About Melissa Myers

Gerry, an etched glass artist, and Melissa, an interior designer, purchased this 'building no one wanted' and our relationship to this historic property has been a longstanding love affair. We enjoy sharing it with others and have met a lot of fun and interesting people doing just that.

Melissa Myers purchased this apartment in 1996

Why Melissa Myers chose Central City/Garden District

Gerry had his Architectural Etched Glass business in this building for over twenty years.

What makes this apartment unique

Our location is like the old French Quarter with similar architecture, hidden courtyards, and very creative people living and working here. It has a village feel that we love.

Amazing.

The pictures do not do this beautiful apartment justice. This is a really special place. Attention to detail is impressive. The location is great too. Plenty of locally owned shops and restaurants within a very short walk. Very quiet compared to other parts of New Orleans. The balcony is great! I hope we can return someday.

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

Such a cute neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street. Easy access to all other areas of New Orleans. Even though parking isn't included, we never had a problem finding a free spot to park within a block of the apartment. Love the high ceilings! Lots of character and elegance! The owners give you lots of information about things to do and were very easy to deal with. Thank you!

MAGICAL

  • 5 of 5

We spent 4 days over Christmas in this gorgeous apartment. Don't hesitate....just book it. You are in for a real treat. Steps from the bus into the French Quarter. A very cozy, warm and spacious apartment to come back to every day. Owners Melissa and Gerry are accommodating and available. Melissa is an Interior Decorator and it surely shows in the magic she and Gerry have created here.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Our Thanksgiving stay at Casabianca was a wonderful escape. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious, well furnished and beautifully decorated. The balcony was the perfect spot for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails while watching the people on Magazine Street. The location is perfect! Easy walking distance to several great restaurants and all sorts of shopping! The building is safe, secure and quiet, the area seemed to be as well. We had no problems whatsoever, and Melissa and Gerry couldn't have been better hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will make this our N.O. 'home away from home'. Looking forward to our next stay at Casabianca!

Gorgeous New Orleans Experience

  • 5 of 5

This property was perfection. Having coffee on the balcony looking over Magazine St was the perfect way to start every day. In fact, I wish I was on that balcony right now.

The apartment is so well located we could (and did) walk to almost everything.

Gerry and Melissa were lovely hosts and the apartment is impeccably decorated. It's like staying in your well-traveled, well-read, BoBo best friend's apartment. The decor is so soothing, we walked into Casabianca and immediately felt relaxed and on vacation.

We can't imagine staying anywhere else in New Orleans after our experience here. Thank you to our great hosts!

This is a dream spot

  • 5 of 5

This was without a doubt the best place that we have ever stayed. It's amazing in more ways than I can possibly describe. Is comfortable beyond words and in the perfect spot. It's close to lots of restaurants and shops, yet still quiet in the evenings. We absolutely loved staying here and will definitely be back!
