About Melissa Myers

Gerry, an etched glass artist, and Melissa, an interior designer, purchased this 'building no one wanted' and our relationship to this historic property has been a longstanding love affair. We enjoy sharing it with others and have met a lot of fun and interesting people doing just that.

Melissa Myers purchased this apartment in 1996

Why Melissa Myers chose Central City/Garden District

Gerry had his Architectural Etched Glass business in this building for over twenty years.

What makes this apartment unique

Our location is like the old French Quarter with similar architecture, hidden courtyards, and very creative people living and working here. It has a village feel that we love.

Even better than it looks!

  • 5 of 5

The pictures do not do justice to the space. It is HUGE, open, airy and bright. The apartment is beautifully decorated, stocked with everything you could need and very clean. The location just can't be beat. And the patio is also bigger than it looks - just perfect for people watching and relaxing. Don't hesitate - book this property!

Lovely Place to Stay When in New Orleans

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I have stayed at Casabianca several times over the past years and absolutely love it. A classic New Orleans feel. Very clean and comfortable and great location. The owners, Melissa and Gerry are wonderful, and couldn't be more accommodating. We hope to stay there again soon!

Stunningly Magical!

  • 5 of 5

I searched for a property for Mardi Gras that would have the following characteristics:

1) be close enough to the excitement but far enough away for peaceful sleeps

2) access to an outdoor space with a grill

3) have a bath-tub to soak in after long days

4) have a king bed

5) super wifi

This property nailed all of that and SO MUCH MORE! Fully equipped - everything you could possibly want, need, or desire was at our fingertips. The bed was super comfortable and the location was absolutely perfect! Both Gerry and Melissa were outstanding hosts - they gave us enough privacy, but engaged with us when we were up for that too. I would not hesitate to stay here again (or move in!)...a spectacularly decorated-true-to-nola-history-gem. This is the place you need to experience... it is perfection!

Amazing.

  • 5 of 5

The pictures do not do this beautiful apartment justice. This is a really special place. Attention to detail is impressive. The location is great too. Plenty of locally owned shops and restaurants within a very short walk. Very quiet compared to other parts of New Orleans. The balcony is great! I hope we can return someday.

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

Such a cute neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street. Easy access to all other areas of New Orleans. Even though parking isn't included, we never had a problem finding a free spot to park within a block of the apartment. Love the high ceilings! Lots of character and elegance! The owners give you lots of information about things to do and were very easy to deal with. Thank you!

MAGICAL

  • 5 of 5

We spent 4 days over Christmas in this gorgeous apartment. Don't hesitate....just book it. You are in for a real treat. Steps from the bus into the French Quarter. A very cozy, warm and spacious apartment to come back to every day. Owners Melissa and Gerry are accommodating and available. Melissa is an Interior Decorator and it surely shows in the magic she and Gerry have created here.
