Everything we were hoping for and more!!
A beautiful, well-equipped house, inside and out. A wonderful place for our family. Full of amenities. Just a very relaxing and enjoyable environment. From waking to a view of the ocean in the morning to relaxing with a cup of coffee on the deck in the morning to grilling the evening meal on the outdoor grill while you watch the waves to soaking in the hot tub at night. You can’t ask for more. The house even comes with beach chairs, beach toys, and a bar with a wine cooler.
To top it all the owner are easy to work with, well organized, and very gracious hosts. We thank them for share this great home with our family.
A wonderful week with family and friends
Our company of 8 adults and 2 kids had a wonderful week in this house and on the beach. The view of the ocean from the top floor and the deck is excellent. We also enjoyed the hot tub and a very nice, shaded by the trees, area around it. Well equipped kitchen. The house is spacious and comfortable, with each bedroom having its own bathroom. Various small things provided by the hosts such as beach chairs, laundry detergent, a clothes rope (to dry wet swimming suites after going to the beach) made our stay comfortable and stress-free. And, lastly, viewing the sunset from a point suggested by the hosts is highly recommended!
This was the best vacation ever! House is absolutely gorgeous!
Beautiful and Well-Appointed Home
First of all, this home is just lovely. I had missed the fact that it has an elevator and will now keep it in mind as a spot to bring my elderly parents. The house is equipped with anything you could need. Very comfortable! We were the first guests for the new beach season and bumped into a few little maintenance items, and Janice was very responsive! I would highly recommend this home as a nice place for a family get-away.
Lovely, well-kept house that met all of our needs! We would definitely return!!
Our large multi-generational family did not feel crowded in this spacious home! There was dinner seating to spare, which was a rarity in our prior beach rentals. Every need was met! There were plenty of beach chairs, a well-functioning grill, clean spa-like outdoor hot tub, spacious living space, and a well-stocked kitchen. The owners thought of everything. We will definitely return!!
Absolutely loved it!
This home is beautiful and the pictures really don't show how wonderful this home is. It is huge. The rooms are so much bigger in person. We had 9 of us staying here and it was plenty big enough. The owners were pleasant to deal with and were quick to respond to any questions we had. The area where the hot tub is, was designed well and really gave a feeling of peace and privacy. The kitchen is well stocked to make meals and there was an extra tank of propane for the grill which was convenient when we ran out the second time we used it. We were able to see dolphins swim by while standing in the dining room looking out to the water. On most days we had the beach to ourselves and even when there were other people on the beach it wasn't crowded. We made some wonderful memories with our family and would highly recommend this house for your vacation! Thank you Janice and Jack for sharing your home with us!
If you choose to venture farther than your comfy beach chair, you'll discover plenty of activities and attractions on Bogue Banks within a few minutes drive. On the eastern tip of the island (about 10 minutes drive) stands Fort Macon, a restored and newly-refurbished pre-Civil War fortress, the most-visited State park in North Carolina. Also nearby you'll discover the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, located about two miles down the road in the Roosevelt Natural Area. If you drive west, you will encounter the small fishing villages of Salter Path and Indian Beach and at the far western end of the island, the community of Emerald Isle. Salter Path, just a few miles west has Professor Hacker's miniature golf, go cart track and bumper boats. Indian Beach, about 4 miles west has jet ski and kayak rentals.
