With a perfect mixture of genuine antiques and modern amenities, CreekFalls Lodge welcomes you for what is certain to be a memorable relaxing escape. With something for everyone, this vacation home is the perfect destination for your family vacation or reunion with friends. It’s guaranteed you will have a hard time tearing yourself away when it's time to leave.
This custom built lodge features a well-equipped kitchen at the heart of the main floor, with both an island and a bar for cooking and gathering. The adjacent dining room opens up onto an expansive deck with a grill, rocking chairs and outdoor dining; convenient to both the kitchen and the beauty of nature overlooking the flowing creek. Also on the main floor is the great room with comfortable seating, a flat screen TV and a perfect view of the wood-burning fireplace which is surrounded from floor to vaulted ceiling with authentic river rock. A second screened in porch awaits on this same level with an outdoor fireplace and a six-person hot tub where you can soak away the stress of everyday life or any weary muscles you gain while on your mountain adventures.
CreekFalls Lodge has three bedrooms and three full spacious baths, with a king in the master, one queen on the main, and a custom built bunk bed in the basement with a queen on the bottom and an extra-long twin on top. There is a day bed in the loft with a twin trundle (two twins total) and a small loveseat in the great room that pulls out to another bed. In addition, there's a screened in sleeping porch with entrances from both the master and the loft. The sleeping porch has two queen size futons for tree house slumber while listening to the sounds of the rushing creek below. You and your guests will have no problem finding a place to rest after hiking, fishing and shopping through the North Georgia Mountains.
The basement of the lodge is comfortably outfitted for fun and entertaining. You will find a large entertainment center with flat screen television and surround sound, a billiards table, a massive wooden bar and a card table which easily converts to a bumper pool table. There are numerous board games, puzzles, card games and even a cornhole set you can play just outside the door. Oh, and let’s not forget… another deck. There are 3,000 square feet of decks overlooking the creek and the lower level is no exception. Chat with your friends and family in the comfortable seating area, relax on the porch swing, or enjoy a cold beverage at the rustic high-top table while the creek provides a soundtrack for your senses.
Though the surrounding area has miles of trails to hike, bike, kayak and explore; the lodge itself is set on 2.5 private acres of beautiful wilderness. There is plenty of flat land along our beautiful Anderson Creek to explore. Sit in the Adirondack chairs around the firepit and listen to the music of the creek, or take a dip to cool off and allow yourself to relax and be mesmerized by one of the many beautiful mini waterfalls along the creek. You'll discover quickly why the lodge is named 'CreekFalls.'
CreekFalls Lodge is conveniently located between downtown Ellijay and Blue Ridge’s Aska adventure area. Within an 8 mile radius are the famous Ellijay’s Apple Orchards, kayaking the Cartecay River, canoeing or rafting the Toccoa River, wine tasting at the Cartecay Vineyards, an easy hike to the Toccoa River swinging bridge on the Benton Mackay trail, a wonderful loop hike on the Appalachian/Benton McKay trails at Springer Mountain (one of the owners' favorites), fly-fishing, tubing, plus many more activities to choose. If you love shopping you won't want to miss the mixture of quaint, antique and modern shops and art galleries in Ellijay, nearby Dahlonega and Blue Ridge, or even the Outlet shopping in Dawsonville. Ellijay is the mountain bike capital of Georgia, and it would be a shame to leave your bike at home. For you roadies, you will enjoy the beautiful views, twists and turns along Big Creek, Doublehead Gap and Aska roads. You'll even find the beautiful Amicalola Falls State Park about 30 minutes away. The cabin is stocked with books and maps to help you find all of these areas very easily.

Enjoy your stay. You deserve the best!
We are like many of you, very busy professional 'worker bees' who need more time for a relaxing getaway than we allow ourselves. With a passion for the outdoors and adventuresome spirits, we just can't get enough of North Georgia. Things we do when visiting CreekFalls Lodge: Hiking the nearby Appalachian Trail, kayaking the Cartecay and Coosawattee Rivers, fishing in the Toccoa, shopping in Blue Ridge and Ellijay, discovering the many waterfalls in the area, wine tasting at Cartecay Vineyards, visiting R&A orchards and seeing what our favorite youngest owner is up to next (you will know when you see him), lying back on the driveway and viewing the brightest night sky we don't see anywhere else, relaxing in the hot tub next to the outdoor fireplace, enjoying the fire pit by the creek or simply reading a book on one of the beautiful decks.
Jackie Vaughn & Ruth Meyer purchased this cabin in 2012
We searched high and low for our perfect second home and your perfect vacation spot. CreekFalls Lodge has everything we wanted and a whole lot more. The first requirement was that when walking out the door of our lodge, we wanted to feel as if we had just stepped out of our tent to a beautiful creekside campsite. Privacy, natural beauty, and serenity were not compromises. We found all of this plus many luxury amenities within the lodge and the five decks. And all of this being only 20 minutes from Ellijay and 30 minutes from Blue Ridge. It really doesn't get any better than this.

The cabin provided everything a family needed to enjoy quality time together. It was in close proximity to several places to visit. Our family enjoyed playing pool, games, cooking together, relaxing by the fireplace and in the hot tub. We never made it down to the fire pit/creek due to the cold temperatures and the fact that a fire ban was in effect, however it looked very inviting.
Jackie and Ruth have a great eye and have spared no expense to decorate and furnish this wonderful cabin in the mountains.
The overall look, feel, and comfort of the property is amazing. The house inside was all up to date. The house was big yet had the cozy feeling that makes you want to huddle up together at night. The outside was beautiful as well, with a flowing stream and lots of beautiful trees. The only downside was that there were houses too close to the property, but overall i give this property a 5/5 and would definitely repeat.
Enjoyed the area, the view, and the hot tub. Only problems that we had were not being able to watch movies and that the well water was a little brown due to drought. No movie channels, not Netflix, no payperview, and no instructions on how to switch from TV to DVD. There is only TV in one bedroom. We did not come to watch TV all day though so all in all it was ok.
Somewhere on the CreekFalls Lodge property is a small crafted sign that simply reads “Heaven on Earth.” Our holiday was a long overdue Father/Daughter get-a-way and in every way the log cabin in the woods was perfect.
When you first open the door you can tell Jackie and Ruth have a loving touch when you step into another world. All of the furniture is either handmade or a genuine antique. We felt honored to be entrusted with their care. Everywhere you turn is a surprise. A total escape.
The house is a top-of-the-line prefab log cabin with knotty pine interiors with a smooth and comfortable traffic flow it is easy to forget just how big of a cottage this is. We spent 5 days and only left once to pick up a few forgotten things and dump our garbage at the local recycling station. Hiking trails abound, and babbling brook can be heard throughout the house and property. The fire pit is a superior touch in the evenings with the evening’s aperitif. And a cleansing Georgia rain on the metal roof will lull you into a new level of relaxation.
The cabin is loaded with cooking apparel, a very well appointed kitchen and an ample size grill on the deck. Whatever you choose to make [from pancakes to steaks] will taste better in the cool mountain air for a couple to a family reunion.
You can bet we will be back. And we have already recommended CreekFalls Lodge to all our friends. Do not hesitate to drink in this bit of “Heaven on Earth.”
Beautiful cabin filled with so many special touches. Huge wooded backyard is amazing and my kids spent hours exploring it. Owners were extremely responsive when we needed to get in touch with them. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!!
CreekFalls Lodge is located between the exciting Aska Adventure Area and the famous Ellijay Apple Orchards. We recommend checking out R&A Orchards at any time of the year, not only for their amazing varieties of apples, but for their delicious Apple Cider and Apple Bread. For those of you adventurous types, try tubing, kayaking or canoeing down the Cartecay and Toccoa Rivers, only minutes away.
