Unobstructed oceanfront comfortable 2 bdrm/2ba unit.

This ground floor unit makes it very convenient to walk out your lanai to the beach, tennis courts or lawn for a game of bocci ball. The master bedroom is on the ocean side and very quiet, except for the sounds of the birds singing and palm leaves blowing in the wind. It has a king size bed with an in-suite bathroom a flat screen TV and DVD. The 2nd bedroom has two twin beds.

The unit is equipped with beach towels, beach toys, chairs and a cooler for a day at the beach. The Luana Kai complex is conveniently located, and very well maintained.

Our unit has new bamboo floors throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, rice cooker, blender and all the cooking utensils and plates you need. There is a full size washer/dryer, two flat screen TVs, DVD and WiFi.

We know you will love staying at the Luana Kai and in unit 104A

LUANA KAI is an oceanfront complex in a low density peaceful area of North Kihei, twenty minutes from the airport between Maalaea harbor and Wailea. Truly oceanfront, there is a five mile long Sugar Beach extending from the property north to Maalaea, perfect for long morning and sunset walks. A pool and BBQ area are located in the tropically landscaped seaside grounds, BBQ and dining area provides stunning views of the ocean, Haleakala, the West Maui Mountains and Lanai. It is a great place to look for whales in the winter and relax and enjoy Maui’s breathtaking sunsets each evening.

The complex is located minutes away from shopping areas that will take care of all your vacation needs.

Loved the location, loved the island, loved the beach but NOT this condo.

This is an unobstructed view, beautiful property that is kept in great shape.

This particular condo, left lots to be desired in terms of the cleanliness.

I spoke with Malinee while at the property.This condo was dirty. Upon arrival we felt we the need to purchase some Lysol wipes and get at it. The phone was filthy, the fridge was dirty, doors were dirty. Drawers in the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen were not cleaned properly.

We had to wash some dishes before use. Night table in the master had something spilt on it. We cleaned it up.

I also want to point out, there is a difference between, a used item and one that was dirty.

Use you expect when using rental properties. Dirt you do not.

We are Canadian travelers and this unit cost us about $400 a night with exchange. We accepted that as a part of our travel plan.

We were greatly disappointed with the condo condition upon arrival.

I was told by Malinee, that we were in high season and it is difficult to keep the units at there best with quick turn arounds. I was told by people around us, the last people in this condo were the owners and they had left 3 days before us. Malinee did say this unit was up for a deep cleaning. Malinee asked what I felt would be the solution. I felt the deep cleaning should have been done before we arrived. There were 3 days in between.

Too ensure we were not being over the top picky, we actually checked out a couple of other units on the property while there. One was in the condo rental pool, one was another vrbo. Both were in far cleaner condition than this unit.

To be sure it is understood. We loved everything about Maui. Even the location of this property. The property as in the grounds, pool, bbq's, etc are in great condition.

This particular unit was dirty, no question about that.

We absolutely would return to this property as in Luana Kai again, but not to this unit.

While we loved our time and the island, the accommodation was very disappointing.

When I read through the comments, I see little in reference to what we were feeling about the condition and I also note, not everyone comments. Rather than just walk away and say we would not return to this unit, provides no appropriate feedback for the owner and other travelers to this unit. I feel it very important to pass the info on.

I trust this will be posted.

Condo has amazing view, and everything we needed!

The pictures and description are not exaggerated. This condo is well worth it! Our family was on the go, and the location seemed centrally located on the island, and was a great place to start and end the days, and for the in between times as well. We were able to explore the island from ease from this spot. The condo had all the beach stuff we needed, and that makes all the difference. I would highly recommend staying here. It was a very clean and spacious condo for our adult family of five. The property itself is also clean, and we felt very safe here.

Malinee, the property manager, was very helpful and friendly! She replied to my emails or phone calls very quickly. I was grateful for her help.

I was also happy to see the list on "leaving expectations" were clear and easy enough to not stress about. I've stayed in some rentals that had very long lists of expectations. We had also received our cleaning deposit very quickly.

I did forget to sign in on the guest book though. Stay here and you won't regret it!

Didn't end up here.....

Due some last minute air conditioning issues, we were moved to another complex/condo unit which we found quite nice and actually liked it better than this original one! Thanks for all the troubleshooting and making arrangements for the back up unit which turned out to be quite nice.

We would definitely consider going back to it again.

Terrific ocean front condo in a great location

We've just returned from an 11 day stay at this condo in Kihei and it was wonderful. It is beautifully decorated, updated and very clean. We loved that it had a washer and dryer in the unit as well as beach towels. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'd need while you're away from home. I loved the plastic plates and cups so we could dine by the pool. We bbq'd by the pool almost every night using one of big gas bbq's. It was also really nice being on the ground floor. The Luana Kai property is well maintained, it has plenty of parking and is easy to walk around.

The property manager was very helpful and responded to us very quickly when we had a question. My family can't wait to go to this condo.

3. This is a 100% non-smoking unit.
4. No illegal activities in the unit at any time.
5. Rates are based on 4 guests, additional $15/night applies per person for 5th & 6th guests (age 12 and older).
6. Shall the renter break the House Rules, the renter will immediately need to take corrective actions to fix the problem. Any subsequent infractions and the agent of the owner shall take appropriate action which may include cancellation of the rental agreement, eviction from the property, and financial restitution for damage caused.
7. Any fines incurred during the period of occupancy are the responsibility of the renter.
8. The full rental Security deposit of 25% is required to confirm reservation. Full payment is due 90 days prior to arrival.
Mandatory: Refundable damage deposit of $300 (full refund 7-10 days after departure, less repair/replace costs and fees if any).
Cancellations Policy: More than 90 days, full refund, less $25 fee.
Less than 90 days notice – refund only for nights the unit is rented, less fee.
