Aina Nalu is situated in the heart of Historic Lahaina Town on 9 acres of lush tropical gardens. Our unit (D-206) is in a prime location with easy acess to both pools, jacuzzi, bbq's, and cabanas. It is a second floor unit with vaulted ceilings and no noise from above. It looks out over lush gardens and a small quiet pool. This unit has one bedroom with a King bed. There is a Double pullout couch in the living room. This unit has been newly remodeled with a large bathroom that has a slate step in shower. A/C and ceiling fans in all rooms. 2 flat screen TVs a DVD and W/D. Hair dryer, Ice Chest., Beach Towels. There is also WiFi access in the unit as well as anywhere on the property. There is a fully equipped kitchen in the unit and a grocery store only 3 blocks away.

One of the best features of our unit is where it is located. We are only 2 blocks from world famous restaurants, art galleries, shopping, public transportation, and Lahaina Harbor. When you stay in our unit, there is no need to rent a car because everything you need is within walking distance. Lahaina Harbor boasts a variety of activities such as surfing, fishing charters, dinner cruises, whale watching, ferries to Lanai or Molokai and snorkel trips.

The Aina Nalu property was built in 1980 (remodeled in 2005) and is a favorite place of people that return to Maui frequently. Because there is no building on the property over 2 stories, it has a very intimate feel. The Hawaiian ambiance and quiet laid back feel bring people back year after year.

About sara and gerry clark

Our names are Gerry and Sara Clark. We have lived and worked in Lahaina for over 27 years. Sara is from Indiana and Gerry is from San Diego. We both came to Maui for the year long perfect weather and the laid back lifestyle. We both love playing in the ocean, riding our mountain/road bikes, and running through the cane fields.

We both love living the small town lifestyle, where you can access all your needs by walking or riding a cruiser bike. We run into people we know throught our day which helps to create a strong caring community.

Sara was a concierge for many years and loves to help people make the most out of their vacation. You are welcome to e-mail us with any questions you might have.

We live one block from our unit and purchased at Aina Nalu to house our family and friends when they visit. Since we live only one block from condo, any issues that arise are immediately addressed. Aina Nalu is also the only Resort Condo in Lahaina Town and its convenient location and ammenities makes it a desirable property and a wonderfull place to stay.

What makes this condo unique

Our unit is unique in the fact that we have been long time Maui residents and live one block away. We are able to address any questions or issues in a timely manner and in person. It is also an upstairs unit, which has no foottraffic from above and is in a quiet location.

Because of our central location, there is no need to rent a vehicle. Imagine being able to walk to one of the many casual or fine dining restaurants, enjoy a cocktail, and not have to worry about driving back to your condo.

We love Lahaina in the mornings and often walk to the beach to watch the sun come up over the mountains and then stop to get coffee at a small cafe on the way home.

By staying in Lahaina Town you will get to experience the 'real' Maui.

Great condo right in Lahina

Mediocre overall

This location worked well for proximity to downtown and the unit was decent. You can hear EVERYTHING that goes on outside and next door, as the walls and windows are thin and old, respectively.

The issue we really had was that the entertainment areas on the grounds were inundated with kids and some local folks who didn't seem to appreciate visitors. The management should designate one pool for adults so we can actually relax and enjoy the location, not have out of control kids running between both pools and disrupting the environment. We were also subjected to what is known as "stink-eye" during two different large gatherings at the pavilions. There were at least 30-40 locals and their kids having parties at the complex and they were very sure to make it known that we were not welcome in the area during their get-together. Security was very lax on enforcing the so-called rules in the entertainment areas.

I would recommend another location if you don't have kids with you on your vacation, and don't care to deal with others' out of control minions.

Owner's Response: I am so sorry to hear about your experience with some of the other guests at the complex. Be aware that anytime you travel to Hawaii when school is out, there will be lots of families with kids at all the resorts.

Very clean, great location!

The property was very clean, both air conditioners worked and the washer/dryer in unit was amazing. Front street is less than a 5 min walk and we were always able to find free street parking. There are 2 warm water pools with fancy chair cushions. Overall great experience.

Great Lahaina stay

The apartment was perfectly comfortable, clean, nice amenities, and had a great bed, bathroom, and kitchen. LOVED the serene pool area, very beautiful. And the location is awesome for walking through town. We rented a crib and a stroller for our toddler and there was plenty of room for all of that.
