One of the second floor bedrooms is equipped with two Full-beds, accommodating four people (great for kids!); the other second floor bedroom has a Queen-sized bed. There are curtain and/or shades on all bedroom windows, and ceiling fans in every room.
Outdoor Space: There is a fabulous back deck with adjacent out-door shower, and a large back yard for outdoor games. The house is equipped with outdoor seating, a Weber Grill, and beach toys (please leave them with the house!)

The Bike Trail is accessible at the end of Old County Road and the WHAT Theater is a short walk away.
New for 2016: A Keurig has been added to the Kitchen for all the coffee lovers! Paint and touch up has been done throughout to keep the home fresh and new! New comforters equip all of the second floor beds, there are new pillows throughout, and a new couch in the living room. The DVD player has been replaced and upgraded. The grill is similarly upgraded, although not brand new (moved from another property).
Wellfleet is an incredible place to visit year round, so please inquire with the owners with regards to any special activities that may be occurring during your visit.
Strong-willed (READ: type A) couple with entrepreneurial souls, but aiming to effect positive change within the constraints of 'corporate'; happily married with four beautiful daughters and three incredible dogs (all with boundless energy). We love to travel and I have seen the world. Our next destinations include St. Croix, Spain, and Scotland.
We are super clean, organized, and a respectful guest; as hosts we aim to be the epitome of hospitable, but want to continuously improve our service offering at the homes we rent!
We are here to be a vessel of positive and lasting change in this world.
Erica & Leo Wagner purchased this house in 2014
I have visited Wellfleet since I was young and fell in love with the culture of the community.
Wellfleet is unique in that it has an adorable town center, a socially active Pier with ongoing activities, and boasts the East Costs 'best' beaches. This triad of benefits is a rare find.
We enjoyed a lovely week at the Genesis in mid-September. Having never rented in the Cape before, we looked at a number of different areas and landed on Wellfleet due to the beaches and great reviews from friends. We have two labrador retrievers who are a huge part of our family and therefore we needed to find a dog-friendly home. I looked at a LOT of properties and found so many that looked incredibly worn, old and not well maintained. The Genesis fit the bill, as it is a newer built home and had comfortable, well maintained fur tires and finishings.
Overall, the property met our expectations and the we found Erica to be extremely wonderful to work with from booking through our stay. We had a couple small things come up (cable/internet issues, no fault of the owner and outdoor hose) that were addressed extremely quickly.
The only recommendations we would offer would be a path to the front door and better maintenance of the outdoor property. A fence would be a big investment, but an awesome feature for four-legged family owners too!!
You will not be disappointed by a stay at the Genesis!!!
Great vacation home. Conveniently close to the most beautiful beaches and a short hop to Provincetown. The kitchen area is well laid out and easy to use. The bathrooms are a good size and very clean. We all slept well. The garage is a bonus. Highly recommended.
This recently constructed house was perfect for our extended family of 7. The grandkids particularly loved the location within a short driving distance to Wellfleet's ponds. Adults enjoyed the excellent layout and modern feel of the house, as well as the tasteful furnishings and immaculate condition. The yard is spacious although rocky and not landscaped; very natural Cape Cod feel. The house is centrally air conditioned, which was an incredible and rare feature of a rental. We were always comfortable. A few small issues detracted (could have used one more comfortable chair in the living area, lightbulbs out, poison ivy in the front, outdoor shower was broken the first couple of days of our stay) but they were taken care of immediately when we notified the lovely owners. All in all, a very pleasant stay in magnificent Cape Cod.
This house is fantastic. Spacious, modern, comfortable and perfectly located if you don't mind the rumble of Route 6 in the background. The noise is not loud so one can sleep soundly at night, but it is there. Be aware of this if you are looking for an away-from-it-all/super quiet experience. Beaches abound, the Rail Trail is not far, and PJ's Family restaurant is around the corner. Erica is a friendly and very responsive host.
[two little things that could be improved: 1)my son got poison ivy walking around the house, pretty close too - managing the weeds would be a good idea. 2) The bedrooms upstairs are super bright and we woke up with the sun. Thicker shades would have been a bonus.]
Overall we had a great time and would definitely stay there again if/when we return to the Cape.
A couple friends, my father in-law, my husband and myself stayed at this property in Wellfleet over Memorial Day weekend. It was the perfect base camp for our holiday weekend! The house was amazing, a nice size with large bedrooms, a comfortable living room, dining table for 6-8, grill, patio. Great kitchen fully equipped for cooking. Our little dog was even welcome to stay and had a blast walking around the yard. There was a slight mix up with the people renting it prior to us, and the host stopped by at the drop of a dime with fresh towels and prosecco. Amazing hosts! Our friends had family staying in different airbnbs and they were so disappointed by their stays they couldn't wait to get out of the cape. Pictures of the Genesis are an actual representation of what you'll get. Be sure to book early because this one is sure to fill up quickly.
My son, daughter, son-in-law, 2 grandchildren and myself just spent a lovely weekend at Erica and Leo's home. It was exactly as the pictures on Home Away portrayed. We loved the open floor plan and all the windows make it bright and cheerful. Their home was clean and very comfortable. We would definitely stay at this home again.
'The Genesis' is perfectly located on the ocean side, a block off route six, and walking distance to nearby Duck Pond. This three-bedroom, 2 bathroom home is situated in a quiet neighborhood on a dead-end street. There is proximity to all of the most desirable amenities in Wellfleet. The Pier, WHAT Theater, the center of town, and Cahoon Hollow Beach are all within 1-2 miles of the home. The Cinema, the famous Flea Market, Mini golf, and the Auduban, are less than 5 miles away. Galleries, Restaurants, the town Library, and a plethora of outdoor activities (golf, bike trail, tennis) are easily accessed from our home (0.1-3 miles).
Our favorite destinations outside of town, and only a short drive away, include the Whale Watches in Provincetown, the Truro Vineyards, and First Encounter Beach in Eastham, MA.
