About Melissa Myers
Gerry, an etched glass artist, and Melissa, an interior designer, purchased this 'building no one wanted' and our relationship to this historic property has been a longstanding love affair. We enjoy sharing it with others and have met a lot of fun and interesting people doing just that.
Melissa Myers purchased this Apartment in 1996
Why Melissa Myers chose Lower Garden District
Gerry had his Architectural Etched Glass business in this building for over twenty-five years.
What makes this Apartment unique
Our location is like the old French Quarter with similar architecture, hidden courtyards, and very creative people living and working here. It has a village feel that we love.

Even better than it looks!
The pictures do not do justice to the space. It is HUGE, open, airy and bright. The apartment is beautifully decorated, stocked with everything you could need and very clean. The location just can't be beat. And the patio is also bigger than it looks - just perfect for people watching and relaxing. Don't hesitate - book this property!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. We greatly appreciate your comments!
Casabianca was a great experience.
The living room is huge with seating for a dozen people and the high ceilings and windows make it feel almost palatial. The kitchen was quite nice. The bedroom was spacious with a large walk-in closet and quiet. Couldn't hear any street noise at all.
Magazine street is on the #11 bus line and we didn't have to rent a car. We could take the bus to the WW2 museum and to Canal street and the French Quarter. The unit is within easy walking distance of the Garden District mansions. A number of eateries are just down the street. Our favorites are Juans' Flying Burrito, Down the Hatch and Magazine Po-Boy shop. We're looking forward to staying at Casabianca next time we visit NOLA.
We appreciate your taking the time to write a review. AND we are glad you enjoyed Casabianca and look forward to your return.
