About the property

Oceanfront 4BD/4.5BA Beacon's Reach home. Private boardwalk to spacious beach

New to the rental market in 2014, this comfortable oceanfront home awaits you in the secluded sea to sound community of Beacon's Reach. It is a wonderful gathering place for family and friends. Many lifetime memories will be made here, and we invite you to join in the fun! Just steps down the private boardwalk from your back door, the beach invites you to stroll, swim, fish and sunbathe. Enjoy morning coffee watching dolphins and shorebirds from your private deck. Here barefoot is best, with sandy toes, and doing nothing is okay. Relax by walking the beach, sunbathing, gathering shells and end the perfect day as you listen to the sound of the ocean lull you to sleep. For the 2015 season we have added a six (6) seat hot tub and new ground level entertainment deck.

This three-level 3,500 square foot home welcomes guests of all ages, it was designed to be a family home so is both kid and adult friendly. The elevator provides easy access for older or handicapped persons and is a blessing when moving in. The large kitchen and eating area have ocean views as does the upstairs master bedroom and spacious family gathering room. There is plenty of space for folks to cook or just hang out at the gorgeous bar and lots of places for children and young adults to play without being underfoot. The family room has a 51' flat screen and all four bedrooms have either a 32' or 46'. There is a roomy outside deck with a large teak dining table and a gas grill. The end of the boardwalk finds you at the oceanside deck and several steps to the quiet beach, where you will find the perfect place to simply enjoy the beauty of the seashore.

If you choose to venture farther than your beach chair you'll discover plenty of activities and attractions on Bogue Banks, all within a few minutes drive. If you head straight east through Pine Knoll Shores, on the eastern tip of the island (about a 10 minute drive) stands Fort Macon, a restored and newly-refurbished pre-Civil War fortress, the most-visited State park in North Carolina. Discover the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, located about two miles down the road in the Roosevelt Natural Area. Driving west, you will encounter the small fishing villages of Salter Path and Indian Beach and at the far western end of the island, the community of Emerald Isle.

Best Kept Secret in Pine Knoll Shores

  • 5 of 5

We loved this beautiful spacious beach home rented for our annual family beach getaway! Not only did we have marvelous views of the ocean, we felt like we had our own private beach as well! The large kitchen and dining area worked well for us because we enjoyed cooking our own meals and gathering around the large table together while looking out over the ocean! Our granddaughter put in her request to rent this home for the entire summer next year! The hot tub was so enjoyable and nice as was the convenience of having an outdoor bathroom and shower area! The owners were so kind and welcoming and the home was clean with all the comforts of home. We look forward to returning next year for another family beach week!

Phenomenal property with privacy, peace, and quiet

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home set in a forest on the dunes. Plenty of size for a somewhat larger party than ours but also not so large that our four adults and two kids felt lost in a mansion. Excellent amenities through the home's association with Beacons Reach, including a brand new pool near the Beacons Reach Marina. Easily the nicest hot tub setting of the half dozen or so rentals we have visited along Emerald Isle over the years. There are a few more steps than normal to go up and over the dunes on the private boardwalk to the beach, but it is through a very neat forest setting. We visited in early October and the weather was great. The ocean was very warm. The surf fishing was great this year. We all truly enjoyed our week of rest and fun at the beach this year.

Absolutely nothing overlooked

  • 5 of 5

Location, view, furnishings, amenities -- this wonderful beach house had everything we could have asked for and more. It's a very high-end property with a very welcoming character. There literally wasn't a single thing that we needed during our stay that wasn't provided. Everything was in excellent working condition, and the owners were extremely responsive to emailed questions about where things were, potential issues, etc. The proximity to the beach was a major factor in selecting this property, and we weren't disappointed. It was very convenient getting the family out to the beach and back a couple of times a day.

The only real issue for us was that for our extended family, we were about five years early in staying here. With very active one- and three-year old grandsons, we spent the first couple of hours child-proofing the house, and another seven days where the boys pointed out our many failures. The picture you see of the property is the deck off the third floor, and of course toddlers have a strange attraction to any staircase.

This was our first time in Pine Knoll Shores (several times in Emerald Isle back when we were living in Raleigh), and I think it's really the nicest area on the island. Close to Atlantic Beach and Morehead City for shopping and dining. The Beacon's Reach amenities were outstanding (pools, tennis courts) and easily accessible. The only issue I had was that the tennis/pool key was required to get *out* of each facility. Not only was this annoying and inconvenient, it meant that a family couldn't easily use the tennis court and the pool at the same time without a lot of coordination to be let out of the gate. Also, I can't see how this is compliant with local fire codes; how do you get out of the tennis court if you or your partner has a medical emergency? Not a knock on this property at all, just on Beacon's Reach.

All in all, well worth the price.

THE BEST VACATION EVER

  • 5 of 5

We loved Beacons Reach so much that we have reserved it for next summer!!!!!!

My family loved the beach house the minute they stepped in. The layout of the home was just perfect. The outside was great and the hottub area was like a zen garden. The walk way to the beach was great, it didn't feel like I was on a major hike. This was the first vacation we all enjoyed cooking our meals at the house and not going out to eat every night. We just didn't want to leave the property.

Thank you Jack and Janice

Fabulous!!

  • 5 of 5

The house at Pine Knoll Shores is beautiful and a perfect floor plan for families. Our granddaughters (4 & 6) loved the house--especially the bunk beds and elevator. The location is very private. We practically had the beach to ourselves. The pools are easily accessible in Beacon's Reach and were never crowded. We loved our week at this house & hope to stay in it again when our family returns to NC.

Wonderful!

Just returned from vacation at the Luttner's and they are truly terrific. The home is located on the beach with many amenities. The owners are great to work with and are available to handle any reasonable issue that may arise. We highly recommend this home for your vacation.
