a wonderful place to relax, enjoy a backyard game, or stories around the fire pit to top off your day. There is also an outdoor hot/cold shower in the yard. There is plenty of off street parking as well. It is a classic old style Maine cottage but with modern conveniences. Convenient to Ogunquit and York Beaches.

I have been coming to Maine since I was a child and still love Ogunquit Beach and the whole area.I love sitting on the rocks behind the nearby art museum and watching the crashing surf on the rocks.
Peter Kelly purchased this cottage in 2007
I rode by the old cottage on my bike countless number of times and wanted to save it from being torn down. The plan was to put a 'McMansion' in its place. The house has a great warm feeling inside that cannot be duplicated in newer homes.
I love sitting by the fireplace or in the yard by the fire pit. I like looking at the meadow as the sun sets to the west. The sound of the the ocean from the rear yard when there is a storm at sea is enoyable. I like sitting in the kitchen and watching joggers and bikers passing down the winding country road. The old fashioned glider out back is popular as well. There is plenty of parking at the cottage and the house is walkable to all.
Everything you read about this cottage is true. It was a pleasant week in a well equipped cottage. If you are looking for a quite close to the beach house for your vacation this is it
Our family spent a week at the cottage early August. We really loved it as it really had this typical old Maine charm. The garden was amazing and our kids really enjoyed themselves running around. In terms of going to the beach, we opted for a daily walk down the Marginal path to Ogunquit. Coming back, we would take the trolley which is quite regular (every 20min). Perkins Cove is great for restaurants, ice creams, the port etc. We recommend the Footbridge Lobster for a generous portion of lobster in your roll! A great holiday in a great location. We would definitely rent the cottage again.
My family stayed at the cottage this past July and had a great time in the area. The house is closer to Ogunquit beach but York Beach is only 3 miles up Shore Road so we tried both. We took walks down to Perkins Cove for dinner and Ice Cream while we watched the fishing boats unload their catch. The house is clean and well equipped and our favorite part of staying here was the large yard. The kids liked swinging on the hammock and tree swing while I flippped burgers on the grill. My wife loved the wifi to keep up with her activities back home. All and all a great time.
Everything very close to house but off the beat and path.
