Unobstructed oceanfront comfortable 2 bdrm/2ba unit.
This ground floor unit makes it very convenient to walk out your lanai to the beach, tennis courts or lawn for a game of bocci ball. The master bedroom is on the ocean side and very quiet, except for the sounds of the birds singing and palm leaves blowing in the wind. It has a king size bed with an in-suite bathroom a flat screen TV and DVD. The 2nd bedroom has two twin beds.
The unit is equipped with beach towels, beach toys, chairs and a cooler for a day at the beach. The Luana Kai complex is conveniently located, and very well maintained.
Our unit has new bamboo floors throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, rice cooker, blender and all the cooking utensils and plates you need. There is a full size washer/dryer, two flat screen TVs, DVD and WiFi.

LUANA KAI is an oceanfront complex in a low density peaceful area of North Kihei, twenty minutes from the airport between Maalaea harbor and Wailea. Truly oceanfront, there is a five mile long Sugar Beach extending from the property north to Maalaea, perfect for long morning and sunset walks. A pool and BBQ area are located in the tropically landscaped seaside grounds, BBQ and dining area provides stunning views of the ocean, Haleakala, the West Maui Mountains and Lanai. It is a great place to look for whales in the winter and relax and enjoy Maui’s breathtaking sunsets each evening.
The complex is located minutes away from shopping areas that will take care of all your vacation needs.

The property was great, quiet and peaceful and we were very happy with it.
Malinee the property manager was excellent, always prompt with questions and concerns. The second bedroom has high windows with no views but other than that everything was wonderful.
Good location and beautiful view
The condo was great. We loved the privacy of this unit, the view of the ocean, the close access to the pool, and the convenience of the unit. It was clean and very well stocked with everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable. The pool was a nice place to get out of the windy conditions that we were having, and there were always lounge chairs available. The barbecues received lot of use, and were kept very clean by the staff. I'm currently looking at the possibility of going back there again in the fall, and with the large grass field between the lanai and the ocean, it will be a great place for the grandchildren to run around and play.

A good thorough cleaning would make the unit show better. A new paint job would lighten it up or even just all the walls and light switches washed down would help. The unit was dark. More lights needed. The code to the suite was changed prior to the 1100 check-out so we needed have the door opened for us prior to leaving.

No earlier. The guest called at 11:10 am. to obtain a one time code so he can pick up his luggage, which I was happy to provide. Our cleaners work very hard to keep the condo clean and fresh for each stay. We do use guest's comments to help improve our unit. A Kihei hidden gem
My overall reaction to this property was mixed until I settled in and then I really appreciated all that this property had to offer. First off the location in Kihei proved to be a great find. I have been to Maui a few times and wanted away from the Lahaina and Kaanapali craziness. This part of Maui is a bit more laid back. The apartment is well laid out with all of the supplies to get you off and running. This proved to be a huge help. They had all the gear we would need while on the island and yes the beach is right in front of you. As we were leaving to go to the next part of our trip we all said this would be a place to return.
Malinee was very helpful and the unit was as advertised

1. Check In: after 3:00 pm 2. Check Out: by 11:00 am 3. This is a 100% non-smoking unit. 4. No illegal activities in the unit at any time. 5. Rates are based on 4 guests, additional $15/night applies per person for 5th & 6th guests (age 12 and older). 6. Shall the renter break the House Rules, the renter will immediately need to take corrective actions to fix the problem. Any subsequent infractions and the agent of the owner shall take appropriate action which may include cancellation of the rental agreement, eviction from the property, and financial restitution for damage caused. 7. Any fines incurred during the period of occupancy are the responsibility of the renter. 8. The full rental Security deposit of 25% is required to confirm reservation. Full payment is due 90 days prior to arrival. Mandatory: Refundable damage deposit of $300 (full refund 7-10 days after departure, less repair/replace costs and fees if any).
