Super close to swimming Cape Cod beach

  • 3 of 5

The location was great for accessing the beach just steps away from this home. The location was good for what we were looking for - as we spent a few days in Boston and then a few days out exploring the rest of the Cape Code area. The house had lots of sleeping room as noted and the rooms had stand along A/C options which was necessary many nights in late July. The master bedroom (upstairs) was pretty warm and the AC unit was quite loud which was unfortunate - so a couple nights we opened up the window and shut it off to get some fresh quiet air. The kitchen had the necessary plates/utensils for preparing most items but could use some new pots/pans as some where old and the pan coating was wearing off into the food so we were limited - but we figured it out. The upstairs bathroom could use a real good cleaning and I would recommend to de-clutter throughout the house if its going to be used for a rental - it would be easier to keep clean. We appreciated the two chairs and two beach towels that were were provided for use but renters should note that beach towels for more than two guests is not provided. I always like to think about what I would differently if I owned the property and with it being so close to the beach and likely getting people traveling from a far - more beach chairs, towels, and maybe some toys would have been nice as we didn't have the luxury to bring much of that... All in all, it was a decent place to hang our hat for the week given its location.

Location was excellent if you like the beach and want to avoid trying to find a beach car park.

  • 4 of 5

George and Joe made us very welcome. We were first time visitors to America so it was quite comforting to have people on hand who knew the area and could provide you with good tourist tips.Although Joe and George are in the basement they do not bother you at all unless you want them to and enter in and out via a seperate entrance- Infact we hardly saw them unless we wanted to ask something .The property location for us was excellent- a few yards from the beach. This was a real bonus as driving to a beach and finding a parking space is quite a feat on Cape Cod and it saves the parking fee.! However if anyone has mobility difficulties it is 37 steps down to the beach.Plenty of kitchen utensils and plenty of towels.- very comfortable and just what was required after a hectic time visiting New York and Boston.-.If one wanted to raise a slight observation it could be said that perhaps the property was in slight need of updating in places but that maybe just a personal unfair view and actually added to the charm as it created a relaxed and laid back environment -the location was also great because it's just before Cape Cod which means you can leave the crowds on Cape Cod and get on and off easily. Near the ferry in Plymouth which can take you to Provincetown- again a bonus avoiding the traffic.Would we return? The answer is yes- the location was wonderful and by the end of the week we felt relaxed and a good time was had by all. ( A family of 4-Mum Dad a 20 year old and a teenager).

Fourth of July Vacation 2016

  • 5 of 5

The property was great. Loved the outdoor space and the short walk to the beach. The owner of the property was very gracious, and accommodating. I would highly recommend this property. Lots of space, and sitting on the outside deck is like being in another oasis.

Quaint and Comfortable & Well Stocked

  • 4 of 5

George greeted us upon arrival, and during the grand tour a hungry hummingbird began feasting on the beautiful flowers on the deck. The warm welcome set the tone for our vacation! This was a "bucket list" trip for my ill sister, who along with my family of 4 which includes 2 teenagers, found the accommodations to very well suited to our needs. Some may find the skylight in the master bedroom to be bothersome, so I would recommend a sleep mask if you're not an early riser. We enjoy early morning walks on the beach, so it wasn't an issue. And, of course, it's easy to sneak a nap on the beautiful beach or one of the comfortable lounge chairs on the deck. The home is well stocked with all of the necessities and easily accessible. Our only regret is that we packed so much into the week that we didn't have as many opportunities to relax on the deck and enjoy the gorgeous garden as we would've liked, but maybe next time.

Inviting and relaxation

  • 5 of 5

The pictures are exactly how it looks. When you walk in it feels like home. Has a beach feeling. Very clean and well maintained. I chose it because it being so close to the beach which is only minutes to the ocean. Though to get to the water there are a lot of stairs down but it is private and not crowded during the week. George welcomes you into his home with open arms and is there to help if you need him. Back porch is so inviting to relax on and enjoyed several lobster dinners. I hated to leave at the end of the week. Will definitely be back again.

Comfortable & Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

George & Joe were the perfect hosts! The house has a great view of the Atlantic and is a very short walk to a nice private beach, although we spent a ton of time relaxing on the back patio looking at the beautiful garden. We slept 7 people very comfortably and we were all sad it had to end after the week we spent there. We would definitely visit again!
